Realistically, I don't think these kids will even learn about Bitcoin until they are at least in high school.
The reason I am saying this is at least we had computer labs, etc. when I was growing up - it just goes to show how long it may take for Bitcoin to become mainstream.

Schools accepting Bitcoin won't really do much for the price or demand of Bitcoin. But what I don't understand is why the head of those 2 schools doesn't accept credit card. It seems like a pretty dumb idea to only accept Bitcoin, but I am not sure whether they accept other payment methods such as bank transfers or cash deposits. I doubt they would be something like paypal to be accepting payments from so many people, they would have to do a lot of work to make sure that the account doesn't get locked.

It is a good thing that bitcoin start to be implemented in many sectors, even though is not going help a lot in the transaction rate but it will help bitcoin popularity, and accepting bitcoin for education sector is a very good thing, the children will know bitcoin since they are young so it is a good way to introduce bitcoin to a young generation

Bitcoin could move forward and accepted in various sectors because of people who use and support this cryptocurrency, not only miners or devs team but every bitcoiners may have their own idea or contribution for bitcoin usability in their neighborhood.

So he rejected the credit cards but is accepting btc? That doesn't seem that good to me, as I do not see anything bad for bitcoin but I see the possible struggle for the parents.
I don't want to disappoint the users, but almost all news of this kind are fake. Such luxury can afford only online stores. In my country, any subject of Commerce has the right to trade only in the national currency. You can't trade even for a recognized currency.
That's great, but your country isn't New York, where they can accept whatever payment method they want. There's no law in the US that says businesses have to accept fiat. Even convenience stores don't have to accept loose change as payment. They can refuse that if they want to. Thus any school like this can accept bitcoin and not credit cards. More and more establishments, businesses, or even schools are simply recognizing the wonderful usage of Bitcoin. Though it is not that too surprising for New York. Even here in my own country, I have seen some school here in the Philippines that accepts Bitcoin for tuition fee payments. This is pretty amazing that the school have chosen not to accept credit cards from the parents and wanted bitcoins in payment instead, but I guess not every parents would know how to use bitcoins, this action might cause the school to lose some of their potential customers away to their competitors who accept payment in the traditional way.

Hmm. Yes this is good news. But it's kinda weird because he doesn't accept credit card payments what? I know we want to spread the name of bitcoin for mass adoption but why is he forcing the parents to but Bitcoin for the payments? Definitely should be optional.
Yeah, that's a good news for the future purpose...It's a process of getting popular and acceptable currency across the world, I think it will be one of the best currency in the future world. And I don't think that the process is wrong.
Of all schools, it is a pre-school that initiates the first move. That is simply amazing. I kind of love the idea of the man behind this school's policy. That is something novel. I hope such a brilliant and huge step encourages other establishments to do the same.

this is a great news for us because this will help to spread bitcoin into younger and they can know about bitcoin in early. i am sure that their teacher will be understand while someone explain about bitcoin in that school because they can read and ask more about bitcoin too. if this is success then i am sure other school will be follow this step and the more school will know about bitcoin too.
That's not a good move for a "business" in my opinion, rejecting a payment type widely accepted like credit card but at the same time accepting a niche payment type such is bitcoin.
It's definitely good for the bitcoin community though, and has the potential to make more businesses start doing the same - I won't complain about that.
