Это не новая проблема. В 2010 ArtForz начал генерировать на GPU,
потом к нему присоединились некоторые другие майнеры, включая
тех, что использовали крякнутый мной CUDA клиент от puddinpop'а.
Для противодействия этой централизации были реализованы пулы
совместной генерации. Сегодня же сами пулы являются центром,
так что появление нового более мощного способа генерации это
вполне закономерный шаг. Если память не врет - то GPU майнинг
в свое время появился в ответ на то, что у некоторых майнеров
были слишком большие CPU ресурсы, требовался ответный удар.

Учитывая нужную точность 512, выходит эффективнее, но не совсем 3Гх за цену 6850...тем не менее "закинул удочку".

Да никто кроме ФРС не заинтересован.
Я общался с Сонни по этому поводу. БФЛ и так писали об этом неоднократно, и он говорил то же самое - они не заинтересованы в централизации биткойна. Асики направлены на увеличение сложности, т.е. устойчивости биткойна. Продаваться будут по еще более выгодным ценам в соотношении скорость/цена, и тем более скорость/потребление. Они обещали не продавать кому-либо одному огромные партии асиков,т.к. понимают к чему это может привести.
BitForce SC будет требовать подключение к единственному пулу с закрытым исходным кодом.
Отреверсят протокол и напишут свою реализацию.
Как вариант, ≈100% централизация Bitcoin может произойти при выполнении следующих условий:
Если этого не произойдет, мы можем и дальше прохлаждаться в оставшейся тени децентрализации.
- BitForce SC будет многократно превосходить другие решения по соотношению хешрейт/цена;
