So are you saying to us the Manchester City scored 6 goals and no one was made by Haaland and Julian Alvarez? No sense. I cant imagine a guy who was making other things and heard the city make 6 goals, and he thinks to himself "ohh good how much points are waiting for me in Fantasy, so much goals for Haaland and Alvarez" and when he check..... NONE.

^Why is everyone so hyped on Arsenal? They are actually quite bad this season if you compare their current data with last season data. Yeah, they had some nice results and got a lot of points so far but other then Saka I wouldn't really want any of their players for long time.

I completely have the same idea with you. For example they played very bad in the Chelsea match. Besides they were horrible in the matches they won home against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest as well.I'm always trying to give Saka a place in my fantasy squad because of his always being a player who can score and make assists anyway.

Finally Haaland can rest and give us the managers breathing space without too much tinkering, replacing him would be very essential and would separate the sheep from the goats, the Haaland template is beginning to get boring, you can't think of a replacing him even during his drought period because of his ownership would put you at a huge disadvantage.

I didn't watch a second of the match but after seeing the scoreline I was ecstatic, that this must be a good week, not nothing he didn't more than a single point  Sad

Hahah, nice to see the Haaland panic Grin
The guy's built like a horse though, I think it's nothing serious.

What to say about Doku? 4 assists from expected 0.38 xA.
He's got 2 goals and 5 assists total from 0.5 and 1.7 xG and xA, way above expected return - especially today.

I do like how he plays though - he's very direct. I won't be picking him in my team (much better City options available), but fair play to 2% of the players that risked with him.

Saka was kept quiet today against Newcastle, and a game that should have ended with both teams having one point was destroyed again with another very wrong decision from VAR and the officials who allowed that Newcastle goal stand.

EVEN A CHILD CAN SEE THAT THE BALL WAS CLEARLY OUT OF PLAY!!!

Then how was Joelington's push on Gabriel not a foul?

These people are big cheats!!!

Saka blanked for another week. This is like the 3rd week this season that he has blanked with very little returns. At the beginning of the season, I had both Martineli and Saka but they underperformed and both picked up injuries even though Saka was back faster than Martineli, samw thing. I sold him off a week or two ago and I'm glad I did even though I know he would pick form sooner or later.

Also, sorry for Arsenal fans that got a taste of the brutal EPL VAR. it's the same way Liverpool got a goal flagged as offside just a couple of weeks ago only for the goal to be confirmed after the game ended. Arsenal will probably receive an apology from the officials, nothing more.

@Igebotz why didn't you captain Haaland? Surely this week he hauls again?

You now know the answer! Decisions like this are what distinguishes professional managers from potential managers. Just when everyone expected him to haul, I didn't believe it. He will now be gone from my team for a few weeks. Salah Hattrick is necessary tomorrow for me to move into the top five.
I’ll be surprised if you go by that decision as only over the night, you reckoned on my decision to use Haaland to top up my bankroll to get other players in the likes of M. Salah and H. Son in wasn’t the best of ideas. I’m so proud of my decisions on E. Haaland based on the results from the game week, all thanks to Pep but then, 2 points for a Captain, even Bowen from GW10 was great choice.

Halaand was knocked out and taken off - I'm keeping an eye on his situation, but if he puts me in a 50-50% delima by Friday noon, he's gone! I can get by with Watkins and Alvarez for a few GWs till Halaand heals. I merely mentioned having Halaand provides you an advantage, not that he's irreplaceable. We've reached the point where the captaincy and chips must be applied accurately.

This is Manchester city next 3 fixtures; Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham - Halaand is not a big game player.

Doku has brought such a boost to the Manchester City squad and you can say he fits in very well, forces the attack just as much as Pep would have expected of him but, does he really fit to feature on your teams? I mean, his a good player but, there’s questions on playing time and if he’s going to be able to produce those needed points but hey, how can we tell.

He did great today.

Doku and Diaby are great differential options. If you need any to make dangerous moves then you would need either of these players. I would consider Doku at some point of the season but that would mean getting out Alvarez. I can't do max 3 for a team

Schar is ill, and I'm not sure how long he'll be out, so I took him out for Crystal Palace Ghehi. Crystal Palace has a good run of games ahead of them, and I expect them to keep at least three clean sheets.

I'm in the market for another defender since Botman's injury setback completely disrupted my plans for GW13 and 16.

Preferably <4.5 and can be expected to keep a clean sheet.

Ghehi paid up just fine- Crystal palace are solid at the back + good runs of game incoming I expect more clean sheet pointy

Bloody hell, Haaland got a knock. Everyone's in shambles now, except for the 3 people who captained Salah.  Cry
In a goal thriller like this one that saw 7 goals in the match & Haaland who is expected to be on the scoresheet is nowhere to be seen, unbelievable and to make matters worse had him as my captain only to secure 2 points when doubled WTF Tongue

I would say Liverpool are facing an easier opponent in Luton compared to Man City playing against Bournemouth, although both teams are doing similarly awful, so Salah or Haaland for captaincy seemed more like a coinflip, however, I switched my captain back to Haaland for this week, because he seemed to have found his fine strokes yet again, and he doesn't even need to do too much before scoring huge amount of points. Having both of them is better regardless of who gets the captain band, you won't miss out on too much points if you choose the wrong between either players, but not having the one that gets the most points could have a significant adverse effect.

Yeah, they had some nice results and got a lot of points so far but other then Saka I wouldn't really want any of their players for long time. Nketiah is a great few week punt before Jesus comes back since those are best fixtures for Arsenal anyway. But he will be useless once Jesus returns. Arsenal is also really hard to target for returns, they are spreading their goals over all attacking players, same as Brighton. I prefer my Spurs assets, Son and Maddison, when Spurs score I know one of them is involved almost always.

We are also getting closer to GW18 and most of don't have wildcard anymore. That GW is a blank for City and Brentford. I know I will have Haaland and quite probably Mbuemo from GW14 onward. That is already 2 players I have to bench. Then I also have Alvarez from the begging and a lot of money tied in him. If you are in similar situation, don't go for more City/Brentford players, you are just doing problems for yourself down the road. As it is, I need all 3 bench players to be good enough to field in that GW. If only Jesus was going to miss that long, Nketiah as 8th attacker would solve a lot of my problems.

Alvarez => Darwin looks like a great move if you can pull that off before GW18. Well for me I'd have to free up funds in defense and midfield, which should not be too hard as Botman is injured anyway (and had a recent setback in recovery, grrrrr) since I'm literally 0 ITB.

Giving up Halaand is a tremendous mistake; you can't compete for a higher  place without him; he's one of the most consistent and resilient players. Every haul he makes is going to affect your position.
Don’t make me regret my decisions too early, lol…  Grin

Well, I know the quality of E. Haaland but, he obviously had all the money to bankroll my bringing in H. Son and M. Salah who has remain consistent in recent times, either coming through with goals or assist and even both. For the very least, I think both players could match E. Haaland to a great extent.

Perhaps I’ll see to bringing him in later but, would test run a team without the phenomenal Haaland for few GW and see how it goes.
For the positions, we’ve not gone half the season yet although, I understand every step on the way counts but, there’s time to change things if I could make some good decisions later on the season. Maybe would be looking at Trofo for tips.

Salah and Haaland are both having a great fixture, and Haaland seem to be finding his goal scoring for back, I was hoping to bring a couple of Man City players, but after this game week their fixtures aren't looking so good. Hence, my restraint for going that way, Salah have been scoring quite a but lately too, but it doesn't feel like the vintage FPL Salah we all know and liked, quite a number of his goals came from a coincidental stand point, not that it matters though in as much as we get decent returns from him.

A lot of people are buying into the Eddie Nketiah project, it's looks like a good deal imo, especially if you got two transfers, a 4.5 FW option like Archer, you could just use the little upgrade for Nketiah by sacrificing a medium value midfielder like those with Pedro Neto.

I'm not buying Eddie Nketiah's hype! We all know how it will play out; the Arsenal engine duo (Sak and Ode) aren't in great form right now, and their fixtures don't look promising either. The team looked frail against West Ham and I'm not sure how they will survive Newcastle United if they keep playing like this.

Bar their fixture for this game week, Arsenal run of fixtures is one of the best there is to attack with 3 players from the team, only if they can find their attacking form, Gabriel Jesus is still going to be out for about a month, which gives Nketiah already the time in the world rack up some good returns with large play time assured for him, and mean while he cost just 5.7m, I was going to fancy my chances with Brighton's Evan Ferguson, due to Brighton good fixtures as well, but I'm quite short budget for him, so Nketiah might likely live up to his expectations, but I won't be throwing the chip in against Newcastle, their best fixtures are after this week. Maybe it will be Watkins, Nketiah, Haaland or Watkins, Ferguson, Haaland for my forward line, I'm not sure yet, I'll be paying a very close attention this week.

Manchester City is enjoying a terrific run of games, and I'm wondering why managers are letting go Foden- I can't find any info on him, and I was close to signing him, but I definitely don't want to have three Manchester City players.

Still, not having Haaland makes me more and more nervous every round. Still time to go until the deadline - but I'm deciding whether to wildcard or not for 2 weeks already.
Manchester's City fixture for this weekend will be a home game, the type that there will be many goals scored and Haaland and Alvarez will score.

This GW for me with Liverpool playing Luton makes me hurt more too for not having Mo' Salah. Salah will score in this game, It has become a normal these days to score in almost every game for Liverpool.

I'm captaining Salah again this weekend since it's a nice game for him to haul. I'm tempted to use my triple captain chip, but I still think DGW is the best moment. This week was the most tough for my captain pick because Halaand and Salah both have easy games.

I need to buy a new player in Richarlison's place. What do you think about Foden? Do you think that he would be a fitting player for my squad? Besides I can never be sure about how much time Guardiola will give him to play. The last gw was horrible for me. I must collect good amount of points on this gw.

Aston villa Diaby and Arsenal Saka is a good shot. They both have good runs of games. You can also get Douglas Luiz from Aston villa for a cheaper price.

Even still, I had to hit the wildcard and revamp my team with Haaland out to save me enough bankroll and brought in some new guys. Hope this doesn’t become my GW11 mistake though but, I rather not bag my points on a single bang of money. A good measure from Salah and Son could go a long way too.

Haaland proved to be one mistake I made from GW10 where I had to give his captain band to Bowen and that proved to have been a huge mistake as Bowen doubled on just 2 points while Haaland, got 2 goals and an assist to earn him 16points that could have easily been 32 points for a captain.

I hope to see that proven by GW11 and Salah has got the captain’s band for the week.
