Rashford triple captain was one of the easiest decisions this season, it is really hard to find player in form with great double game week that is nailed enough to play both full games.

congrats on that, it seemed so, I had only captaincy, but do not want to complain, could be better week, but it is good enough

~snip
Another double game week come up again, this time for Arsenal and Man City, it still doesn't feel like the perfect game week for my triple captain chip, especially with how awful Man City have been, I might just save for the second upcoming double game week with Arsenal up against Everton and Leicester City teams that actually concede better number of goals.

Arsenal has one more, and that one seems with easier fixtures, Everton and Leicester
but overall, it is hard to pick one player to shine from Arsenal, Rashford was easier choice for past gameweek

I am saving my chip for last rounds, it could be helpful if position is tight

Heeeey, Bamford assist for the first goal, I'll take that. Rashford with a goal? I'll take that too! Not that I should be celebrating my FPL performance but I could have done a lot worse (like Varane/Casemiro, phew!).

But Leeds is always so scary man, two injury subs in first half hour describes just how much you put on the line choosing Leeds players in your team, no?

Also. Don't know this Skubala guy, and I don't think we can credit/blame him for the team performance today but I found out he used to be boss of England futsal. So expect even more lineup madness and rotation with this guy, I think!

It was an awful week for me, I might just need to bring in my wildcard already, I need a complete overhaul.

Rashford 20 points and 60 for triple captain for most players have threw me of the radar for the game week, but I hope I can make up for the deficit in the coming weeks.

I can't complain, every week with 100+ points is good week. Just shows how easy it is to gain rank on someone when things align, I was 100 points of 3rd place and now it is just 30.

City does not have an easy double anywhere and Arsenal is spreading their goals all around front 4. I have no idea who I would choose from Arsenal, maybe Saka? But he can easily stay without goal in two consecutive fixtures while Rashford at home has incredible stats.

Pep has officially gone crazy, as I just wrote in pool topic, he starts with De Bruyne on bench and then brings him in for Mahrez. I get it you want to maybe send wake up call to De Bruyne who is really below par for his high standards but to remove Mahrez when you need a goal is crazy. By far the best City player after WC and best one to make a goal from nothing
Pep really got it all wrong this time. I sort of get an idea of the game he was trying to play though, to play some psychological game with the Spurs team but, Conte wasn't there due to health issues and left the job to his assistant, such an important game and Pep was supposed to capitalise on all that but, the game he was trying to play just turned out to be a said one. Trying to put Spurs in a space where they would try to figure out what trick his got under his sleeves and then, make KDB want the game more than anything, watch and figure out what the teams aren't doing so well and delivers it when eventually substituted but, taking Mahrez off was just not it.

Mahrez has been a power house for the team, his runs, his crosses and he gets to go for the goal when his seen an opening which makes him vital to play a 90minutes in this game. Besides, the team was a goal down and R. Mahrez is definitely a player that could have changed things. Good enough, Spurs wasn't hoping to let City best them for a second time after having a lead start and somehow, Pep did let it happen. Not to mention the whole financial situation going on with City at the moment.

a Rashford and Bruno blank against Leeds would mean a success to my Gameweek, and werghost goal ? nothing would beat the joy that comes with it.
I still can't believe you decided to go Weghorst route, he is not Premier League class player at least so far and he plays just because Martial is injured. If United wasn't for sale they would have bought a proper striker as it is they just got permission to use band aid on their least covered position. Rashford is the man in form at the moment playing for a club in form and having double game week. He was a definition of must have for this week.

My reason for going the Weghorst route is not because I believe he's that good enough for the premier league yet or the Ten Haag system, but I only went him because I knew he get playing time in both fixture (too bad he didn't get to the minimum number of minute required to get the extra 1 point against Palace), and my projection for him was 4 point at the very minimal. Rather than a 2 point for a more expensive Mitrovic or just 1 point from Ivan Toney, so it was rather just a one gameweek pick, especially in relation to transfer budget.

just noticed that United is playing Leeds during the week and for the weekend as well
not sure that they will be able to win twice, and it is a hell of a start for new Leeds manager

looking at game week, Tarkowski on the bench with 15 points hurts, but overall I am not dissatisfied with my choice, depend on Rashford play on Wednesday it could even be a good one (not sure if 14 points (in case he blanks) is more than good for triple captaincy)

Arsenal and City having DGW next week, but would not count on goal scorers in their duel

I have Rashford and Haaland in my squad, but I didn't get many points this round, so I'll drop Casemiro and Maybe also toney from my squad.

@trofo
Well done for this round  Grin
I think you activated the triple captain feature at the right time and succeeded in achieving many points

KDB will be added to the Nunez category of players who will never return to my team until the end of the season.
I am actually quite sure Nunez will find a way to my team sooner or later. Liverpool will have double game weeks and he seems like best choice to gamble on. Salah is much more expensive and even less dangerous while Liverpool defense is something I am not touching for sure.

I'll be here to laugh at your Nunez DGW blank, which I love and I think I deserve it  Grin@trofo.

A Rashford and Werghost blank, combined with Bruno's one goal and assist, would be the perfect week for me. I'm climbing because I believe I deserve it.

Oh no!! Assist to who? Antony of cause..

This game week looks solid and I still have all those United players to give me some more points. Let's go Rashford.

Leeds United have just parted way with manager Jesse Marsch, and is that supposed to mean anything given the just concluded Everton vs Arsenal saga, for what it's worth, I'd rather see Shaw and werghost rack up points than Rashford or Bruno Fernandes.

I really think Leeds might just made their biggest blunder of the season, because Marsch wasn't doing too badly to be honest, but it is an offense even in these small and mid tier club if you fail to win any of your last 7 games, it doesn't matter if your best players are injured during that run and the club failed to bring on any replacement in transfer window, every manager should be able to win all games even when the odds are stacked against them.

Keeping KDB and removing Kane is hurting my eyes; I will make an irreversible decision on KDB after the DGW. He's sitting on a large budget with little to show for it. This season, Pep has told us that Halaand is the only player worth keeping long term.

Man is already out of ideas; every time he gets closer to the league, he meses up with lineups. Mentally, he has already conceded the title to Arsenal. I expect more players to leave at the end of the season.

I already said I'll be getting rid of De Bruyne after their double game week, it's literally not just worth it anymore, and Haalnad is no longer safe as my captain every week henceforth too, I'm sure KDB would play in both of their matches in double game week.
Without KDB, Halaand is a white Benteke; he contributes nothing to the team, he doesn't track back, he must have scored a lot of goals this season, but he's not just that guy who can make something out of nothing. Most teams no longer have him as their permanent captain.

KDB will be added to the Nunez category of players who will never return to my team until the end of the season.

agree here, will revise my Mahrez position after this round, since he will obviously not have guaranteed time on the pitch
there are some better and less expensive choices outhere

now I have two free transfers, so that will ensure changes are good, and saving free transfer this round didn't make it worse, plan was to out Almiron, but all potential replacements (Bruno was above budget) didn't do anything special

I think I will get rid of City as well after the double. Only City player I am looking at now is Ake, with Cancelo gone he should be nailed either as CB or WB. Not mentioning Haaland since everything I said does not include him, he is in his own statistical category.

Nathan Ake is also nailed for me, I've always had him in my team, the only issue I have is that to remove De Bruyne, I'll need more than just one transfer because I'd also want to upgrade some of my players like bringing in Saka, and an extra Arsenal defender too.

I might even finally give Bruno Fernandez a shot because at least he's getting huge playing time and also giving credible returns as well.

Not sure if I can keep up that level when new season starts but every new FPL season is learning for me.

This is my longest FPL season since I joined in 2012. I've made a lot of mistakes with my chips this season, and I'm using it to learn more about the rules. I'm surprised I'm still in the running for the prize.

I'm hoping Manchester City can prevent Kane from scoring the second goal to keep me in a good position this week

Ha! Speaking of hoping Fernandez doesn't take more time on the pitch, FPL's the only time I'm actually keeping track of players and hoping they don't do things -- typical enough for teams in betting esp on cards and corners, but now with this points system, watching players you don't even have money on? I experienced it a little during the World Cup quiz early on, but this is a different level of watching players not even important to you. Saka, for example, I like him anyway so when he looked almost like he was going to go off for the eye injury early in the game, I was extra disappointed.

Guess a lot of people were hoping Rashford would blank...

Meanwhile Leeds... Bamford (my surprise entry hahaha as a hedge to United) had a couple of looks on goal but for a lot of work, nothing. HT meh.

Not sure if I can keep up that level when new season starts but every new FPL season is learning for me.

We're off to a decent start, Rashford triple captainers! Things could've been even better if not for Casemiro's red. Rashford was central after Weghorst substitution, felt like more returns were coming his way. But hey, 36 points with the Leeds game coming up, we can't really complain. I'm surprised that only three of us have used the chip on him. Arguably the most in-form player since the restart vs. the two teams with the worst/highest xGC playing AT HOME, i mean, it's not rocket science, no need to overthink things.

Lol Newcastle concede a goal for the first time since 350 BC  Cheesy
Yeah we couldn't wish for better first game, Rashford already on the 12 point, could have been even more if not for that Casemiro red. When you have a triple captain on somebody every point counts and I think there would have been clean sheet for united without Casemiro red. I pulled TC chip more because of their next game against Leeds, that one should have been even easier, but Casemiro will be a big miss.

Like this United squad, you know exactly what players to get for max points Smiley

If only my minus points for Arsenal players went a bit better, but I got them for next GW double anyway so hope they will make it up to me.

Kepa, damn, yeah, couldn't have seen that coming, honestly. I probably have him unfairly dismissed mentally since 2 seasons ago, though he isn't the only one.

I did avoid a Casemiro mistake (Club talk chat made me consider it for a while) but there's very little joy for me here because of results elsewhere. And yeah, jumping on the triple Rashford bandwagon is the only good decision I've made this entire week.

@casperCGD if Nketiah had just put that one goal away in the first half, things coulda been different.

I was literally hoping Bruno Fernandes will be unable to continue the game after he looked to have picked up the knock, I don't wish to see suffer or in any pain, but I don't mind if he just sits the rest of the game, for the sake of those mangers that have got him on their team and some of them that went as far as triple captaining him  Wink

I really feel bad for a wasted -4 points on getting Rodrigo on my team just for him to be out for another lengthy spell on the sideline, that's literally the end of my relationship with for the entirety of the remainder of the season.
