Bitcoin will never give in to leadership. I think that there is still no coin that can displace bitcoin. But from you listed coins I like ETH and ZEС. It seems to me that they have great potential.

in this year, we will see the better rising of altcoins including NEO Litecoin and Ripple but most of them wont have the chance to catch up with Ethereum in this 2018, this year is the year of ETH, we will see the slow down of bitcoin and the common used of ETH in transactions everyday because it is much better than bitcoin at any aspects. 
for my own I chose Ethereum to replace Bitcoin because Ethereum has the potential to grow further in the current market price.
I don't think Bitcoin has any real alternatives. But if we talking investment wise Ehereum and NEO are the closest options for good return relatively small risk, in my opinion.
When we talk about investments there are many alternatives that give better profits than bitcoin, but when it comes to functionality nothing beats bitcoin with its practicality and its acceptance through the world and if bitcoin were to disappear then right now there is not a single coin which will be able to fill the void left by the bitcoin disappearance.

There is no alternative of Bitcoin. But one can earn more than BTC by investing in Altcoins. Some good Altcoins are ETH, Waves, Stratis, Neo, CTX(CarTaxi), ACC(Accelerator), eBCH.
I would prefer bitcoin than any alternative currency, but it all back to yourself, look for alternative that has high volume. Might they would have many followers.

There are also lots of alternative coins that has good potential aside from the ones you listed. Neo is good as well as venchain, lisk is doing good at the moment xlm has good partnerships and as always cardano and iota have great technology. And as for the newly ones i would go with thekey, bluzelle, nebulas and dragonchain. I am waiting for wanchain to get listed lots are waiting for it and i would definitely buy a pretty decent amount of it.

I really like Eth because of its significant growth. Ethereum has posted a growth increase of more than 3.700% in just one year. Although Eth price is much different from BTC. Actually if seen from its growth, Ethereum must be able to compete with Bitcoin price in the future. a good coin alternative for 2018 is nice it seems only verge and XRP besides that I still doubt, so better use to buy them when the price is still cheap.
Litecoin has been increasing its value, and ETH is doing the same. I believe maybe ETH can win BTC Cash in some point of this year.
Of course in crypto all is always speculation. To me , it will be 50% between Litecoin and ETH, for they are the most stable and competitive altcoin to me.

The best alternative coins in 2018 is Ripple(XRP).Ripple is one of the most popular and successful alternatives to bitcoin Ripple has gained traction to improve banking transaction and settlements and if bitcoin takes Four hours to settle in every transaction Ripple(XRP) takes 3.6 seconds in every transaction and i think Ripple is the best for now.
I dont agree with you because the alternative coin is not only need quick of transaction.
Ripple has very much supply and it can not be compared with bitcoin that just has 21 million supply.

By 2018 the bitcoin alternative I think Ethereum is the best, because Ethereum also has a token alternative now. With a token you can get Etherum, though now there is a Zcash that promises me to keep choosing Ethereum.
I undoubtedly believe that Ripple is an excellent alternative to Bitcoin in the future. I look forward to seeing XRP pairs in every major exchange in the future. Not only is ripple stable, but the speed of its’ transactions will solve main of the issue most people have with BTC. I look forward to seeing if my prediction is correct or not.
