regardless of all else.... why would people buy from BFL. only newbies who are dumb should be buying anything. i can't believe that one firm bought 1 million from these jokers

this big buy is absurd in itself, worse even with BFL. Someone has a lot to learn from chinese inversors.

Great photo, let's hope it's not true. If BFL don't suffer the same delays Cointerra and Hashfast have recently and actually start delivering late Nov early Dec

You're an idiot for even thinking that's possible. Even BFL's overly optimistic estimate (that'll be missed like every other estimate they've ever made) is "hope to have our first units shipped out the door by the end of December."

No chips but nice prototypes   Grin

I see these pics and all I can be reminded of is when the 65nm pictures were shown in 2012.  Two Weeks!, whoops just two more months!, whoops again...

They will probably mine with the first batch and/or slip many out the back door for the extra cash that NDA signing people like what GigaVPS paid, protect the network as long as they can for themselves and their few felatio giving customers, make excuses to further tweak and add stupid shit like xlink to protect the network further, then finally ship when the diff is 3-4 billion.

But hey, that 0.5 btc you made might be worth 5k in 5 years.

Stop buying hardware.  Especially from these jerks.

Only one person knows how Bitcoin works!  That is, until customers get this book "in two weeks" (actually, on Jan. 28, 2014).  Preorder now!

(I am not affiliated with the merchant, the publisher or the author.  Just found it while looking for parties that might sell Walmart GC for BTC).

HMMMMMMM FCC certified and ETL certified PROTOTYPE PCB's? Are you kidding me?
The red prototype doesnt even have electrical wiring!, How the hell could it be certified?!
And now the blue one with all the same certification markings? Hell no I do not believe that, I say thats more false advertising since the 65nm BFL gear isn't FCC certified

Great photo, let's hope it's not true. If BFL don't suffer the same delays Cointerra and Hashfast have recently and actually start delivering late Nov early Dec i think they may stay in the game.

They haven't got a chip to tapeout... that is the issue. That foto I posted was a direct dig at the BFL Monarch from us at Project Wasp... given the 3 other chips potentially coming to market from December through February, of which all of them are available to us when we build the Wasps and Hives... we have some confidence that our miner will be of a better value and appear sooner to the market than the BFL's Monarch. Given that there are at least 3 other companies that could bring chips and units to the market that beat the Monarch in price and speed if they ship before February... one can't reasonably expect anyone to pre-order BFL vapourware. Obviously BFL will be "delayed" well into 2014 given their past performance so it would be FOOLISH to put your order in with them given the other opportunities especially when all of them actually have chip designs and all BFL has is a faux GPU board and no chip at all.

I honestly don't think that's gonna happen.

Looks like he is thinking of "price matching" when they release the Monarch line. Which means, if you pay now, you will pay too much.

They'll raise their prices then offer discount coupons for future orders.
Probably.

Looks like Josh is already promising to screw his early Monarch pre-orders by slashing prices.

Well until I see a prototype from anyone "it's just a box of fans"

BFL raking in the June 2012 Pre-order money and BFL January 2013 with a beautiful box of fans to show for it.

Enough said......

"Yesterday I would have paid $10 per gh/s for bfl gear and I thought that might be too insulting as is. Now with $3 Gh/s miners on the horizon I think $5 per ghs is a good price." -- BitBoyben (Uber BFL Fanboi)
