Binance has done the right way to help Ukraine. It doesn't only for humanity's purpose, but it also opens the eyes of each person in the world about the importance of crypto coins. I believe with this action, people won't change their mindset about the bad impacts of crypto coins. They will realize that crypto coins have had a big role in this world.

A nice gesture by Binance one of cryptocurrencies biggest exchange for donating $10 million for humanitarian aid and started a crypto crowd funding geared toward assisting the Ukrainians, this is indeed a welcome development and will go a long way in alleviating some of their problems, kudos to Binance for this sole assistance with all indications this aid will project crypto positively globally consequently triggering more adoption of bitcoin by the Ukrainians who had never use it before, Binance should kindly make donations to other war-torn countries who are in need of humanitarian aids.
The great gesture from binance has now triggered great gesture from the crypti community around the globe, this is what crypto meant to be , it's the real people power as nobody can really interupt it no matter how , it's totally neutral! Let's shows to the world that what a freedom is really look like .

We are in the correct community , crypto is here to support each other without any intervention.

It's a good example but again the fund is central and people can't check how the donation money is used, I was expecting a multi-signature address but what is done is the database management by binance.charity/
It's great that Binance have donated $10 million, but I don't understand why they are asking people to donate to them. Why would I hand my personal details over to Binance and give them details of where my donation is coming from, for them to no doubt use some of it to cover their administrative costs, before then passing it on to organizations operating in Ukraine with no oversight, when I could just donate to the organizations I want to donate to directly? Even the Ukrainian government have their own crypto donation addresses. Is the whole thing not just set up so Binance can say "Look how great and charitable we are" when in reality it would be better for people to just bypass them and donate directly?
Maybe its also a win win scenario though, they got to donate to Ukraine but they also have to announce it to the media how great and trustworthy they are.  But since the Ukraine government itself has its own crypto address, then you can donate directly to them. But i have read those fun raising projects for Ukraine, actually Binance should also be credited for that for being so humanitarian. FTX has given $25 for all of their Ukrainian users.

Hopefully, this donation of Binance will literally go to the exact place where it should go. It's such a big money that there will be uncaught interest from the people that would hold the fund just after it's donated.

They don't have to ask people to donate, it's good if they've donated already and what's done is done. They've given the relief from their own fund and let the people decide if they want to do the same thing as well.

And the same goes for other big exchanges that might donate too.

Russian people do not want war.
Ukranian people do not want war.
People from Belarus do not want war.
Therefore at the end of the day we have to understand that it's the sick political situation that makes everything worse for people that they end up in a horrible situation. I had to run from Ukraine 3 days back from Ivano frankivsk and stand on the border for hours before they let me in with my 2 cats. What Russia is doing is horrible. All my savings, my house that I rent everything is now gone. I do hope people continue to make sure gracious donations because Ukraine does need it. NATO is not going to help and WW3 can be there any moment, I literally do not know what's going to happen now.
Terrible situation to be honest.
As usual, all the oligarchs fled to Europe on their planes, hiding their capital in advance, and all this will bring the most damage to ordinary people. All expenses will be borne, as usual, by ordinary people and innocent people.

It is clear that 10 dollars is a small amount and is significant and will not affect anything, but in general for many it will be support, including moral support.

Its not just the $10's its the power of many many $10's of donations which will add up.

You are right its the ordinary people who will suffer, some more than others, Ukrainians,
then Russians from the sanctions to follow and to a lesser extent Europeans as prices
for everything will increase.

Great donation by Binance and proves again the trustworthiness of that
exchange but it will be interesting to see of it gets covered in mainstream news and
indeed will give Bitcoin and Binance a positive spotlight.
I guess from there, having Binance to donate $10 million will already give credit to crypto and bitcoin.  Not surprising really as Binance is used to support projects that are helping in the wake of global disasters way back in 2018.  Hopefully, the war will soon to end as there are already a lot of civilian casualties that suffered most from this war. Putin may be too blind to realized the effects of this war, but at the end of the day, peace and humility should always be the center of all of these.

I don't think there's a single regular person on this forum or living the realities of life who does. I hope you are safe. And it's a frivolous question but have you not been saving in Bitcoin? No need to answer, I just put it out there.

No one is out of the woods yet over there, and those of us who can, should support whomever needs help from there. Russian or Ukrainian or Belarussian, it is awful people are caught up in this and forced to wear a label.

I think it is fair to think that the political bureaucracy thought that Ukraine was going to give up and enter into talks of a change of government, etc. But it has surprised everyone except the Ukrainians and that attitude has spread to the world, that as in this case they show their contribution, Biance makes it public but donations are being made from many fronts, not everyone takes advantage of the moment, between " ",  Obviously that there is some image to selling here, but it is worse to do nothing.

Regarding individuals in reference to what happens in Russia, like the one you name that matters, it is like my comment, if there is something of interest associated with a donation when it is made public but  the really important thing is the money.

I'm not very focused right now, but I think I didn't find a topic about this. Forgive me if it was already posted. Binance announced on Twitter that they're donating $10 million to express their support with Ukraine. They are now gathering donations for the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund here. The usage of cryptocurrencies and crypto businesses are starting to become relevant in the ongoing Russian invasion. Fewer and fewer areas are holding their apolitical stance, even if they used to be apolitical before. I wonder who will be next. It's interesting how Buterin will react, given that he's originally from Russia.

They not only donated the money to Ukraine; they also made the crypto-first crowdfunding website for further help provided by aid to Ukraine. I am always inspired by this type of thing when the top level people come to help others when they badly need their help. And because of that, top-level people help other people who are also willing to help. They get confidence that they have got a legal source to donate their money to the actual needy people. And when I saw the response from them, it truly inspired me.

Some that follow the Ukrainian government donation wallet tweeted about this hours ago before Binance claim the fund to be sent by them because the Ukrainian government tweeted Elon Musk for help yesterday, I thought it was from him and today Binance was actually the one that show support.

The Russian mass anti-war protest which led to hundreds of people being arrested while some are brutalized by the authority shows that the people from the Russians, Ukrainian, etc don't want war but it is the mentality of our political leader thats caused the crisis people are experiencing and the sad part is that the masses are the one affected the most. How I wish the political system can be decentralized just like we have cryptocurrency.

I hope  that bitcoin will get good.PR from this conflict e.g. crypto being used to help Ukraine, refugees etc.; and not bad PR, like Russian oligarchs using it to avoid sanctions and fuel war.

This will definitely affect the PR of cryptocurrencies in general. Given that BTC can be easily transacted under the blockchain, this would not only help boost the reputation of BTC but this will also support Ukraine in providing for relief and funds for the displacement of their citizens.

In this war, Russia successfully proved many things: they proved that despite their military expertise, they can be outclassed by Ukraine and NATO forces; that majority countries in the world condemned the aggression of Russia and on how people are united against them, etc.

I wonder who will be next. It's interesting how Buterin will react, given that he's originally from Russia.

Buterin condemned the move of Putin based from this below article and from his tweets. But no announcement yet regarding their donation to the Ukranian government. If he will donate to Ukraine, maybe, it will not be publicized as his heritage is partly Russian. The initiatives of Binance is not surprising though. Because they have been actively donating to charitable institutions all around the globe.

Sorry to know you got affected by the War, it's been a horrible 2022 for the world and cryptocurrency market. I heard that many students got stuck in Ukraine and some were not allowed to pass through the boarder. However, thumbs up to Binance exchange for representing the crypto market by donating such a huge amount of money to the Ukraine Government. I have noticed that cryptocurrency trends with literally every situation that has to do with this world. The use case of Bitcoin is everywhere, during war, protests, and other issues that got something to do with the Government. Soon the world will adopt cryptocurrency for the help it has provided within these few years of existence. Imagine life without Bitcoin.

That's a big support to Ukraine when they're in need. More countries are giving hands to Ukraine. However a war isn't necessary, because from the beginning once again people have to build their lives even if it comes to an end.

Ukraine have also added cryptocurrency addresses to accept donations. Within a short something around 100 bitcoins have been received. People from different organisations, countries have been supporting. In particular neighbouring countries are really supportive, Poland have accommodated people who are entering the country with all possible sources. Hope the war comes to an end at the earliest.

Well these are the tough times. I’m not sure if anyone is looking after political agenda while they are donating in the war zone country. Binance just broke the ice by doing this because we always need proper examples to be set before others start to do the same.

I think we should just take note of this step exchanger like Binance done. It’s not tiny amount, it’s huge for the cause which started 3-4 days ago. They know the emergency, they know the duty. Just cool.

Hope that world will see crypto as perfect opportunity from here onwards.
