Oscar may not still be suitable for FPL team because of Pep's rotation. His role will be heavily rotated with another player.

Oscar Bobb will probably start GW1 in Foden's absence and then be benched for the rest of the season. Avoid him!
City always rotates and I am expecting Bobb to have good minutes first few GWs. Still not gonna get him since that is just booking transfer for later but if I went with the early wildcard tactic I would take him 100%.

Liverpool is the team where some good points will be made or lost. Still not sure where to go there.

Haaland performs well when he gets spoofed so much that he is spoiled with plenty of good balls. So far in City, only KDB and maybe Foden sometimes have been able to feed him just enough ball. City's midfield was literally dead that second half albeit a few Kovacic breakout moments.  So almost zero supply to Haaland.

Haaland just needs good supply and only KDB provides that.
One Manchester City player who I know will turn up this season is Oscar Bob. He will score many goals and assist for Manchester City, and Haaland in the absence of KDB will benefit from him and his quick feet.

I missed most of City's preseason game but I can tell that in this Community shield game, Oscar Bob didn't really perform aside from his late assist to Bernardo Silva but it's worth noting that the entire City team was just terrible. Oscar bob delayed City's counter on many occasions because he was holding the ball too long before giving in a pass and once he sees defenders ahead, he just makes a U-turn and pass to a CM or Defender. Couldn't take on anybody on that right side.

I won't get him on my FPL because he'd hardly be a regular like you said.

Someone needs to tell him to stop clowning, the season has not started yet and he has made a mess of himself twice on penalties.

Fabio Carvalho is going to Brentford on a permanent deal. He's going to be very interesting FPL-wise as a 5.0m MID. Could be a great enabler.

Yep, definitely one to consider. Brentford has enough competition on the left flank but he should get enough minutes centrally (and possibly on the right flank too).

£20m + add ons and 17.5% sell on clause is a good business for someone who's never going to make the 1st team. Diaz and Gakpo are not healthy competition for him. Good business

Agreed, but would have liked to loan him for 1 more season and sell him afterwards. The kid can play.

I think I would have fancied his chance with Liverpool in a year or two as well, he could be play multiple options and unlike Klopp, Slot could be tactical playing players out of position when the needs arise, and looking at Liverpool injuries woes for last season, what makes them think they're immune for this year ?
I think it is always better for young player to play in mid table team than to get scraps in top level team. It isn't just game time, it is media, expectations and all that combined. When you make a mistake in top level PL club you are getting a lot of bad press and young players have problems dealing with that. Almost equally bad is if they are good and media hype them out of proportion. That is just not healthy and messes with their heads.

£20m + adds on and sell on clause contract on the table for someone you bought 2 seasons ago for 7m is good enough, sending him back on loan is a huge gamble, could turn out bad or good and that's the situation the club is trying to avoid.

Remember how we missed out on Bayern £60m bid for CHO few seasons ago? We sold him way too cheaper 2 years later after trying to gamble the whole situation.

Oh. Now, I think you're just being salty. Fyi, Nunez has done more and score more goals than Lukaku and Mudryk combined has scored for Chelsea. Nunez isn't the best forward (yet) but he has plenty of room to grow. He might do that under Slot.

More starts than Lukaku and mudrik combined - shouldn't you be comparing him to Palmer and Jackson? Not Lukaku who left 3 years ago..

Klopp couldn't do, Slot has no chance...

We haven't even signed anyone yet and we're already catching fees like strays   Cool

Does it really matter when you guys are still going to end up spending it on someone with Nunez abilities and cry later.

No different between Benteke and Halaand without KDB- he's been poor off the ball yet again.

Yes, Liverpool get to keep 20 percent sell-on clause on Solanke. So that's approx. £9m — definitely a fair deal for a player Liverpool got on a free transfer.

Sixty-three million Pounds gone just like that, he had a good run last season but he's no where near that value.. isn't there a sell on clause in his contract?? Some token for Liverpool?

Everyone is signing left and right, and Liverpool is sending photographs of the trophy wall and attractive models in Liverpool City to Zubimendi in WhatsApp PM, hoping he rejects a contract renewal. Slot has no pull, but that is a topic for another day.  Cheesy

That's really rich coming from someone whose team is signing any and all players they can get in contact with. Cheesy — Liverpool haven't signed anyone in this transfer window and Zubimendi is the type of player that fits into the kind of football that Slot hopes to adapt in his team.

Why does Boehly sign a bunch of injury-prone players and South American teenagers and expect his squad to get top 4?

He could've saved all that money to sign Osimhen and Dani Olmo.

Almost all the good players now are injury prone, it's just what football has turned into.... Don't sell me the Olmo shit just because he scored some good goals are the Euros. Not on our level yet.

For me he is a better signing than what blue side of the London is doing. Solanke is a proven PL player on position Spurs lacked most. Should be a good match. Of course he isn't Kane but there isn't many "proper" strikers on the market at the moment.

No, the blue side will never spend 63m on a mediocre player who couldn't break into our first team after all the loan he had. He cost that much because he owns a British passport, nothing else.

20%, yep - so 15 million or so.

I think it's way too much money for Solanke, but as Trofo said - PL proven, goes into English quota and can be their main striker for the next 5+ years.
The problem? You won't really fight for trophies with Solanke as your main striker.

Good pick for Fantasy though - makes it even less likely I will go with Haaland.

And more so since the club were able to qualifying for UEFA Conference league, Boehly needs to go for broke and make sure the title is heading to Stamford Bridge and if I'm not mistaken winning the Conference League could their best route to play in at least the Europa League for the upper season.

People are underestimating the conference league again, even Aston Villa couldn't win it last season even though they were widely expected to and in fact had the most expensive XI in the competition (not to mention actually reaching top 4 that season).

The only thing this will do FPL-wise is get more players injured which in turn will put us off from even more Chelsea assets. Maybe even Palmer.

Of course I’m not underestimating the Conference League, it’s just pure sarcasm and a dig at Igebotz, I might not even get Palmer for a while with some many options now for the Blues who knows and he too pricey imo at least for a start.

Solanke to Spurs, things are getting interesting.

I won't share the latest iteration of my team just yet.. it is spicy though!
