Immediately I saw that on Flashscore I knew it was a good week for those that brought in Pickford, regardless of what happens in the game vs Liverpool, he's already paid enough dividends to cover a DGW.

An assist for Gakpo today, but no extra points so it's not so bad having Slot then, I don't think Liverpool would fail to beat Everton in the next game, it sure should get better with a Gakpo blank Grin

I think the decision was announced on Thursday or thereabout, I was also very close to taking out Wood for Watkins for a -4 points hit, fortunately the budget budget wasn't enough, so I did Mateta to Watkins instead, epic disaster averted!

^ Well. My first gamble for DGW already bit me in the ass as I swapped Wood out and he's bound to get 17 points from today's outing. Level on goals with Isak now too, damn. So much for hoping that Brighton would actually show up -- Wood's goals were just so... preventable. That's the top 3 on a Wood hattrick. A reminder I need to actually play FPL properly and not take these dumb gambles.

That’s what is come down to for most of them players now, it’s more like having to settle for money, it’s what they need to make off their careers in the end right… sadly, you lose focus and the audience that brought you to light. Even a pro league player could do badly in a league where you’ve not got the support of the team and it’s not challenging. It’s how they get to fail and fall out of focus. Many joined up because they hope to play with Ronaldo, they tend to forget, Ronaldo only joined the Saudi league for a retirement benefit that is paying off.

Well, he has made his choice and will have to live with it. Saudi favored some players; they were able to settle in well, while others struggled. He sure also got a difficult club in Saudi Arabia to move to as a young striker with Ronaldo still on a record hunt in the team. One thing is sure: attention reduces when you move to Saudi Arabia. I rarely hear of Ivan Tooney these days.

We turned him down last summer but the reason he turned down multiple offers In Europe and also abandoned the CL is money motivated..
