Harkorede - If Pep is attempting to create and transfer Gvardiol to the LB position, then implies Stones and Dias/Akanji will play at the CB. My major issue is Stone's fitness; if he stays fit, I believe he will play more games than Gvardiol.

Stones could have prevented that Seville goal you know? He's very good in the air.

Yeah, I think it's just for the time being, just to help grow some confidence before slotting right into the center of the defense because a lot of pass decision making will be required of him, and he can't afford to lose his confidence just before he gets the chance to prove he's world class.

Good luck to him. He has Lewis, Aker and Akanji to contest with at that position. Lewis is the only natural LB among them this season.

Jawbreaker, Joao Pedro starts from the bench and Welbeck leads the attack for Brighton, now a lot of think to do for managers like me begin with potential Wissa and Mbuemo switch along the line, it's too early ffs  Huh

Not surprised about Perdro he missed so many scoring opportunities last match. There is Ferguson and Wellbech as option trust me there is going to be a heavy rotation in that position. Only Mitoma and Estu position are secured. Watkins time to deliver!!!

@NotATether- Onana with another clean sheets. Watch out.

Spurs are playing high scoring Agneball, they are not like previous managers. Lots of goals but no clean sheets for both sides. That's why I benched Onana.

Or course, it is also a risk to play Leno against Brentford that has Wissa and penalty-taking Mbeumo, but the risk is lower than with United's match.

My second choice GK is Westham Areola, who will almost certainly concede three goals against Chelsea, and my other option is Onana, so there was simply nothing I could do and no GK is worth a -4 hit at the time. I'm just praying the United-Tottenham game ends in another 1-0 or 0-0 draw.
I know both teams are unstable at the back but the unexpected could happen.

Hhampuz seems like you're going to win our side bet although I expect Gvardiol injury episodes to start soon too. ( not wishing him bad but both are injury prone players)

The thing is with Guardiola his rotation policy are very and reduces the chances of injury even to injury prone players, I remember what almost every sport analyst had to say about Haaland's injury worries when he was signed last season, but Guardiola the rotation policy helped him as many matches as possible without taking unprecedented risks.

I really don't think Gvardiol would miss out on so many matches and Guardiola having him play at left back for now in my opinion means he's trying to work on his ball playing skills so in no time, you can expect a new defense general  Wink

I want penalty for Spurs to see who is their no.1 penalty taker and it will also help with my both to score bet.

Son ahead of Maddison easily.

This GW should be my worst in first 5 weeks of the game so this is your opportunity to catch up with me Smiley As long as Salah doesn't outscore Haaland by a lot I will be happy with my GW result, Mbuemo blank would do nicely as well.

The GW is really difficult. I glanced at the team and realised there was nothing I could do; the Stones situation had destroyed every aspect of my game plan. The medical team must have been insane to rush him back to training now that he'll be missing for a couple more games. Halaand, on the other hand, could get less than 60 minutes against Newcastle due to the choppy schedule, thus I made Watkins my captain above Halaand and Saka.

Salah is the best Cap choice this GW, but I don't have him and can only pray he blanks.

What happened to that reliable source that puts J. Stones in missing just the Supercup with Sevilla again?
That source was correct at the time that was shared. Stones got injured in training after Sevilla match.

If Stones and Gabriel are fit to play I'm gonna roll my FT.

My man, did you not hear the news? Stones injured his hammy in training and now he's down to 5.4m.

But I guess it makes no sense to make a second transfer right now with GW2 deadline tonight.
Yeah, I got the news, and there was nothing I could do but replace him with Cash from my bench since I expect Aston Villa to keep a clean sheet against Everton. The mini blank week didn't affect me either.

Gambling fvcks you good when you least expect and oh! That reminds me, Hhampuz is on this! Hhampuz, what did you do... Well, itskmegjjnh that could ha e happened anyways, having his injri3s grow into something serious if he wasn't careful and he wasn't.

I couldn't care any less if Aston Villa keeps a clean sheet which I doubt they could. They both lost there first game and, I would be expecting a tough game between them still, it could come with a result like we had in Nottingham Forest 2:1 Sheffield United.

No clean sheet man, LOL... Grin

That's a win for those who don't have him, I actually expect him to rally a lot of points when Nottingham start playing mid tier table and he gets the save points that's expected of him.

Awoniyi scores again in his second game and first start in this season. Good points for whoever has him on their team. He is an efficient player for Forest with the ability to score in every game he plays for them. The big hopes for him is that he does not get injured.

He's their talisman, with 11 goals + assists last season in 27 appearance, he's sure going to get into my team when I'm sure about he's secured spot and or during blank or DGWs, there are just better 6.5m alternatives right now with better team structure, imo.

Only 1 transfer this week and I took the opportunity to replace KDB for Mbeumo. Whether Mitoma is a better deal, I'm not sure yet. Funny thing is, I have Trippier and Burn in Newcastle and they're playing against City tomorrow with Haaland who is my captain for GW2. I don't know whether to support Newcastle defense to keep a clean sheet or be happy if Haaland gets to score.

As one of the newest managers, I didn't see this pitfall. I will learn from it.

In all honesty, Haaland will have a difficult time facing Newcastle's defence without De Bruyne. Haaland will probably have trouble catching passes from his teammates. Perhaps Foden will possess the ball and score. Maddison was my choice for captain of my team because of this. If Haaland doesn't score or get an assist tomorrow, I'll switch him out for wissa in my starting lineup.

I'm not too concerned about Salah. He always turns up. TAA clean sheets is still a penalty worth taking I think. 3rd best defender returns last season, even with such a bad performance. He has to improve, no?

My problem is that there is going to be distinct improvement to Liverpool's midfield and that could have TAA play a bit more towards the flank, he's good with those cross-field passes and he'll likely link better now with Salah moving a bit inward rather than the extreme right flank.

But paying 8m for him, while I'd expect 20-30 points difference from a good choice 5m defender for instance, the extra 3m can help get a MD player Martinelli over Enzo, or Saka instead of Rodri.

So for now, I'll take a 3rd defender like Estupinian (5m) and either of Saka or Martinelli, than TAA and midfielder like Enzo or Rodri.

With how the season has started already I doubt if anyone in Brighton would ever outperform mitoma this season and that includes March, the play two different roles but mitoma plays his role better than March or anyone, I won't be surprised if a bigger team picks him up in the next transfer market window.

Yeah, that's the consensus of majority of people, even at Brighton, I know March is a gamble. Mitoma? I'm actually surprised no one picked him up before already...

As for TAA, as much as I'd love to see him play in the midfield,I'm not sure he would be given that option especially now that Gakpo is being used in the midfield, Jota and Nunez are fit and also Luiz diaz is best fitted on the left side. That said, there's no vacancy right now– I even hear we have Endo coming into the midfield. So until a critical midfield asset like Mac or Szobo gets injured, I doubt he would be given that chance.

Gakpo's always been experimental, I a, surprised Klopp thinks that's the best out of him -- but it's not like he can displace Diaz or Salah so just the false 9 when Darwin isn't playing his only forward when not midfield. Endo 100% is new Fabinho though but I still think TAA will get midfield time in-game, formation switch midway. Like I said, if so, I get a packed midfield, if not, I still like his return.

If Liverpool's defense is still as shitty as this, I don't think I'll ever think of owning TAA, I'm expecting goals from him, but a couple of attacking returns yeah, mostly assists, but if the basic expectation of a clean sheet is out of play, I'm never getting a 8m defender, I'd rather use 3 at the back and go all out on a second or third premium midfield/forward where I don't get deducted points for goals conceded, hopefully the acquisition of Endo would make it a more stable system, but as for now, all I can foresee is a timebomb squad especially after Mo Salah reaction in the last fixture despite being nothing but missing in the majority of the second half before being substituted out.

I'm not too concerned about Salah. He always turns up. TAA clean sheets is still a penalty worth taking I think. 3rd best defender returns last season, even with such a bad performance. He has to improve, no?

Yes i noted the Luton game was postponed, but like you said i think not so much people really cares about it.

thought about this, it wasn't even mentioned in FPL newsletter, that is probably due to number of players having any player in their team from that duel, it is close to zero, except for some Luton/Burnley fans

regarding Salah, I don't have him in team, so no captaining this time, but I am also not sure that Liverpool will eat up Bournemouth as last season, not even thinking about strength, it is just statistic wise not usual
of course, it could happen

What happen in this thread? really quiet righ now, just before the start of this round, what its this smell? Ahhhh right fear, fear of my comeback i guess...

It's supposed to just as quite, I'm not sure any cares about the fixture for tonight either, except those who've got Matt Turner as their Goalkeeper, or brought him in if their first choice GK is having a tougher fixture than Sheffield Utd playing Nottingham.

If there is anything I'm actually curious about right in the pool, that would be the captain choices for this week in the pool, I'm expecting variety of choices.

I'm just going to drop mine, I captain Mo Salah, I don't think there is anyway Liverpool would repeat a 9-0 win over Bournemouth without Mo Salah being responsible for less than a hattrick and a couple of assists  Grin meanwhile someone should wake me up when I'm being credited with the just 4 points for my captain choice Cheesy
