The script has nothing to do with the forum. It applies to any webpage really.

You can also try using third party checking software like this: https://visualping.io/
Thank you asche, I will try with https://visualping.io and see if it detects changes in the profiles on some of the users I want to follow.
In the address bar I will put the link to their Show the last topics started by this person. I guess that is the right way to do it.

In the past i use this trick
- curl url
- md5 it
- check if equal to stored md5
- another curl for send telegram msg

Check my github blackout314/boilerplate/shell

I used in the past for check exams results of college (with email)

I forgot more than you will ever know.
Update: asche's suggestion looks much better Smiley

Also the browser extension only works when... well when the browser is executing on your machine Wink

Which can be an issue when you want to be alerted at any time hehe.

The best use case here is to execute such script on a vps you own. Some exist written in bash. But as I understand it you have little technical knowledge so you will have to rely on 3rd party software.

Is that script available somewhere on the forum?
You're looking for a browser extension, such as Check4Change.

General warning: always be careful with browser extensions, especially in combination with irreversible cryptocurrencies.

You can already do that with a script that checks differences in the last topics posted page of these users.

I really don't think Piggy will want to implement this in his bot, eventhough it would be quite easy.
Thats interesting. Is that script available somewhere on the forum? Or can you suggest who I should contact to get the script?
Unfortunately I dont have any coding knowledge just in case you are proposing that I create one myself.

I wanted to ask you something. Would it be possible to add a feature to your bot so that it sends a notification every time a user I choose created a new thread?
I want to follow a few users from this forum and be informed every time they create new threads. Just new threads, not every post they make. Do you think that is possible to do?

Tech issue?
Anyway, for me, telegram notifications are most useful than pm
Is nice if you can extract some statistics about use of bot

I turned it back on now.

Oh, anyways I found notifications via PM a lot easier to manage because I don't need to go to any other app only can see them from my account after a click of a button.

Thanks for the fast reply.

For some reason I no longer receive notifications from the bot in Telegram...

Same here, from yesterday I don't get any notifications. I will try to unsubscribe again and subscribe only for PM's here on Bitcointalk.

I hope this will work and update here if not.

Hello!
If I want to receive notifications once every three hours, I need to send PM to Maggiordomo with subject options and setting:

Code:
notificationinterval:180

This,  the other would not work

This is just for those who want to receive the notification through the forum:

If you want to change the frequency at which you will receive the PM notifications, you can send this command with a number between 0 and 12*60, this indicates the delay in minutes which will occur from the first notification before it will be delivered. I set it to 60 minutes for everybody but is 0 to new people subscribing which means it will be instant.

Code:
notificationinterval:2

If something doesn't work as expected please report it in here

...wwzsocki seems has sent the notification to somebody in telegram, if you didnt get it unsubscribe and register telegram again...

Indeed after unsubscribe and subscribe back in the Telegram notifications started to work as supposed to.

But there is again a problem with PM's because I stopped to receive them from the last few hours and I was quoted and mentioned during this time a few times for sure.

Let's hope that now after resubscribing PM's will be working back again as they should.

Thanks for the update and sorry to be such a pain in the ...
