XCP is nothing like Blackcoin. That's what people around here were in for. Blackcoin with some interesting vectors.

Toknormal's reasoning is sound though. The coin isn't dead yet. It's not going to drop to zero unless the team abandons it entirely.

Multisig, Turing complete language (ethereum compatible) allowing the creation of smart contracts, cold wallets, decentralised asset issuance, exchange, p2p trustless betting, deritivatives, hedging, payment gateways etc -- all those features are available right now in CounterParty (XCP), the developers are not anonymous; they have formed legal entities, foundations & have the backing of established billion dollar multinationals who are actively working on building platforms based on that protocol with a multimillion dollar budget allocated.

I don't understand why there are still investors risking everything for a quick flip, pouring funds into re-hypothecated boiler room ICO schemes arranged over skype&irc with marketing fluff rich whitepapers before working implementations like bitbay, instead of projects like the example above.

Shitcoin scams will only ever be short term profit for some, the rest will be bagholders.. it's a time tested notion going back many years on this forum..and many many more years outside of this forum better to go with established project with a strong history for medium-long term vision, the growth will be more modest, and there will be fluctuations but over time providing the fundamentals are strong you have less chance of a loss.

We all have our own definitions of "scam".

I paid into an IPO for a technical roadmap. If that roadmap is ultimately delivered I won't consider it a scam.

If it isn't delivered I will.

I don't need to bet anything. I'm happy just to stick with my current holding and see if the contracts can work (on a Mac preferably).

In spite of everything I actually like the name "BitBay". I think it's a class name and the project does have the makings of a potentially solid future. The clusterfuck has all been to do with the IPO and the all kinds of personnel nonsense ranging from incompetence to outright criminality depending on who's version of events are believed.

What's useful though is that the personel that have been lost are the ones that were'nt doing anything useful anyway and the one that isn't is the one person that is required ot take this project forward. So I think I'll stick out to see what happens.

Ive been think about this a bit overnight.  Let say for a second that Bob had done what he was suppose to do, which is market, and in my view keep the price stable (this is my interpretation of the chat logs).  Where would we be today if Bob hadnt invited his P&D group over here, publicly threatened to destory Davids reputation, and posted the chat logs.  He started all this with the view of destroying bitpay and walking away with 600+ BTC from investors

All of this sh*t was about the IPO and its wake. If it had happened 6 months in then - yes, it would be "shot". But it's recoverable if there's a technical momentum from here. If that happens the rest will come because it's moving off such a rockbottom base.

Meanwhile there are three other non-criminal, well staffed decentralized markets coming on line. You prob should not bet the farm.

Coin is gut shot. Will never recover. Wasn't just bob that did the damage, they are all thieves. Naivite is the ethereum of this coin.

I'm holding. There's no way I'm dumping now at these prices as long as there's a semblance of a prospect that the wallet will continue to be developed.

After digesting all accounts from all parties concerned there's only one person who I listen to now and that's dzimbeck. If he says "dump cos I'm not working on it any more" then I'll dump. If he says he's going to work on it then I'll hold.

Sure let's give transaction fees to the exchange that actually helped to create this scam. They bought their own ico. That's a fraud play. To make it look good and get others to buy in.

Because David has stated he will continue to develop the coin.  Bob and Gekko are bad actors and the real scammers in all of this.  They were part the dev team and once they receive their part of the ICO they basically told the community to "fuck off" and then to add insult to injury they have attempted to completely destroy bitpay and investors hopes of ever seeing a return.

While Bob had done significant damage, he hasn't killed bitpay and the bleeding had been stopped.  Let now look forward and get bitbay moving in the right direction.

If you want to exit bay to rescue remaining bitcoins, user bter to dump into that 62sat wall, theres a stable price exit.
