Trofo is absolutely talking like this because of being experienced about pool management topic. I did an amateurish thing like this in the F1 pool last year. Later on, the person who didn't make payment announced that they withdrew from the league after getting a bad result on the first week.

You have a point, however I wasn't expecting anyone to wait until the last MD or much later in the tournament to make a payment, at least a week beyond the deadline, but the free interest loan solution handles this.... A pool of more than 30 people would be more competitive

Thanks for the tag. Happy to make my donation of 1.5mbtc but give me the weekend to do so, so I at least half-understand what it is I'm signing up for to play (haha). Fumbling all over my to-do list.


Just to quickly respond here that yes, if anyone has challenges making the payment on time, but wants to commit -- happy to help out. Just PM me, as early as possible, so I can make the fee payments well before the deadline. Definitely have done it in the past, just be aware I can still say no, don't take it personally!

I am not for that option at all. It just leads to friction down the road. What happens if BTC is double what it is now in a month? Presumably those that aren't paying immediately have problem to do so and that means they don't have btc. They will feel like shit having to pay a lot of money for pool where they are maybe already out of contention for rewards.

Some delays or loans to reputable members are always a possibility but I would much rather solve all those cases on individual basis trough PM and let in the league only those that transferred money to pool address. Person loaning the money also has much bigger obligation to return to person than to some pool. If necessary I can help few members and I am sure some other members like icopress or buwaytress wouldn't have problem helping some more.

Don't worry, give it some time. I can't speak for everyone, but I haven't used the app or set up my team since the day I installed it; all I want is for the friendlies and the 25-man list changes to be over so I can focus on those who are available. I'll send it my buy-in this weekend and assemble my squad next week.

1 propose that you let everyone who is interested to join without paying the buy-in fees and give them the option to pay later before the last MD; we are reputable enough not to jeopardise our reputation for a few Satoshi.

Still looking forward to the day we would have 35-40 members willing to pay a buy-in of $100 -150 , this way we don't need to depend on sponsorship deals.

I'm also going to be playing absolutely. I hope that the number of participants would be as much as we expected. It would be a good warm-up before the PL (Even though the rules etc. are very different ). I was very distant to fantasy pools before. But thanks to you fellas it has become the game that I like the most for the last a few years.

Well the main reason is that Im sucks on this and I cant seems to get the hang of it lol  Its been my second season playing this but you know bottom 5 is where I usually at lol for straight two seasons. There are no clear reasons yet in the media, but for a player like him, fitness level may be the reason the coach left him out of that game. Lukaku scored 14 goals for Belgium during the qualification, and no coach will dare leave him out if they know he has a chance to play.

Belgium in group E with Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine are the favorites to top that group, Lukaku can continue his good goal scoring form for Belgium.

Arda Guler is under observation for me; he didn't play in Turkiye's friendly against Italy, but he is an important player to Turkiye.

Sent my buy-in fee as well and started looking at teams a bit. What happened with Lukaku in first Belgian friendly, why was he not in the squad? He is in serious contention to secure a place in my team.

Yep, with BTC rising significantly all pools brought huge rewards in USD value.
This will again happen every few years but should not be something we take for granted.

PL pool alone had something like 0.3 BTC reward pool - which is over 20k$ at current prices.

Let's concentrate on playing for fun and the sponsorship money will probably come - it always does one way or another.

He already wrote here that sponsorship will probably be 1200$ plus bonus codes. I think that is enough to know what to expect and he will write it in more exact terms soon.

Not as big as we would like but should still be respectable with all the buy in fees. To tell you the truth I think we were spoiled with sponsorship amounts across all pools last season. It is not realistic to expect that much ever again unless we get some new player willing to sponsor serious money on the scene.

Finally, now I have 3 Euros pools to prepare for- I haven't seen any friendly games yet, and I'm not sure what the current strength of these teams are, but I want to play the first round with player expectations in mind. Palmer on free kicks, no?

I honestly expecting more from him. It would be wonderful to know how long the sponsor bag is; I understand Icopress is currently busy, but I would need some reason to put in all of my steeze. At the moment, composure 100%, Panic 0%.

I wish i've played UCL Fantasy before, it's the same format. Hopefully, it won't be as buggy as the one FIFA had for the World Cup in Qatar...that one was a total disaster.

And now for something completely different, I am gonna trust you all and put code to join the league right here in the post. You are gonna pay the buy-in fee, send me PM with your tx id and Fantasy name, and only then proceed to join the league. I really hope we are big boys and we can play nicely but in case someone tries to misuse this, I will simply create a new league, and send links over PM while putting problematic people in my black book. Considering this as pilot pool  



Edit: I forgot to talk about rewards. It is a bit though to decide right now but we are looking at probably rewarding first 4, in following fashion:
1 - 50%
2 - 30%
3 - 20%
4 - 10%

Percentages are from total money, sponsorship + buy-ins. That works if we have about 20 players. If there are 10 players, we will reduce to the top 3, if there are 30 players we will add 5th reward and so on. This will be finalized on the deadline when we know exact number of players and amounts we have to dish out.

Although it's a different format and scoring system than what I am used to with FPL, I do like the challenge, I think it will be enjoyable to try something a bit different, especially making subs and changing captains multiple times mid matchday, I like this concept. Count me in!!

I spent at least 5 hours weekly during the FPL season going through YouTube videos, friday press conferences, checking out the latest news, reading opinions in forums and chatting with friends to make my changes, having done all that I could not even make it to the top 10.
Clearly next season I am going with the 5 minutes strategy!!

Did you watch Palmer today against Bosnia and Herzegovina before he was subbed out for Maddison? He looked bright and scored his first International goal, although it was from a penalty kick. It is a good mark from him to secure a starting place in the team in the competition for this England team that is not short of talented players to fill your spot.

Germany, the host, have not been able to get a goal against Ukraine in the friendlies, It will not be good if they do not play convincingly in the two friendly games before the competition begins.

I will give you estimates for myself. For Euro you will need 2 minutes every day plus 5 minutes before every Match Day and maybe 15 to 30 minutes to set up your initial squad.

For standard FPL, I would say at least an hour to set up initial squad plus 5 minutes every week. And maybe 30 minutes on chip weeks.

Now when I say 5 minutes every week, usually I know what I want  to do and it is just 30 seconds but then when I have some though call I loose much more. So that are avarage timings.

Time consuming? A similarity between all of us in this pool is that we all love football and we can gamble on it, so I do not think it is time-consuming for any of us because playing in the pool means keeping up with new information about players, their availability, their game fitness and injury updates, watching games, etc., which is not new to most of us because we did them on our own out of love for the sport even before joining this fantasy pool. So if you already love the sport, that is a plus for you, because whatever you do here will just be you having some fun.
