https://www.betcoin.ag/security-advisory-email-scam-attempt-alertWe have received word of an email that has gone out to some players about a potential bonus opportunity. This email may show up as being from
[email protected] or
[email protected] and suggests a potential Betcoin bonus if you send funds to specific crypto addresses. This email is a scam attempt and should be ignored.
Betcoin will never request funds or provide you a deposit address by email. The deposit addresses which are specific to your player account can only be found in your dashboard screen.
We do send our own bonus offers by email at times. Ways you can detect the false ones from our real bonus emails include:
1. The grammar on the scam attempts is usually poor
2. Our emails will come from
[email protected] or
[email protected]3. We will never give a special deposit address
If you ever have a concern about an email you have received, we ask that you contact us by email, support ticket or live chat so that we may investigate. We take your security very seriously.
Due to the age of the accounts that have reported this so far, we believe this email is related to a breach that occured several years ago where our email list was infiltrated. No player funds were hacked at that time and we have since increased security measures heavily. Therefore at this time, we have no reason to believe that any account created since then has an email address is at risk. Either way, player funds are always safe. We ask that anyone else who has received this email forward it to
[email protected] so that we may do as thorough an investigation as possible.
Thank you for your assistance in this continuing investigation,
Betcoin Security
