I noticed @Piggy went online at the end of July.
I haven’t been able to contact him since a long time ago, but at least seeing him checking in, reassures me he’s ok.
I would love him to be back posting, but I do respect his choices.

It's work in progress, but works already, and continues from the moment Maggiordomo went offline (until I remove old notifications after 7 days).
You'll need to subscribe in that topic to use it.

More like 2-3€/month. And someone as savvy as Piggy will most definitely have some dedicated servers already. Not like he is leasing extra HW for such a small project (small in term of processing power/storage/bandwith)

The VPS is not an issue here, the person disappearing is. VPS even if paid for years in advance still needs some maintenance from time to time and if only one person has access to it - that's always going to be a problem. Scraping posts is also an inherently unstable business (a minor tweak to forum's HTML may break it) so what's needed is not just someone with remote reboot access but also access to the code, or open source code.
I was working on a plan to address this but seeing how LoyceV is taking it over let's see what he comes up with.

Telegram bot is not working. Is there a problem?
If you read the posts from the previous page, it’s most likely that the VPS where Maggiordomo is running has expired. And you can see in the second post of Piggy that it hasn’t been updated. The last parsed messages is 12/12/19. I am also not getting any PM notifications in the last two days. Just noticed that another user replied and quoted one of my posts but I wasn't notified over PM. I am not sure if there are more quotes. Usually I get at least 2-3 PMs daily but in the last two days there hasn't been any notifications.
There’s a discussion on the old posts and I think it would benefit your thoughts with regards to what happened. I was surprised as well when I wasn’t receiving PM’s too.

Would it be possible to have the bot let you track a specific thread? There's some threads that I've created where I'd like to get notified when someone replies, even if I'm not explicitly mentioned.

In the meantime (until LoyceV finishes their bot), your best bet is probably to use the forum's search function. It's *slightly* better than Maggiordomo as you get a few more results that Maggiordomo missed, but it's a manual check unfortunately.
Once I have it working, it'll be easy to expand with keywords (say: "Bitcoin") and a blacklist (we all know who I'm talking about) of users to ignore.

I can set up something similar to LoyceV's: Follow users on Bitcointalk.org (posts and/or topics), but so far that doesn't have a lot of users.
It's less easy to follow than PMs, but doesn't give PM-spam for active users and you could use a Browser plugin such as check4change for it to get notifications.
If there's a demand, I'll make it. Including a blacklist
Dealing with quotes is a bit annoying though, so I need some time to make this.it will be great if you can do that because it will make us know every Quote/mention made with our username in it so we can reply immediately to their posts

).I think there are quite a few Maggiordomo bot users, taking into consideration how many views this thread has compared to others started at the same time.
I see that without the bot and notifications I am missing or am too late with a lot of things on the forum.
...I'd never see the local boards on which I'm mentioned without a bot...
That was just a perfect tool to be fully aware of all activity on the forum in which we were involved and additionally give the insights about things we are not aware of like username mentions, quotes and so on. Without this bot, we are missing a lot of organic action which concerns us. I think all actual Maggiordomo bot users know exactly what I am talking about. The daily tasks on the forum are much easier and faster with this bot.

I already found this thread but for me, this doesn't work at all in Google, Firefox, Edge, Brave and these are all browsers I am actually using.
