I would agree you’d wild card now and everything will come crashing down again after just 2 game weeks… I’m just trying to figure out how to whether the no Haaland till game week 7 storm, that’s the toughest hurdle for me right now, and getting him after he’s played the best fixture of their first 6 game week on a point hit is something I’m not willing to commit to, and his fixtures only gets tougher after each game now until after game week 6, so I can’t save up 3 transfers to squeeze him in either 😒
NB: I know that for an in-terrific-form Haaland there is no tough fixture.
I need some Arsenal players badly though.
Partly for this game week they look alright, while I’m already looking at how to soften any potential blow of having 3 premium Arsenal players for game week 3 and 5, One man’s meat indeed….

That is one early wildcard guys. I told myself that I have to make it at least to GW4 before using it. Transfer window will be over by then and we will have international break. That gives 2 weeks price changes we can try to use to build the budget a bit.
But I am thinking later is even better, when all teams settle into first 11 and we know what we are up against.

Btw, I sold Havertz (even though he rotates perfectly with Joao Pedro or Mitoma).
That's probably going to come back to haunt you later - Havertz is on track to be one of the highest-scoring FWD's in the game.

You will probably be fine for now but if you do not start banking free transfers then the run of injuries later in the season is going to kill your rank.
Thank god I'm not alone @icopress. But now I've put myself in a similar position as before GW1, so many choices with such a limited budget.. Haaland or no Haaland is the eternal question. You can get quite the midfield and defensive lineup if you don't get him but the upcoming fixtures are looking juicy.. decisions decisions.

I want to sign Madueke and Palmer by getting rid of fake Jota. I can't believe I have made this many stupid mistakes this year after finishing the previous season in the 2nd position. I'm still so lucky that we are just starting the season and I have a lot of time to compensate these.
How did the fake Jota( Jota Silva) cost £6.0m ?? He's nothing but a 4.5-5.0m player at best. Who is he BTW? Didn't hear anything about him last season - a new player?
I think the common thing we all have here is that no one knows a thing or seems to have heard about this dude even till he’s not a person of interest.
I don’t think he’s got any FPL points so far yet either, I wonder how a player that FPL valued for 6.0m has not gotten any playing minute in a Nottingham Forest squad and he’s not out injured or anything.
The brother had an amazing season with Vitoria last season scoring 15 goals before moving to Nottingham forest this summer, now I see where the hype is coming from and also the reason he's not getting enough playing time is the clause in his contract ( play 15 matches and Vitoria SC will receive £3m more. Just speculating.....

We have a wage max cap of $200k/week, yet none of these players make more than $150k/week.
Maybe if you're talking about new players that you have signed. Lukaku is on a huge salary, so is Sterling. I'd assume at least Chilwell and James are over 200k as well.
If a player is on 100k per week, you have to sell him for 50-60 mil to have a small profit after all the agent fees are calculated. Maybe the crazy inflation in player valuations will work in your favor, but I expect most of these players to lose value due to the lack of game time and clear career progression path.
Yes Lukaku, Sterling, Chilwell and James are all on the old wage structure and are all leaving this summer except for James. When players are on low wages it's easier to sell for profit than when they're on a higher wages ( reasons why Arsenal and Manutd can't sell for profit).
Those who are not part of us are going on loan to Strasbourg or send elsewhere for first team football. ( Clubs are literally all over us to loan our players). The whole project seems to be progressing quite well IMO. Our books are balanced and our Net spend is good too.

Trofo you're right - Palmer and Enzo are on 9-year contracts with exceptionally low salaries and signing fees spread over 6-7 years; additional benefit is that contract extensions are awarded based on player and team performance (Palmer was awarded a few weeks ago for his efforts last season). We know how to sell players at a good value so moving a flop is never our problem.

So they'll only be leaving the club and agreeing personal terms with a new employer if the pay/benefit is better. That's why you have guys like Sterling not even being talked about or approached by other clubs, I mean not because he's a terrible player or can not perform some good standards anymore, but his wages demands are going to be the neck breaker and scare almost any club away even if he's to be signed as a free agent.

Congrats Rruchiman and the rest of y’all winners. You’re sure Comingoutthistime!!! as your username for tells. Last season, you sank right to the bottom like am doing now but, your top of the league now, that’s surprising although, it’s just GW2 with a lot of points ahead to be contested.
Thank you so much, and like I said before, It is a marathon, not a sprint. There are still a lot of game weeks, and within those weeks a lot of things can happen, especially unexpected. @Smartvirus, you could be in the top 8 at the end of the season.I did not hurriedly take Nkunku out even with the danger of the price drop; I will be patient until their conference league qualification game against Servette to see if Enzo will have him start again for Chelsea. If he starts, I will then be pretty sure he will not play by the weekend.
I'm definitely going to switch Pedro to Jackson as soon as the transfer market closes and there are no incomings; he was my huge differential last season while others went for Watkins, and I was riding along with Jackson for fun. We've got some fantastic additions, so the goals will come.
Wouldn't it make more sense for you to grab Solanke right now when he comes back and inevitably gets a couple of multi-week returns, before you dump him for Jackson?
