There is a situation with a lot of injuries and suspended players in my squad right now. I'm thinking of using wildcard really seriously. However I can't make a decision yet as it is early. I will be continuing to follow Saka and Maddison's condition.

I wouldn't take any Luton players this week, just in case they get smashed x2  Grin

Not recommended but if you have one on your bench, you must use him. They play better football than Burnley, and I believe they will keep a clean sheet in either of those games.

From 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 after Maddison's injury.

Would it not be better to go for a forward or a midfielder in this case If you have a bench player to spare? I mean except for a case of injury there are players in the midfield or forward that would like play both 90 minutes. That's a minimum of 4 points, without other things like clean sheet (for midfield) and assist considered.

Sent out Martinez for Sergio Reguilón, he is one of Manchester United's best defenders right now to me.

Bad luck?

Now he (Reguilon) is injured until the end of the next international break.

Interesting to see how many players are injured or in doubt for participation in this week's games. I have Saka and Botman injured. Martineli already injured but among my substitutes. Substituting a player (injured or not) for another player only for the newly transferred player to get injured, perform poorly or get a red card.

My patience for Sterling and Rashford wearing thin.

P.S. Nobody took DGW Burnley/Luton? Haha

I did, but I chose not to be aggressive on their DGW because, neither team looks very rewarding and Burnley playing against Newcastle first also leave an impression of a not so worthy game week to be taking points hit, WC or even using your both transfers if you have two.

What Maddison injury? He just had a knock and he is already back in normal training as per last reports I have seen. Fully expect both him and Son to start, both were slight doubts. Same goes for Newcastle players, all should be fine except Barnes who is out for long time.

Saka is tougher one and I think he will miss this GW.

Activated the wildcard, but it is quite difficult to make space for all players I want. And I don't mean money so much as actual playing spots in the squad. Don't want benching headache going forward and my first draft had a bench of Areola, Burn, Darwin & Estupinan. Now I dropped Darwin for 4.3 just so I can field more money in first 11.

I have a feeling Burnley will just unleash on Luton this week, but we'll see.

I did like my 3-5-2 setup as I don't really like zouma in the backfield, but putting in Romero vs Liverpool isn't really an option either, lol.

3-5-2 is the best set up but I was forced to change since there was no replacement for Maddison on my bench.

Onana and Areola was a tough decision but after looking at it carefully I went with Areola against Sheffield united. Zouma is more of a better option than Romero imo. Westham will keep Sheffield blank this weekend.

I'm not trading either of them away, btw, but just wanted to know what to expect in terms of playtime this GW. I appreciate all the input Smiley

Nice you asked those questions, I have both Saka and Madds in my team, will likely bench rather than throw out as I expect a quick recovery. Funnily enough, Wilson's been on mine since day 1 and I keep thinking it's actually no longer necessary to throw him out.

At this point though, I'm stuck for ideas. Triple Nunez vs Spurs or wait patiently for dgw?

P.S. Nobody took DGW Burnley/Luton? Haha

Would rather TC Salah than Nunez whose minutes isn't guaranteed. But wait patiently for an easy draw not necessarily a DGW. Spur will win Liverpool this weekend and there is no two way about it.

I have Kabore for Luton DGW, he's been on my bench since GW 1 for a day like this.

What is a situation with March, he is not playing lately for Brighton, not heard that he is injured, and agree that they have success without him, but he played well before that

will not put him out, but there could be a price swing down, due to not playing

Saka, Botman and Isak all marked as questionable, there is a chance to see them on the pitch

Does anyone have status on the following players for this matchweek:

Isak
Saka
Maddison

Thank you.
Isak - Newcastle United face their most important match of the CL group against PSG next week, and Isak will likely lead the attack, thus he will likely play less or no minutes this weekend to cool off. Wilson will get things started.

Saka- He was sighted at the gym today; his injury does not appear to be serious, so he should get some playing time.
I have both Isak and Saka on my team. I am thinking of bringing in Alvarez as the replacement for Isak. He has not really given me points as I expected.

For Saka, I think that even if he gets to play this GW, it will just be some few minutes against Bournemouth, he will not start the game, and may come in as substitute if there is a need to influence the game in Arsenals favor. But if Arsenal is winning, Arteta will most likely rest him. I am not transferring him out, he does not stay injured for long, and can return to playing form once he returns.

For Jackson, I have replaced the brother with Awoniyi, I see Awoniyi as a player that will be able to do well and score goals in the next couple of games for Nottingham forest if he does not get injured.

Sent out Martinez for Sergio Reguilón, he is one of Manchester United's best defenders right now to me.

Ramsdale will most likely start this weekend, so I will keep him for a while longer.

Maddison - He hasn't had a scan on his knee yet, and he'll most likely receive one tomorrow or next, but his injury situation is unclear for the time being, and I don't expect him to be pushed back into the lineup. To be safe, I'd do Maddison to Son.

Isak couldn’t finish the game against Man City in the Carabao Cup, he was substituted off the game after just an hour into the game, If Isak were to be fit, I think he’d playing this weekend because the UCL game vs PSG would be played in England, so there is no point having him sit that one out, especially because he’s not being very sharp and would need more minutes to find his best form again, however, he likely could have a limited playing time, though.

On Maddison, I think he’ll not be available for the weekend but I wouldn’t do Maddison for Son, If I had him, it doesn’t look like a worthy risk reason being Tottenham would be playing against Liverpool, and without Maddison, I don’t think Son will be very efficient, I’d rather keep the transfer for next game week, or go for fixture with better alternatives like Arsenal playing Bournemouth, West Ham facing Sheffield United and Man United hosting Crystal Palace, these are fixtures that would have better alternatives for Maddison rather than Son, imo.

It looks very nasty, and many players have been sent off for far less than that. Even with an appeal, Chelsea will still not get the red card to be rescinded.

Pochettino has to face reality, be pragmatic and select the best alternatives for Chelsea's visit to Craven Cottage. No Gusto, No Jackson, No Chilwell!

Chelsea are already in a bad position on the table in number 14. If they lose this game, they will find themselves closer to the bottom.

I was hoping the club will appeal Gusto's red card but they didn't. Shit.

Even if they did, there was no way that decision would have been rescinded, it was a straight red card, and it was a worthy one so surely that one is going to stand, the best thing that could happen is not getting additional match ban and he didn't.

Nope! Watch the situation again, he got to the ball first before the Aston Villa LB collided with him and he went with only one foot. If it were Klopp, he would be all over the club to appeal that judgement. Our management is a joke.

The distance between when he got the ball and how distant the Aston Villa player was when he saw the leg and collided with him was obvious. Seria and Laliga A ref won't give a damn. This is a yellow card offence.

The red card was review, from the picture you posted, it only suggested that it wasn't a premediated foul, and it wasn't intentional, but sometimes it's actually not the intentions that counts it's whether or not it was a foul that could have led to a serious injury, and yes that was the case here because the follow through after Gusto had apparently touched the was a one, and it's literally underneath of his both that caught the players ankle which makes it a red card offense, the referee was in perfect position and issued a yellow card, which I also agree with at first, after the replay, there was no escaping that red card, intentional or not really doesn't matter in this case, and below is the final contact on the follow through, just a glance at this picture makes it an easy decision, even if the follow through couldn't have sighted from the first instance.
