Btw like Bitamp doesn't support Segwit addresses? because I think a lot of people use it especially in the Hhampuz signature.

Please let me chance to show my past post to help you out.
With Bitamp wallet, from a single private key, you can have three options to get 3 types of receiving address list, for: standard(1xx), segwit (bxx), and P2SH (3xx). You can choose which types of address you want to use, from the Overview tab or from the Addresses tab. Choose it from the dropdown menu.

The wallet supports change address too.

Additionally, you can import BTC address you get from Bitamp to other wallets, such as Electrum.

On Bitamp, with each receiving address, you will have the key icon, click on it to get private key for that specific address.
Below is an example for you. You should never disclose your private key like that.

On Electrum, click on File > New/ Restore > Import Bitcoin addresses or private key:
- If you copy and paste your BTC address from Bitamp, you will get an imported, watching only on Electrum.
- If you copy and paste your private key from Bitamp, you will get an imported wallet on Electrum.
Name your wallet file and set up a good password on Electrum when you import it.

Meh.
I just tried to create an account from BitAmp and it's quite easy to choose kinci with our wishes private key or seed phrase but I have never made a transaction but will definitely try it and what about the speed of the transaction rate.

Bitamp gives you the option to use Legacy, SegWit AND bech32 addresses. For whatever purpose you need Smiley

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Tried to create an account and everything went well and it's very easy to do, I see there are some features in Bitamp such as lightning and exchange that are not working yet, hopefully this feature can be released soon, waiting for Bitamp there is also a mobile app version. Whether Bitamp support to send to multiple addresses?

We were asked on Quora: How can I restore my previous Bitcoin wallets? I had a lot of accounts. is there any way to find all of them?

All the answers provided are right (you simply restore the seed or private key at most Bitcoin wallets, Bitamp supports that, for example, and you have your wallet as before).

Just a quick note, in case there is confusion, you can also have many addresses in a single wallet, virtually unlimited for regular use. You don’t always have to have a new wallet for every new transaction you make.

Question for Bitamp team: Do you plan to add manual fee option for sending Bitcoin?
I know there are now three options, priority, regular and slow, but I prefer to have my fees set to manual sometimes on weekends.

I've been using the Bitamp wallet more and more lately and it's definitely been growing on me. Just the fact that I can choose all types of receiving addresses is a huge deal for me as some will only let you send to a Legacy address while dealing with people bech32 is usually preferred. UI is great too, perhaps you could add a darkmode though?  Grin
Since you personally endorse it then I will give it a try for sure since Im not yet using it I will ask first if Is there any option in bitamp to send to multiple bitcoin addresses in one single transaction?

I hope that you have a mobile wallet available in playstore and appstore. Your wallet is very solid, One private key already contains 3 different wallet type (legacy, SegWit and SegWit native). I might use this once you have a mobile apps.  Wink

+1 I also looking forward to see available mobile application in playstore. because it is more convenient to use when you do not need to login repeatedly and all you have to do is to save your private key.

I also like the article you have in your website explaining about bitcoin and what exchange to use when buying Bitcoin .

This is the first time to used Bitamp wallet via mobile browser. Some feature still not working like lightning bitcoin and exchange, Is this available in Web browser?

The website design is very cool and it's very easy to create account(almost instant). I just notice that the private key format is different to the regular private key, Can I import it on different wallet such as electrum and other wallet?

What kind of cryptocurrency wallets would allow to buy/sell and withdraw currency at Crypto ATM?

Any decent Bitcoin wallet with a Bitcoin address or QR code should allow you to use Bitcoin as you would normally! Even centralized wallet addresses should work, though you should check with the laws of that service before trying out.

To be perfectly safe, use your own wallet, an open-source client like Bitamp or Electrum would work perfectly fine at a Bitcoin ATM!

When will Bitcoin mining ever stop, or will it just get harder?

Hard to predict what will happen, but so far, the incentives mechanism has worked. Bitcoin mined with a block will get smaller, but the price increase has still made it highly profitable for miners, plus the fees from transactions helps subsidize that cost. Eventually, mining difficulty should reach a sort of equilibrium with incentives and market price.

It’s at least two more halvings (7 years away) to see where we stand here.

What do you think?

Which reliable Bitcoin wallets are recommended?

I always say to start with the most obvious and most reliable out there. This means Electrum (and not Bitcoin Core unless you want a full node). It’s open source, it’s non-custodial, and it’s proven to be the most reliable over the years.
Of course, it’s not always easy to pick up for the newcomer, which is why we built Bitamp, which is all that Electrum is, except with even simpler UI and based on web for access anywhere on the go, on any device.

How can you keep your bitcoin or cryptocurrency safe from hackers and thieves?

It takes a lot of safety and precautionary measures, but the first step for me is to make sure that the responsibility lies entirely on you. As much as possible, you should be in control of your risk and vulnerabilities, which means that you should keep your funds on your own wallet as a first step, not on a service or platform where your funds are in control of another entity. This is because no matter how safe you are and how much you’re careful, if the service goes down or is hacked, there’s nothing you can do about it. This means choosing a proper Bitcoin wallet like Electrum, Bitamp and many others which are open source and non-custodial.

Why does it seem like Bitcoin accounts and exchanges are always hacked?

Because people simply aren’t using their Bitcoin wallets the way they should, or practicing good behaviors with security.

In the case of personal wallet hacks, it’s more often than not malware on their devices that sent their information to the hackers. So it’s not accounts getting hacked, but devices. In the case of exchanges, it’s down to bad security practice. Mt Gox famously just had some staff keep the USB containing private keys in a drawer.

Your coins, so your keys only.

I will try to use multiple wallets to decentralize my crypto capital. I do it for bitcoin and for altcoins. If one wallet provider has technical troubles, I won't be affected seriously. Even in worst case, I won't lose all my crypto.

In addition, I store my bitcoin on a very special computer on which I only store bitcoin. I never download altcoin wallets and install them on that computer. With new altcoins, it is best to not download and install their wallets on the computer you use to store bitcoin and use it to trade everyday.

Exactly, thanks for sharing:) It's all about spreading your risk and ensuring you are protected from single points of failure. It may not even be your fault, a technical issue could happen on a wallet, and even your device is a point of failure. Many secure devices is better than 1 secure devices:)

Should we use different wallets for each crypto we hold?

Not necessarily, but I’d recommend that for sure, at least for different networks. Problem with most multi-asset wallets is they’re not open source, so you can’t really know for sure what they have in their code. Plus, you want each asset secured. Imagine losing one wallet, and losing everything? Or if one network crashes or forks, how will that affect you?
Opinions guys?

Why are blockchains getting hacked if they are seen as 'uncrackable'?

We were asked this on Quora. Sharing our answer for discussion.

Blockchains are rarely hacked. The hacks you read about generally happen to exchanges and other services, or through account hacks, where the backdoor is through smart contracts or simple account compromise. Here, the flaw lies with developer codes and user carelessness.

Ethereum after many years of developments is a chain on which scam projects join and build up a very big scam ecosystem. ERC20 scam ecosystem. I would not blame on Ethereum for scam projects but why it happened?

Ethereum is different. Important decisions and upgrades are decided and made by core team with the header is Vitalik.

Have to agree here. But this is also the drawback of decentralization. No one should determine what goes on the blockchain or not in terms of dapps. Scam or not, that's up to the investor to decide.

But their decision making is quite centralized true, not to the decision making democracy of Bitcoin
