I am really excited on what bitbay has to offer in comparison to other coins. Does anyone know if they plan on incorporating the masternode feature?
Sadly not. Although perhaps a variation on ethereums upcoming pos/dpos could be possible.
Although David will answer when he gets a chance and explain it more in detail but the gist is he does not like masternodes due to the centralisation it can bring.
Masternodes are the new hype, but they tend to create centralization. The dev is right to avoid this easy path.
Imho, "Masternodes" and "POS" coins will take a serious hit in a very close future: because most lure miners and stakers without a real use case of the coin besides "storage of value". This is currently a bubble in the cryptomarket.
Of course in this case bitbay is not a coin lacking a use case. Coupled with a bunch of people accumulating and holding for profit could work out rather nicely if implemented in a sensible way.
Although the plans david has for locking away coins with the peg with duration and amount taken into consideration when working out the rewards is just as good if not better. So either way soon bitbay will provide incentive to accumulate and hold to a degree that may well make many churners reconsider.
It's a complicated matter this crypto game, projects are generating themselves huge development funding from hype and fluff and bringing on some real devs. Others are plugging along creating real tech and real usefulness and not getting noticed. If you can play all angles it is probably best.
Bay should be at 10000 sats minimum right now.
