Betting on sport = gambling?

It's definitely gambling. Any form of betting is gambling. Anything that requires to take risks, and have no control of your outcome should be consider gambling. Betting on sports can be determined by the player's form and ranking, however it's not always the case.

Although sports arbitrage is more of an investment than gambling. But the arbitrage opportunities are getting harder and harder to find.

its 100% gambling but like with black jack.

There is ways to have an edge that takes a lot of
the gamble out of it. But of course its gambling I mean
you cant control if your team fumbles 5 teams even if
you handicapped the game right.

Putting some money onto something which maybe turn in a loss is by definition gambling. Some may say one could win and that is true but most of the time we should be aware that losing is easier than winning. That's why betting on sports is gambling, and a very popular kind.

sports betting is one part of gambling mate as long that you are placing your money at risk it is already a gambling, no assurance that you can earn just a pure luck from it.

Of course yes, betting on sports is also a gambling, you also guess, predict and risk your money on it, same as others gambling. The different is sports betting is not provably fair, not like others gambling.

Like gambling the whole idea in sports betting is the same but the form of choices is more clear than in gambling since you can pick your choices on teams or an individual whom you have observed and evaluated their performances.  Sports betting can be similar like gambling because of the betting practices involved.  But unlike gambling sports betting is predictable while gambling is not, sports betting has minimal choices while gambling has a lot of chances that is why in sports betting you can predict and make a choice to bet with the assurance of a big chance of possibility to win.

Dude for my opinion yes they are the same and just have  different call name. But they differ on winnings and risk.Sport gambling or sports betting is a less risk gambling since you are betting a sports team which sometimes groups of people or a team dominates on a sport so sure wins coming unlike dice that the owner may manipulate and eat your money. But both have risk and both the same meaning of gambling

It is very true that doing the betting in sport is gambling, because here there is something involving contract between two people and they are fighting over something that is so uncertain. This is a gambling and sports 100% stakes in the same with the other gambling there are only several tips that can be used to minimize a defeat that is doing research about supported team

for me it is just same thing, sports betting would prefer me much easier rather than doing casino gambling with sports house you can find many reviews about the team you are betting with and the opponents capability to turn around the game so you can decide whether to put everything in or put some to risk little but casino gambling it is always the house wins big and it is just pure luck to bag big from it.

On sport betting you can make very good money risking little.Golf is the best from @25 to even @300

that is nice diffrence

I don't think it is very good or easy money making method but surely it is better than playing those only depends on luck like dice game. But in sports betting, if you one want to win always then they surely need a luck and at least based on my knowledge it is not a easy task to do it. So I only bet sometimes on sure matches.

Betting on sport is gambling for sure no doubt about that, you are betting on a team and you can lose or win.
But the fact is that you need luck and that is exactly the same as normal gambling.

The different is Sport betting doesn't have any house edge It's purely luck and required deep analysis to predict the result.
But still there are same things as gambling attitude because you can't know the result before it's end

There definitely is a house edge. For example, in any sport with 2 evenly matched teams, you don't get 1:1 odds. If you bet $1, you most probably make $0.98 or $0.99. It is very similar to the house edge of the casino.

Actually before sport betting is very easy we can predict easily who can win that match based on last performance but now it is aslo converted to luck base game all format games have match fixing now so we can not judge correctly that which team or player is going to win in sport betting so Both are same according to me.

For me if you bet in sports betting yes for me that sports betting is gambling.. in sports betting you can win easly there because you can easily predict who will win or not.. like on basketball if you are always watching basket ball you can see who is the best to choose to win in the next battle..

Of course sport betting is gambling, it's different than the typical dice games around here but a more common and well-known type of gambling, You can never predict how the game plays so that's gambling IMO.

Indeed its not to predict you need a lot of luck mostly to win a certain amount if you bet on a ending score from a sport match.
Gambling on sports is almost working the same in my opinion if you dice you dice on a number right, and if you gamble on a sport match you are also doing the same.
It also depends on the fact on what you also bet of course.

Yep sports gambling is fun. we have more chances of winning on sport gambling if we have good insight on the team/s that we're betting.
