Has there been any effort to get Daily Paul owner Michael Nystrom to start accepting Bitcoin? That's one of the biggest libertarian websites out there and getting him on board would be HUGE.

You know you didn't have to do them one at a time, for you can Bcc them: (multiple recipients: 'name1, name2').

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
We have 112.854 bitcoin ready to donate. Let me know when to send (or if we should give Randy and Matthew a chance to get on the donator list too)

Send it! We'll use them to fund the next pool. Thanks, Rassah.

mintymark (#91) sent me a PM stating that he has honored 1 BTC. Thank you so kindly, mintymark, for your contribution. The list in the OP has been updated.

BIG APOLOGIES TO ANYONE WHO HAS ALREADY DONATED OR DONATED DIRECTLY WHO ENDED UP GETTING A MASS E-MAIL.

This forum only allows sending 10 messages an hour, so there is a BIG lag of reminders going out, and some of the reminders may have gone out AFTER your donation was already received.

Also, please let me know if you want to be identified for the 10BTC donation, transaction# beca8007240e1838cb5a3a84b1e7f2b1ef2966a8cf656ba2ba9e22267cc718e2, address 1QCC8M4FihHG6PpUwW35cniwxNW4sMY7iQ. If not, I'll just treat it as a single 10BTC per charity donation honored by anonymous donor.

Although I would love to see a button on their donation page, but that's not a deal breaker. I suggest the same size as their PayPal one, and pay close attention to their color scheme on their website. Orange may that be a good choice in this case. They can implement it after they receive their first lump sum.

Heyo, I got them to add the bitcoin button next to the paypal one!

Happy, happy, joy, joy! I think we iz ready to send. http://blockexplorer.com/address/1G85cQXETuGeMGvniv5SuMACegCR6L51A5

Great job, joshbb. It's times like this that I wish there were more adjectives (or is it adverbs) in the English language to express how we, as a community, feel about your efforts.

I'm going to work on the first official blog post over at bitcoin100.org, for the other posts were just place holders. The post will be Group B Strep International related.

Sent one straight to their adress, not much, but there will be more and I think it looks better, if they get from several different instead of one single.

Hence the kickstarting aspect. Thanks for donating directly, istar.

How will I go about proving that I donated what I pledged?

Transaction # is sufficient

Where do I see this transaction number?

Here it is, Nicolai Larsen: http://blockchain.info/address/1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac

Are you this guy? http://www.nicolailarsen.com/ If so, that's some great artwork! (the reason for Googling you was because I was thinking of a famous singer with a similar name--no offense, I hope)

~Bruno~

No, I'm not that Nicolai Larsen. I don't blame you though. It's a pretty common name in Scandinavia. Never heard of a famous singer by the name Nicolai Larsen though? ;P

Anyway, so I send the BTC and it says: RECEIVED: a999292f4f8ed6a3aa10e43c33c26ff5ebcd239b40affc59e946728c114c0d4c on the page now? Is this the transaction number?

Did you send it to Bitcoin 100's address or their donation address? It doesn't matter which--just wondering. Somebody else please answer Nicolai's question, for I may eff-up the answer.

For the record: sent 6 BTC to 1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac, confirmed.

I was wondering where that came from, neuronics. Thank you so kindly for your contribution. OP has been updated.

I sent 1.0 BTC to 1G85cQXETuGeMGvniv5SuMACegCR6L51A5 which is the address shown on the web page of http://www.groupbstrepinternational.org/donate.html .
bitcoin transaction: 36a47ad0-ff73-4174-afec-a48b8b00b838

I'll send 1 BTC for 4 more good causes. Not much, but I guess everything helps a little bit.

Although this relative information won't be included on the list in the OP, Herodes, you contributing via their address was an excellent choice. Good show! Thanks, bud.

~Bruno~

EDIT: I did include Herodes contribution on the list. See #78.

I started a thread in the Newbie section for Bitcoin 100. I took the liberty and used the pronoun "we". Hope nobody objects. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-100-70088
