I am sure this pool will help convert some more people Fantasy is a hell of fun and once you're hooked, there's no going back. This will be my 7th season and it just keeps getting better.

Smiley is looking forward to fighting you
Just an idea... you can join the pool (hope others don't mind). At the end of the season, I will simply add to your current points the same number of points as the last player in the pool has earned (I'm talking about active members, so we are talking about 1100 points). In fact, the difference between first place and your position will be about 300 points, which you can reduce the difference using chips.

Yeah, I'm on more than 20 points, and that's because I forgot all about transferring out Almiron (10 points) and my insistence to hold on to Toney one last game (9 points) haha.

it is good to miss the deadline, I benched Almiron, and he scored, it is what it is
and I transferred Shaw out for Akanji, Pep is probably smiling from his position at me (didn't think it through, planned to bench Shaw and transfer one player from my bench, but eventually did it a stupid way, didn't affect this round, but will future rounds)

so far, my biggest mistake was in first round, when I put all most inexpensive players on my bench, to secure better first team, but figured out during season that bench is also important, and all 15 players should be starters from first round, it increase team value with time, and doesn't cost much in beginning

Right now, none of the Manchester City defenders are worth keeping because none of the players you mentioned are guaranteed to play both games.

I'm quite sure Nathan Ake would play both games unless he's out injured,

Did not age well Smiley Pep strikes again, this time in defensive positions. At this point I think he has officially lost his mind. Playing with 3 at the back without any of his most nailed defenders. Everybody was talking about Akanji/Ake/Lewis and he left them all at the bench. He must be playing FPL and laughing at us no other way.

I am now watching the game and Silva is usually starting from back line. Mahrez and Grealish playing almost full backs.... What is worst they are leading 2:0 and it will end well for them.
I've said it before, Pep is out of line, and he'll likely lose many players this summer; the last time I had a Man City defender was in GW 17, they're not worth it. Pep is either an FPL player or an anti-FPL. I'm sick of seeing KBD sit on a huge budget with little to offer at the moment; I'll make a final decision on him after the Arsenal game.

Mahrez is always one of DGW's lucky charms, and I'm glad I have him on my team; I expect another masterclass from him in the next game, and I'm hoping KDB can pull off a worldie to give me an advantage.

What a week so far. Anybody with more than 20 points? If you are your team is probably actually quite bad and you got lucky  Tongue

I just hope Manchester clubs come to my rescue now and probably only player that can actually help my rank is Fernandez. All other players that I have from these 2 clubs are  owned by almost everybody since they are Haaland, Mahrez and Rashford. Even left Shaw on bench for Botman, looks stupid so far.

Really got screwed yesterday with Newcastle conceding since I had double defense and Arsenal not winning since I had them on all my tickets.

Yeah, I'm on more than 20 points, and that's because I forgot all about transferring out Almiron (10 points) and my insistence to hold on to Toney one last game (9 points) haha. Saka even got 6 points and there's still City to play, so who knows? So yes, my team is actually quite bad hah.

Rashford being Rashford, he's just himself a goal so that's a nice padding for the most dependable player in RPL at the moment. So we got hopes also for Haaland (already an assist). Shaw got an assist, oops (Botman on my bench actually!).

And yes, I'm one of the Ake fools...

104 from 115 in SB league, am I the most improved player? haha

Even left Shaw on bench for Botman, looks stupid so far.

I had Shaw on team until about few minutes before the deadline, and I brought Perisic in for him, what could have been worse, but at least, I didn't get any deficit from him.

I'm really tempted to call in my wildcard at this point, I might just do so as soon the next blank week over.

EDIT; what could be worse than Luke Shaw already sitting on 9 points and another potential 3 bonus point  Angry Angry Angry

And Guardiola's roulette is at it again, with both Nathan Ake and Akanji sitting on the bench, Dias and Laporte finally back into the fold.

I'm quite sure Nathan Ake would play both games unless he's out injured, he's probably Guardiola's favorite defender right now imo, or Kyle walker, the reason why they might not be worth having is that they might not provide any offensive return, and a clean sheet could be off the cards for Man City so they're simply aren't worth it, given they situation of things, I might switching to Riyad Mahrez very soon, he's also been getting decent minutes, and decent returns too.
For the double DGW, why did you pick Mitoma over Mahrez? I'm curious as to why you came to that conclusion. Even though I was tempted, I decided against going with Mitoma because I felt they would have trouble against Crystal Palace. Everyone's week has been messed up; this has never happened after seven games, and nobody has scored more than 30 points.

Now we hope the DGW will save us all.

What are your thoughts on Arsenal? 1 point from possible 6 so far! Saka and Ode looks overworked already.

I didn't pick Mitoma over Mahrez, I've got maximum of 3 Man City players since the resumption of the league, If recall correctly. The only way I could have gotten Mahrez in is to take 4 point hit to get Nathan Ake Out, and my bankroll still would not be enough, so I would have had to take another 4 points hit to get Kane out for a cheaper forward, and finally an extra 4 points hit to bringing in Mahrez and I strongly doubt it would worth be that much hassle/price to be paid at the end of the day game week.

What Do you guys think of the guy Mitoma ? The killer bean from Brighton.

he could be a good choice, but since they have Blank week in two weeks, with some other teams that I have picks from, I am not thinking about him at the moment
I already have trio from Arsenal, since restart, and they were solid, but far from great, now is their chance to shine

who to pick from City defense is a question now, Akanji or Ake, one will leave at HT with Villa, but only boldy knows answers on that question (not counting on CS with Arsenal)
You are right about Mitoma, that was some heads up I needed, I will set him aside for now

How many of these players do you have available for the upcoming DGW? Saliba, Martinelli, Nketiah Marez, KDB, and Haaland are the players I have. However, with everything going on at the club right now, I sincerely hope Pep doesn't awaken and ruin everyone's DGW with his terrible lineups. Mahrez has always been a crucial component for City DGW, and I sincerely hope that it continues.

Owners of White, I've got bad news for you: Tarkowski is back and was seen training in the first team kit with Saka and the rest, while White was seen in the reserve kit.

The only I have with Arsenal is knowing exactly who to pick, at the beginning of the season, it was Martinelli over Saka for most players after Gabriel Jesus, but later on Saka was the narrative until Odegaard began slowly and steady won a lot of peoples heart, so it's very tough to pick one, but it is going to be one in defense on the midfield and one forward until further notice.

Martinelli hasn't been himself since the second chance league, his been doing a lot of pressing but that's not what the FPL needs, with Traossard around the corner and with Jesus coming back into the team his likely going to lose his place in the team unless he starts picking up goals but right now I'm just keeping after this round. Saka or Ode is a must have for the DGW

City and Arsenal have home fixtures and derby, should be good to have 4-5 players from both teams in the team, maybe even 6 players total
Triple Arsenal is a must, they have a double and fixtures in both blank game weeks. They are also all reasonably secured and we know somebody will stay on bench only if he really need rest, not cause some bald guy had a bad morning and decided to screw FPL managers in effort to feel better  Grin

That being said, Gabriel Jesus is back in training, so my favorite Arsenal asset Nketiah has suddenly become a little less nailed. Should be still ok for next couple of GWs since it was serious injury.

I even foresee Arteta probably playing them together when the going gets tough as Nketiah have done just more than enough to win over any manager's heart.

I am saving my chip for last rounds, it could be helpful if position is tight
Problem is you can't use multiple chips on same GW.

learning day-by-day, it would be helpful for me to read the rules, but it is going solid so far without that
so basically, I can't use Free Hit and 3C in same game-week?

Yeah, you can only use a single chip per game week, that makes really tricky when hoarding these chips for the final few weeks or down the stretch, and the only issue with Haaland is that most times he doesn't need a double game week to provide a total just some 30 good minutes is enough for him to break all barriers so if it balls down to not using the triple captain this week or not get another a great double week, I just need to find a supposedly easy fixture to bank on and let lady luck decides its outcome.

Problem is you can't use multiple chips on same GW. Later on there are usually big double game weeks. Meaning half a league has two fixtures and that is usually the time to use bench boost or wildcard. Then you have the problem of top assets being saved. Just imagine City playing CL semi final and sitting comfortably second in the league. Is even Haaland rotation safe in situation like that? Also there is more injuries and fatigue to account for and there isn't many players worth spending triple captain on.

Another double game week come up again, this time for Arsenal and Man City, it still doesn't feel like the perfect game week for my triple captain chip, especially with how awful Man City have been, I might just save for the second upcoming double game week with Arsenal up against Everton and Leicester City teams that actually concede better number of goals.
I can't complain, every week with 100+ points is good week. Just shows how easy it is to gain rank on someone when things align, I was 100 points of 3rd place and now it is just 30.

Rashford triple captain was one of the easiest decisions this season, it is really hard to find player in form with great double game week that is nailed enough to play both full games. City does not have an easy double anywhere and Arsenal is spreading their goals all around front 4. I have no idea who I would choose from Arsenal, maybe Saka? But he can easily stay without goal in two consecutive fixtures while Rashford at home has incredible stats.

Yeah, so easy even I had to relent, thankfully.

89 points for me (because of my transfer penalty) but absolutely no complaints as I see that as a good haul, considering past performance.

City agree, I hardly put them in my team (Haaland is experimental and while he didn't work out, I put him right in when he last got the hattrick) except as a random "oh, he fits the budget", but no double candidates.

I'm always sticking with Saka, he's just too good whenever I watch him, I would even argue on a level consistently above Rashford, except in terms of end result (goal). Hard to explain watching them, but the points/goals don't care.
