i agree that it is gambling too. gamble to me means that you place a certain amount of possession in hope of an event happening that you will get back your possession and more if you win or you will lose your possession if you lose. it is not a trade where you buy a movie ticket where you lose your money but you gain the joy and experience of watching a horror show.

ya betting on sport is gambling, as you are betting on the team which is going to win or lose and here you are also risking your money if the team dont perform and you lose it. just same like playing gambling casinos or dice game, if you bet on high roll and if the result is low then you lose it, so where ever you are betting it is called as gambling.

anything where you are risking money/goods and just hoping for a good or positive outcome is gambling regardless of the amount or the way you risking.
sports is definitely gambling,I don't find a reason why it shouldn't be.

Ofcourse its gambling. I know a lot of people claim they know the teams way too well and can make better decisions, but its still gambling. Even a +EV move is gambling.

if u have chances to lose money? yes, sports betting must be gambling of course, sometimes low odds matches' results are also unexpected, they will lose money on those easy bets.

For me if you bet on the game or sports or anything it can call gambling because you are betting
and you can win or lose. But betting on sports bettings is fair than the other games...

I do not think that the rate is gambling, when it relates to sports, for many in the past gambling to try himself as a sport, and people like it, like bingo and social lottery not gambling

If you are betting is always gambling even it is sport. Like CS:GO they are people betting and that is gambling.
So yeah everything is just a gamble if you bet.

Yes, it is gambling. Just like poker you might have a skill edge to increase your odds but at the end of the day you are making bets that can win or loose money making gambling, especially with the things that can go wrong even for a favorite team in sports.

I'm always trying to see things from both sides but I don't see how betting is not a gamble. You are placing a bet on something. You are still taking a chance to lose or to win.

I still see that as a gamble which required adequate experience.

Betting on sports is not really about luck. It's more like making (more or less) educated guesses, according to some sort of statistics. So I wouldn't call it gambling.

Yes I do think betting on a sport is a gamble. How could you think that it's not? You're placing a bet on a sport, there's no guarantee that you will win. It's the same chance you take.

It's a bet so yes therefore I believe it's a gamble. Any bet is a gamble because you're never sure if you're going to win or not.
That's why I see this as a gamble.

Any form betting is considered as a gambling, whether you bet on sports or event or you bet money in dice games. Anything you try to predict some thing based on you're guessing for doubling your money than it is considered as a gambling. So if you're trying to win something from your money means, it is a gambling.

Yes I do believe betting on a sport is gambling. It's the same risks that you take, to you lose your money when you have the choice to keep that money in your pocket.
I believe that as long as you're putting money down and there's a chance for you to win and make profit, it's a gamble.

Yes of course sports betting is gambling. People are down hundreds of thousands betting on sports. Saying that, to me it is much more worthwhile to have a few small bets a month on your favorite team or horse than play against the house.

My personal reason is I know a little about sports and I have some experience which gives me the slight edge I need to be slightly profitable with good bankroll. As with any gambling its about not getting carried away and be happy with small wins risking small amounts.

You can analyse & compare the exact definitions of gambling & betting until you're blue in the face but for me they're exactly the same thing.

You place money on something that is in essence out of your control & you hope to win. That's the end of it for me.

For me of course it's a gambling one since you gamble on your money by betting on an event that could either lead you to win or losses so it's rather a self explanatory one on this case regardless of what some sites might say about it.

If you are good enough over a period of time you can become a advantage gambler, its not really gambling though when you have +ev combined with bankroll management.  What it boils down to semantics.  I consider +ev not gambling and -ev gambling personally.  Some advantage gamblers have safer bets mathmatically vs house buying or working in a job for a living so doesn't seem lke gambling to me.
