Actually i have a chihuahua and got mine for free. Pets aren't there just for your enterainment, they're a responsibility. If you can't properly take care of the physcial as well as mental needs then you probably shouldn't have one. That being said it's always better to go the shelter route instead of buying a dog. So many shelter animals never get a home and have to be killed.
