New user of bitamp wallet here and have a quick question aside from web wallet is there any app available? I search it on google playstore but I can't find it. Also I find the exchange is in development hopefully xrp and USDT will be added since this is more adopted by the traders.

Anyways I love the site so far  since look good to my eyes.

1. Based on the fact that it is positioned as a wallet on the client side - is it possible to work in an offline browser? I didn't succeed, or tell me how to achieve this
Not possible. What purpose?  is for to create an offline wallet?.

I talked much on pages 1 and 2 of this thread. Bitamp uses BIP 39 mnemonic seed, you can use https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ to create an offline wallet and using bitamp wallet to create transactions.

Thanks for the reply and yes, you can use Bitamp offline (since it's a client side wallet) but you will need to be online to broadcast transactions.

Try it, just save a local file for bitamp wallet creation and you can still create your wallet offline.

Leading Crypto Sports Betting & Casino Platform
My personal take after a first test drive:
  • UI - Sleek and easy to use, switching between functions and tabs looks good
  • Tx fees - As others have already noted, I would prefer to be able to set my own fees so let's say a custom options would be great
  • Lightning - Any ETA regarding when this will be ready?
I could suggest this wallet for newcomers who would like to have a quick start with BTC and I will reserve to modify my review in the future.  Wink

the upcoming Lightning and exchange features are really valuable add-ons to this wallet. if they will add their internal exchange, it means they may be adding more coins in the list. hopefully to see eth, ltc, xrp, doge in the list.
if those features will be added, i believe they can attract more users to use this wallet.

The wallet is light and simple, the operation is not difficult. But there are several questions:
1. Based on the fact that it is positioned as a wallet on the client side - is it possible to work in an offline browser? I didn't succeed, or tell me how to achieve this
2. Open source code is a plus for the project - anyone can check it if they have knowledge. The question is - was the code security audit done?

Better to trust yourself with your own Electrum or Bitamp wallet IMO.

I asked before but I didn't get any anwser so far...
Do you plan to add manual fee option for sending Bitcoin in Bitamp wallet, similar like it is in Electrum wallet.
Currently there is only priority, regular and slow fees.

Is it safe to stake on Kraken? What are the chances of it getting hacked?

Only as safe as trusting Kraken. It’s a big exchange, and regulated, so that is some degree of safety and trust there. Plus it hasn’t had a bad reputation over the years.

But in the end, no amount of promises or guarantees protect you if Kraken decided to go bust overnight, or if they got hacked for everything. It’s their word.

Better to trust yourself with your own Electrum or Bitamp wallet IMO.

What's the safest crypto?

Probably Bitcoin, and not for a single reason. It’s arguably too big too fail now. Governments can’t stop it. Hackers can’t crack it, quantum computers won’t get near for many years, and it’s also got states and pension funds and big institutions all backing it now. It’s here to stay, and that’s as safe as it gets for crypto!

Agree?

The future of bitcoin definitely looks more secure now than ever, and as you say the fact that it's drawing in institutional players is a major factor. The quantum computer vulnerability does concern me, though. Whilst it's true that a viable QC attack on bitcoin is some way off, it's also true (I think) that bitcoin won't be able to respond immediately. Moving bitcoin to a quantum-proof cryptography means that all coins from all addresses will also have to be moved. Any coins that are not moved - and this includes 'lost' coins - will remain vulnerable to attack. One common estimate is that around 20% of bitcoins are 'lost'... and a sufficiently powerful QC running Shor's algorithm would be able to acquire these. Should they want to (assuming for conspiracy theory purposes that the QC is owned by a state actor that sees crypto as a threat), the thief could then dump these coins on the market and trigger a catastrophic and perhaps terminal crash.
I do agree with your point, and as you say a viable QC is likely years away, but this threat needs to be addressed long before it actually becomes a threat.

- Example: I choose the second address in the Address tab. Not choose the first one (the is a default one in Receving tab). So the question, how do I add it to the Receive address and get its QR code there? Is it possible?

All the address is received address. just copy it one to provide payment. I think if you received payment on the second or third address it will be received address by default.

Any sneek peak for Exchange tab, please.
maybe go to Github https://github.com/bitampcom/bitamp/blob/master/crypto-exchanges.html

I am new to bitamp web wallet. I created it instantly which the web provided a seed phrase for the wallet. It is so nice smooth and easy to use bitcoin wallet. I can recommend this to my friends and relatives that are also into bitcoin.

Is there any by chance that the web walley could create an app in which we will going to use instead of manually or bookmark the site for us to access? I prefer an app that could also be connected to a 2FA like mobile phone or email for verification purposes only every transaction that will going to be made to keep us aware that if by chance someone has access our account and made withdrawals then we will be notified thru a code provided as a 2FA before one can proceed into the transaction.

Hey,

I see in the Receiving tab with 3 default receiving addresses for 3 types. I can choose one of them from the drop down menu.
In the Address tab, if I choose each type of address, I will have a very long list of addresses with the address type.

Can I ask for the same long list in Receiving tab?
- Example: I choose the second address in the Address tab. Not choose the first one (the is a default one in Receving tab). So the question, how do I add it to the Receive address and get its QR code there? Is it possible?
- I suggest to include a new space for copy and paste receiving address after I choose an address type in the dropdown menu. As long as the address I copy and paste it is belong to the list in Address tab, it will be accepted. If I copy and paste an address from somewhere else (not belong to that wallet), it will be rejected.

My two cents.

I also see 2 tabs in developments: Lightning and Exchange.

Any sneek peak for Exchange tab, please.

Meh.
I didn't pay much attention to it, it turns out that there are really 3 types of wallet available, Grin
I also like how the UI looks and is simple and easy to load so I thought I would turn to Bitamp for the first time.
If the feedback from Hhampuz is what I will follow.
Honestly Bitamp is a good wallet address.  Wink

It's actually just 1 wallet, but you can access all 3 types of supported Bitcoin addresses, as pointed out above:)

We're very happy you like the wallet, and a note to all comments above, we always pass on your notes to our devs, we hope you like what you're seeing so far, enjoy!

Very good so far, if I may make an "out there" suggestion it would be.. Can you make it so we can login to the wallet using a master password? I understand the security point of view with how you currently do it but it would be nice if I at least could access my wallet in "view mode" using a password rather than needing the seed, privkey or file.

Completely fine if this is not something you want to do though and I'd understand it too! Just for us lazy people  Grin

I sent crypto to the wrong address. What can I do?

Unfortunately, not much you can do. Crypto transactions are irreversible, at least in the case of Bitcoin. The only way to get it back is to ask the owner of that address to return it to you.

In this case, if it's a centralized exchange, you can open a support ticket and ask nicely. No guarantees though!
If still 0 confirmation and followed the RBF feature, we can cancel the transaction by creating a new higher fee in Electrum wallet and the fund will back to your address.

I know Bitamp doesn't have an RBF feature, maybe next time. I also waiting for LN and passphrase Option, when?.

When I was looking for a site for creating a bech32 wallet, I did not find a well-designed and convenient site, but I was lucky to see this service on this forum. Using the Bitamp wallet is quite convenient and safe. I wrote my personal and unbiased opinion, since I myself use the Bitamp wallet.

I've been using the Bitamp wallet more and more lately and it's definitely been growing on me. Just the fact that I can choose all types of receiving addresses is a huge deal for me as some will only let you send to a Legacy address while dealing with people bech32 is usually preferred. UI is great too, perhaps you could add a darkmode though?  Grin

Thanks a lot for your kind words:) We pass that on to our team.

We can't promise anything unfortunately, but we always pass on feedback to our developer team. If they find a way to squeeze things into their priority, they will;)
