Sterling is best pick for short term, let's say next 4 games. Maddison is best pick for longer term 8+ game weeks. I am super happy to have Maddison and I am hoping he will stay in my team at least until wildcard. Will not jump on Sterling bandwagon since I already have Jackson, Chilwell and Gusto and not feeling like breaking team apart for player that trolled me so many times. But once more, Sterling is a steal at this prices, he is 10M+ player and only terrible season last year from Chelsea gave us this discount.

I was about to ask you why spent money for 3 Chelsea players but just found out that your position is soooo higher than me on the table. Damn you are great in this game.

Well you really need to be into this competition to make a good performance, i see you with a lot of points and i with very little ones asides of having a "good" team.

I climb another position.... 29º now, keep climbing.... the only issue its the gap with the upper part its bigger and bigger. I need a triple captain well picked to cut all that shit.

Btw, looking at the higher price of Maddison,  this tells the full story as his involved in most attacks of his club , which makes him more likely and easily to score points than Raheem Sterling... but here Raheem looks like a good catch to free up some funds Smiley

It's tough to find a midfielder with consistent performance but with so-so price. I just sold Saka for Maddison, hope he brings much more points. Also Arsenal will face Man United this weekend, so I couldn't expect much on Saka lol. In the other hand Spurs will play Burnley, the chance for Maddison will bigger I suppose. Sterling isn't a wise choice imo, though I might consider to get him in some week if I find no one to be my free transfer and in the same time Chelsea meet weak opponent.

You did better than a lot of people for GW3. My points for GW3 was below the average so you actually did well. Why did you captain Nunez when you know that he's currently getting less minutes in the current Liverpool squad? That's a very bold move and risk that paid off nicely.

Maybe the fact that he's no longer on the starting line up has given Nunez time to reflect that if he doesn't start churning out top-tier performances and scoring goals equals less game time.

Nunez + Salah were used heavily to great success in preseason so I honestly thought he'd start -- I guess it eventually will happen so I paid the price for 2 weeks but hope he gets his chance. I'm also rather "uneducated" about other team setups and can only understand more as the season progresses -- I only learnt about Mitrovic and Jimenez switches when watching the games!

Nunez still had the highest xG shots last season and if you watch, he is an absolute joy that loves attempting. Haaland's difference was great providers and better finishing but I'm adamant Nunez breaks mould this season.

Maddisson also my early season pick to do well, so he stays in my team. I still need a couple more GWs to clear out the mess of my autopick, but I'm ok =)

I picked up sterling as my free transfer for the current GW but I'm beginning to have second thoughts due to your conversation with CLS63. Chelsea's next 5 fixtures should be easy enough for them and Sterling would feature in all of them if he doesn't pickup any injuries. For someone like Sterling that has been heavily criticized, I feel he would want to keep up that form for much longer.

Maddison is looking real promising for me now given the points he earns weekly is above average.

Is there anyone who has transferred Sterling to their squad? He is a player who has always problems on finishing. He showed a good performance against Luton and carried me to top last week. He has a potential to collect points for a few more weeks because of Chelsea's fixture advantage. However the idea of making a safer choice like Maddison in his place isn't bad at all.

Sterling did have a good game in game week three but the only problem I see in him ever since he moved to Chelsea is inconsistency to perform!! But I see no reason why he shouldn't be given an opportunity to prove himself once again that his the real deal, otherwise great fixtures ahead for his team Roll Eyes

Anyway, is there a way to keep me logged in to my account? Its getting pretty annoying that the site log me out every week or so. Im not sure about this but the log out getting pretty intense since the 3-4 months before the previous season ended
Don't know why that is happening to you. I need to log couple of times per season, not sure when it happens and why but it is so rare that I never know my password.

This happens quite often to me though so I thought there should be a setting of keeping me logged in to the site but I cant seems to find it

I believe that is something due to your setup. Any new antivirus, trojan remover or VPN software installed when that started? Or maybe private browsing? Seems to me you installed something that removes cookies/temp files from your machine and in process makes you login that often.

Not that I know off and pretty sure that I didnt do anything weird since last season and Im not using private window to browse the fantasy site. Even so if there is such a thing then all the other site would have been affected as well including superbru and all these gambling site that I frequently visited but most of them kept me logged in. Pretty weird huh

I look at my measly 52 points and take small consolation that it was slightly higher than the 44 average. Kind of bummed my Nunez captain as well as Bowen still couldn't offset the crap City players brought (not to mention Brighton bomb).

I did also have a big transfer penalty (-12) to push out injured players so at least I have a somewhat clean slate. Ready for another Nunez captaincy anyone?

He would most likely start on Sunday vs Villa but I think it's still too early to decide whether or not I need to have him on my team. So Haaland remains my captain for now.

Planning to do that to replace some unappetizing players I think I'll also get a transfer penalty for the first time but this is still under consideration - I plan to take out Enzo who has no use in my team.    Angry

The plan is to take Nunez out as he's playing a few minutes but after yesterday's two goals I'm not sure Klop will start Nunez.

C - Haaland.

I'm thinking of kneejerking Bowen as captain next week against Luton.
Yeah, Bowen can go. His being phenomenal for his team through last the course of last season and you could tell his got his belly fired up for this season as well. If you ain’t hoping on Halaand to score a brace or a hat-trick, it wouldn’t make a lot of difference having K. Bowen as your captain in contrast to E. Halaand. Besides, we can all tell E. Halaand is having a lot of struggles getting the balls at the moment, to a point he even missed a penalty, that’s how it’s the game is played on his subconsciousness and the many defense line mounted on him. Though it might help the team like Harkorede stated but, the team isn’t what we are after in FPL is it? No.

Bowen still a good choice but, can’t say if his the best choice. Either ways, both remains promising.
Bowen is a class player but I am not sure if I trust this West Ham side so much. Luton is perfect fixture to target for attacking points but West Ham hasn't actually created anything in games they won. They counter attacked and used spaces in opponents defenses brilliantly. Luton will not give them that spaces and we could see a whole different game. I can't call if West Ham will demolish them or have problems breaking trough organized defense. Not enough data at this point.

I don't have Sterling or Jackson (and Jackson's more or less like Bowen anyway) so it may not be the best choice, but it's the best choice among my squad. Smiley

Bowen is good to have this season, I had him, and changed for Hojbjerg in a bad moment before first round
he was in my team last season, and proved to be worth it, and expect better from him this season

nevertheless, since strat was far from expected, will have to put more effort in finding perfect combination

Why? E. Halaand against Fulham this weekend is a good captaincy choice. The second option I could think of is Sterling/Jackson against Nottingham Forest.

Somehow it was also supposed to be his week against Sheffield United too, but if it wasn't for his clutch goal, then it would've been his bad day.

Whereas West Ham demolished Chelsea and Brighton with a 3-1 scoreline (Bowen had goal involvements in both matches), so it is not inconceivable for him to haul against Luton.

I'm shocked that his price has not gone up actually.

Players who are eligible for the Ballon d'or to me are players who can carry the whole team when there is a need for it especially in crucial games, not just players who are just the finishers to creative opportunities created by other players of which Manchester City is blessed with.

Man City have have had all these creative players for long, but it's has never brought them the UCL trophy and Haaland might look isolated in some games, perhaps big ones too, but if you look at it from a logical perspective he's being watched and marked by 2 to 3 players, and that makes the job easier for his teams mates to find others when he's being the target man, but when he's in position to deliver he does exactly what's expected of him, and the number of times he's on defensive duty during set pieces too should not to be taken for granted.

What do you consider as crucial games, because Haaland scored 5 goals in 7 appearance against the "big six" of the premier league last season, and his team won 4 of those games, he didn't score in two games which was one against Chelsea and another against Liverpool.

In the UCL, of Haaland's 12 goals 7 of them came after the group stages, because he didn't in certain games doesn't mean he played way below average, it was more of the coach's decision to get conservation in a number of those games. I don't think it was just an ordinary coincidence that allowed Man City win the UCL after the arrival of Haaland.

Yeah, he performed amazing last year with his match point goals, and he deserves all of the personal awards he received in the league, but if I'm not mistaken, the Ballon d'or power rankings are determined based on club and country performance, and here is where Messi and Mbappe beat over Halaand in the list. Not to mention that Halaand ghosted in every major match and cup final for Manchester City last season.

He's still young, and his time will come, but I don't believe he deserves the Ballon d'Or this year. Rodri deserves to be higher up than Halaand, but people no longer watch football because they are more interested in the goal scorer than the creators.
I think European achievements play a very big role, and this is where I see a city player bagging it, especially for the fact that they made history for Manchester City in UCL. Haaland putting the EPL top scorer record to shreds with ease after so many years.

But of course it's going to be about popularity, publicity as usual, and they will just hand it over to Messi because of the world cup because club wise, Mbappé edged him.
