Meh.
Welp! Great week I thought, getting 80 points (my highest so far). Checking our league only to see that I dropped a spot in the rankings, lol.

Took -12 hits to have a dream team! What's stopping this team from 80 points this weekend?

I had to trip back to look at this again and now I think I have the answers,
Douglas Luiz, Marcus Rashford, J. Rashford and Raheem Sterling. They all did justice to your wet dreams 80 points, lol!

Shared in your faith with J. Alvarez and I can’t stop looking at Rodri with a bombastic side eye.

You know, I sort of took you up in what you said about Isak. Well, it was almost true that he was to catch the bench for the entire game but, since Sheffield United was sharing goals today, it was only right for the striker to come in and make one count for him. Some plus on the bench!

Speaking of which, A. Ramsdale did zero out on my team and so was my second choice goalkeeper yet, I’ve got Isak and Tarkowski on the bench with some good points. Do I expect either of them to count in place as it’s done with other positions on the team or the choices for goalkeepers are left with goalkeepers. I really do need that 14 points for catch ups.

Ohhh the cherry on the top, Almiron scoring when i change him for Rodri (-2), also i change a few rounds ago Burn, because Newcastle was showing nothing good in Premier League after the first win. So this round its gonna be very bulk for those who ahve the Newcastle players. For me, long trip to the bottom.

And rashford...... im starting to lose my patience.

This fantasy will drive me insane, I swear.
I'm always 1 move behind, Gusto should have been out of my team already. He ruined a really good week, and will cause me another headache - his red card (and the return of James) means that he needs to go this week.

Can anyone tell me where to see points won across all league for a specific GW? I see only overall and per month.
Gusto is never a must sell, at least for me. He is cheap enough to be bench fodder and no way James stays healthy whole season. There is a lot of pages where you can see points in specific gameweek, I am using fplgameweek.com

While we are on topic of points in specific gameweek. Congrats to goodpunt, this week free bet winner. he absolutely smashed it with 107 points this week. Late points from Botman and Trippier came very handy.

I wanted to go for Son, but my friend who really follows football and knows what he's talking about told me that he thinks Rashford will be in top 3 league's goalscorers.
Therefore I chose him instead of Son - but to be honest neither one of them is worth 9 points. The problem is that Son at least got the price upgrade, while Rashford went the other way.
Rashford only found his way into my team because of the health challenge on Bowen. Saw that he was will and Rashford felt like the next best option but, I was surprised Bowen actually featured for the West Ham United game and even got more points than i can say for Rashford.
Son was on the list of options but, mixed feelings and price difference didn’t let me make the pick.

Nobody rates Rashford except the English media. I remember him scoring 30 goals last season and the media comparing him to Mbappe, and then he started ghosting in games for months.
One word on the ratings, ‘England’. Like I can’t even imagine how they would come to that comparison. On how one man can and that’s Mbappe could carry a whole country (France and PSG) and the weight doesn’t seem too weighty for him and you compare that individual with Rashford!

Rashford's selfish behaviour in the 18 yard box makes it difficult for him to have a clear chance for goal, always trying to run in-between tight spaces instead of playing with his teammates. I'm keeping close tap on him.
I don’t blame him for that, he’s been top dog for his team through last season and it’s only natural to have him have much expectations on himself, trying to repeat the same thing this season but, at the expense of his team not making there chances count.

This is my first FPL attempt and while it hasn't been smooth, I'm enjoying the experience so far. As for Rashford, my patience for him is wearing thin with each passing gw that he ends up blanking. I'm beginning to think that my selection of Rashford wasn't objective but biased. I don't know, maybe because he didn't really well last season.
I made many selections that were not objective too, and I am paying the price for those decisions. It has been a much better week for me for some of my players like Mitoma, Saka, Fernandes...but for Jackson, this was his last week in my team, I have given him all the chance he can get.

Many injuries this season, affecting different players in different clubs. Rice was subbed off, I hope it is not another serious injury that will make him not be able to play against Manchester City. Trossard failed to make the lineup, a mild discomfort as described by Arteta so maybe he will be in the line up for our next game if Martinelli has not returned as well.

I made a terrible mistake to start Chilwell over my second sub Digne because I saw Digne play 90+ minutes in the Europa League and wrongly assumed that he was going to be benched.

Now I just have to hope that Aston Villa tank Chelsea with a lot of goals at home so that Poch never subs Chilwell in.

Already sold him btw.

I have overlooked his underperformance even though it warrants a transfer but I don't want a situation where I sell off Rashford and then he picks form again and his price tag goes up.

It was a bad decision to keep him, United has a few easy games left - I hope he does something at least before I replace him.

God damn, Rashford is useless. Replaced in 59th minute, he's one of the worst picks of the season.
I already had him replaced in my mind by Pedro Neto, 3,5 points difference (and he scored today), but then Rico Henry tore his ACL and I replaced him instead.

I always felt fantasy is luck-based, but now I see how strategic it is and how costly 1 mistake can be. I am starting to really like it a lot, and I'll for sure be better next year - I'm still all over the place.

I got rid of the wrong midfielder, and now I'm kicking myself for selling Bruno instead of Rashford. The entire United squad is terrible, but starting Onana ahead of Areola in my team was a wise decision.

27 points. 7 players yet to play.

"Perfect" FPL day, everybody brings in Alvarez he gets one pointer. Now it is time for Jackson to haul. My transfers Edouard, Botman and Mbuemo also look like total miss. Botman is probably even injured and that also means Chilwell will haul tomorrow.
He’s been on my team for a while now but, it’s really disappoint what how Rodri got to mess the whole game plan up today. I was already expecting an over 4.5 goals in this game judging from the way it started, with Foden and the early goal, E. Haaland did good to extend the lead and Nottingham Forest playing like scared little girls but, just seconds into the second half, Rodri thought it was wise to over react and caught a straight red! Like, it was an out of the blue reaction and just like that, the whole game was messed up, Manchester City came under pressure, Pep had to sort for a more defensive approach and there was my dear Alvarez having yo pay the price on the bench.
Rodri did this one today!

hope to see Botman on the bench tomorrow
have Jensen and Tarkowski on my bench, and hope to see two players from my line-up on bench, Botman is first pick, Gusto second pick
I so much don’t wish to see Lamptey on the pitch for Brighton tomorrow. Just how did I get to get Tarkowski off the pitch to the bench and brought Lamptey in at the least minute! Like, how am I doing this to 11 points that could have easily gone to the bag.
Lamptey better does something more or close tomorrow or better still, catches the bench and zero out.

Foden, Alvarez and Halaand Starts!! Time for trofo to feast. Who else has the 3 attackers.
Alvarez won't be getting a goal this afternoon with Rodri out & tempers high, but fingers crossed...

Ah! What happened? Now Pep will have to sacrifice one attacker for a defender or one DM so it's either Alvarez or Doku getting the hammer.

CLS63 almost got him. Lol

I guess that I jinxed Rodri. Thankfully I'm lucky for not adding him to my squad yet. I'm thinking of another midfielder who I can replace with Rodri now. I have sold Bruno Fernandes and he scored 1 goal in the first half already today. To save my week Rashford needs to score at least one goal.  Cry

I haven't yet downgraded my backline, but it's the best spot for anyone trying to improve any part of the offensive line. I have no hope of Onana and Areola keeping a clean sheet, but GK is the least important position to focus on right now. It's even better to have a backup GK at £3.0m and upgrade the offence with the move.

Areola is one of the best FPL goalkeepers because he makes up for his lack of clean sheets with lots of saves. He even saved a penalty once.

Only Leno is better IMO
There isn't a Gk in game that started with price lower then 4.0. Otherwise everybody would have him.

I was only talking about getting a low-value GK at this stage and strengthening the attack instead, because none of these GKs can keep clean sheets for three games in a row. ( things could change soon though). The cheapest GK is Everton second choice at £3.9m

With only three players on the pitch today, I already have 15 points from Halaand and Alvarez (Lol), and I'm waiting for Onana clean sheets.

And you get that for just 4m, I think I'd rate Areola over Leno, that's a personal choice though...

No doubt - just bad fixtures at the moment,.I'm keeping him for long.

Quite a silent day and trouble in paradise for the expectation that was required of Brentford, you'd expect an easy day in the office for Mbuemo and Yoane Wissa, or at least them keeping it tidy defensively, but rather it was a cold day in hell for them.

Great. I took off Leno for Onana for this game week because I felt he was going to concede against Palace but man kept a clean sheet and extra bonus points for >3 saves. I hope Onana can repay me with a cleansheet against Burnley otherwise - > bench till further notice. I hope UCL mistakes is enough to make him learn and impress fans today.
