Hello esteemed BitCoin community,

I've been keeping track of the development of the BitCoin phenomenon with it's up's and down's for quite some time already. I would call myself an outsider as I am not a professional in the arts of engineering/computer science, which seems to be a common denominator in many of you.

I've searched and browsed through these forums to find services in the legal/escrow/dispute resolution sphere and there seems to be a few interesting threads related to it.

Where my idea differs from the ones previously presented is the following:

Whereas the discussions in this forum have revolved around technical implementations or "online credibility" for arbitrators/escrows, I myself, as a practicing lawyer am coming from the world of commercial transactions and regulatory reality. My interest in the BitCoin system has always revolved around the interface between the virtual and the "real" - and that is why my idea is that for the escrow/arbitrator to be trusted - his/her identity must be known and he/she has to operate according to the ethical and regulatory standards of the real world. Meaning: his a** can be sued, if necessary.

So, my idea is to provide legal services as myself and not anonymously. That naturally does not mean that my clients need to disclose their identity. The challenge with that is naturally the regulatory regime currently in place within the EU regarding anti-money laundering procedures, which obligates the providers of legal services to know their customers in certain instances. But I believe this hurdle can be overcome.

For this reason I would appreciate if I could get whitelisted to present this idea to a larger audience to see their reactions and get a feel if there would be demand for this kind of service.

Feedback and ideas welcome:

Hello!

I'm an internet entrepreneur trying my hand at bitcoin.

Over the past few days I've been writing an automatic system to deliver on-demand Mt. Gox bitcoin codes to users via Google Checkout.

My goal here is to provide greater liquidity to bitcoin *as a currency* rather than as a trading commodity. I'm attempting to do this by facilitiating small scale bitcoin purchases (and sales) for regular paper currency on low margins.

In essence: users can buy bitcoin (mt. gox codes) using their credit cards (via google checkout) and sell the same using paypal.

Mr Coins is open for business as of today at: http://www.mrcoins.org/

The script has been freshly coded, so if anyone reading this makes a purchase, please be patient. I may have to sort out your order manually. (I will be watching with ernest for the first few days, so your order should go through quickly regardless.)

Thanks for your time.

~Richard

I operate a gold/silver store that accepts bitcoins, it's called BitCoinCommodities.

I am currently trying to assess the need / viability for a silver "savings plan" (kinda like a GOLD IRA).
If the offer should be accepted by critical number of people, I'd like to automate the process.

Feel free to chime in [ here ], as well.

Cheers

Hello!

We're a new startup company that will be offering Managed and Unmanaged Dedicated Servers, and other online hosting solutions (such as Shoutcast/VoIP/Gameservers) in exchange for the Bitcoin currency.

The website address has been chosen to be http://www.bitservers.co.uk

As you can see, the above is heavily under construction.

We've paid out of pocket so far to have a professional layout built, and I am in the process of integrating everything with WHMCS and building a reliable Bitcoin module to process payments automatically.

Everything should be online and ready to sell within the next 5-7 days.

I hope I have provided enough information to become whitelisted.

Thank-you.

Hello,

I am a founder of cloud computing based Software as a Service (SaaS) -business. I've been followed new posts to thread "Idea: P2P cloud computing business" because I got the same kind of idea. I am working with very modern cloud computing software and I know it is not just a hype, especially when we can implement this kind of ideas to the market and share the profit. I have discussed about this idea with engineer worked in Nokia Corporation and he thinks too this is possible to build. If it really is, I have a connections also to private investors and to development funding that my country public sector may offer. :-) I think some offshore company for example in Hong Kong could be the solution to incorporate in the near future when we know the technology can be build.

But because I have only followed the discussion, I am now stucked. Can't connect to these guys with great ideas! Can anyone admin help me to give me rights to post and send IM? Thank you very much!

Hi!

We're a 2-people startup (designer+coder) doing videogames. We'll release soon a 2.5D game for Android. Among other projects, we're doing a virtual world oriented to cooperative game development (think of second life but much better done, and more in a P2P fashion). I've been planning this project for years, did a lot of tests but didn't start "for real" until very recently. So far the engine is working on win32, linux 32/64, osx, android (on devices with OpenGL ES 2.0) and I'm working right now on networked Python scripting.

Some days ago I found about bitcoins and got very excited for 2 reasons: I want my platform to be as distributed and inherently secure as possible and bitcoin implements some ideas I've already thought of time ago; and I want bitcoin to be the official currency of the virtual world, as I won't have to worry about setting up a payment platform. After learning intensely about bitcoin for the past days, I have some questions.

Also, I'm confident I can contribute a bit of experience/knowledge to bitcoin development.

Hi.

I am a coffee roaster.  Aureum Coffee Roaster is in the Pacific Northwest.  Specialty coffee is my calling.

Trying out this e-commerce thing.  Doing business without going through tax payer supported banks sound interesting.

New to this so bear with me.  Thanks.
