Can you add notifications on thread titles? I wasn't notified when Lauda & Loyce please confirm your gender... was created.

Yes that is doable and usefull, i will add it as soon as i have some spare time to work on it.

Hi Piggy,
First of all, I've been using your bot for a few days and I'm thrilled. It's exactly the feature I've been wanting from Bitcointalk for a long time.
Today I noticed that the bot has problems with quotes in some situations. I don't know if this is a known problem. I just want to inform you about it.

Here is the notification post I am talking about:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.50469983

I guess DarkKnightNeverDie messed up his quoting when he made his post, and just after he posted it he saw the mistake and corrected it in the given cool down time, so the last edit time stamp doesn't appear. The bot reads only the recent posts and not the late editions.
Could also be a bug, but less likely.

Yes this seems to be the case, has been happening before and not much can be done.

How is the plagiarism checking feature going you mentioned a few months ago?

Didn't actually make much progresses on that unfortunately, it's mainly matter of coming up with a way to automate some effective check, which doesn't seem very easy.  Undecided

Now should work the notification also for all those cases where the names are between tags like these, there can even be some space before or after the username:

Amazing enhancement. Thanks Smiley

Looking forward to see the next new features.

LoyceV on the road. Or couch.
Thanks, that works!

I'm using my alt to test this: http://loyce.club/trust/ranking/

When someone refers to me as Loyce, the bot doesn't notify me either.
Have you tried setting an alias? Try sending a private message to the bot with the subject options and include the following text in the body alias:Loyce. I didn't test it so I have no idea if it's going to work.
That works already:
Working example:

@asche! @actmyname? @Loyce( test ) @babo.

What I meant is someone posting this:
Code:
[url=https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/loycev-459836]Loyce[/url]
or
Code:
[url=https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/loycev-459836]LoyceV[/url]

Great idea! Merit for You!  Grin

Also it might be a good thing if you mention in the rules if you have to use @ for telegram username or not. Although it seems obvious.

Noted, in any case doesn't make any difference, is able to recognize either way.

.

It's still fine it seems, there are more users but relatively a small amount to handle.

I think this case may be collapsed somehow into looking for something like this :

]%anyspace%username%anyspace%[

%anyspace% is just one or more empty spaces

Then combined with an extra character at the end. I can check and if there is no side effects, i can add this as well.

He would have to make the bot detect at least 3 extra characters after user's nickname. Some people add 's to nicknames and the bot does not send notification in such case either.
When someone refers to me as Loyce, the bot doesn't notify me either. For my nickname, it would be okay to detect it as part of any long string, but for shorter names (such as Vod) that would give false positives.
I'd also like to know when someone refers to loyce.club, but that's usually part of a much longer URL too.

How many resources does the bot use? The number of users has significantly risen since I have checked this topic last time.

Can you make the bot detect and notify you when someone mentions you inside a tag (bold, italic, size, etc)?

@Piggy Do you think if you scale the bot to send a notification on a watched list thread would be a good idea?

Personally, I don't like the way BT notify a news post on a watch list thread via email.

That would require quite a bit of work as the bot is not designed for that specifically and since the forum is already providing that notification, it would be kind of overdoing. Smiley
