I offer advanced Python programming. I work on a task-oriented basis: Name a price for a task, and I'll do it if it's reasonable.

Especially talented in performance-optimized Python that's both incredibly readable, and almost as fast as C (generally 90% as fast (in CPU time, obviously), +- 15%) using PyPy, Cython, and other alternative interpreters. Using well-documented code and introspection, even a non-programmer can customize my work fairly easily.

I am particularly skilled at creating frameworks. For example, I have written a pure-Python, fully modular HTTP(s) server and framework specifically designed for modern AJAX web apps, truly separating content from presentation.

I have an agorist business directory called Black & Yellow Pages. Users are sponsored onto the list and connected by one-way trust links so you can see how many "degrees of trust" you are from another user.

It has been profiled by Cypherpunkd on Agorist Radio.

Listing your specialties is free, and if you include "bitcoin" in the tag list a bitcoin icon shows up in your listing. (You can also include 'gold' and 'silver')

Any current user can sponsor others, so you need to get in touch with someone like Plato, who's a regular around these boards for an invite.

Or, just PM me and I'll see what I can do for you.

I've been providing liquidity on 6 different BTC exchanges over the past 3 months.

I'm currently writing a for-fun website / service that when you send BTC to it, it will randomly send 2x back or nothing.

Also, I'm starting a real-world taxi-shuttle service and I'd like to accept BTC as payment (even if I know I'd be lucky to get a single customer who pays BTC...but nonetheless I'm trying to spread the word).

As an aside, I do kind of resent having to write this kind of brown-nosing comment when I'm just trying to help the community, and I'm sure there are many others who think the same.  (I hope this candidness doesn't act against me.)

Why are most of these ideas all about BitCoin?  ie: My business is to start a BitCoin this, or a BitCoin that.

What about a business "run" by the BitCoin community (and others), that sells it's products in fiat, and revenues are converted to BitCoins?

Unfortunately there does seem to be more businesses that involve Bitcoin itself rather than simply being a merchant that accepts Bitcoin as a form of payment.  I just launched btcmerchants.com in order to put together a detailed directory for merchants that accept bitcoin and although the site's only been live for 5 days, already it seems like there's more bitcoin related sites than regular retail merchants.

If you are a retail merchant submit your business to btcmerchants.com to promote your site

Hiya -

I'm a developer and a crazy person, so I ended up here. I think it's only natural, really.

I am probably going to work on the trading and automation side of Bitcoin and other emerging currencies. I'd love to have been here a few months earlier when mining was easier to profit from. That stuff is fun and  I would have enjoyed building some crazy ass rigs with a purpose.

I can and will give advice freely about a multitude of topics relating to technology, where I have some measure of authority. Economics too, where I have only the authority in my imagination, will, also be freely given, beware!  I'm pretty keen on doing *something* businessy with bitcoin. If you're looking for a development partner for your stupid idea, let me know. You'll have to sell me though.

I'm interested in creating a bitcoin mining company. I am a very experienced Linux system administrator (my day job is managing HPCC systems), so I feel I am very qualified to build and manage mining rigs. I also have a computer lab in my basement, with plenty of power supplied for a respectably sized operation (5 dedicated 15A circuits, excellent cooling and heat evacuation). Not to mention I work from home, so there's always someone here to reboot miners when they go off in the weeds.

My idea is to sell shares of the company on the GLBSE, using the funds from the IPO to purchase additional mining hardware. Return 50% of profits (after utilities) to the shareholders and use the other 50% to fund continued growth until I reach the limits of the power available in the computer lab. After that, return 75% of the profits to shareholders and use 25% to fund upgrades to the hardware.

Also would like to offer my system administration skills for bitcoins, if anyone's interested.

Howdy;

I run a marketing company, we've been around since 98 and have been providing hosting solutions to our clients since around 04. As a result, we have acquired a decent amount of dedicated servers.

I am willing to provide hosting plans in exchange for bitcoin's.

I have absolutely no problem setting up accounts first so you can make sure it's exactly what people need. Most of our boxes are running Fedora and ALL have either Plesk or Cpanel/Fantastico web based control panels [one click automated installation of all the popular php scripts, automatically updated all the time, easy account management/mail setup/subdomains etc]. Shell access can be provided if absolutely necessary.

My two services are BTCMerchants.com and BTCMA.com.

One is a detailed and stream-lined directory of businesses and merchants who accept bitcoin as a form of payment and the second (which hasn't launched yet) is the official Bitcoin Merchants Association which will gather helpful resources for bitcoin merchants and provide a network of support for all businesses involved in Bitcoin.

The keys to Bitcoin's success are awareness and support from local and online businesses, and we hope to promote that with these two sites.

I am starting as an online programming tutor and will definitely support Bitcoin as one of payment options.

Go to tools/prices and you'll see accepted payment options...

Would not mind being whitelisted so that I can post in services section of the forum Smiley

I'm starting 2 BTC as payment businesses/services.

1) I'm going to be start selling limited edition fine art, archival quality prints, for $ and BTC.  http://xperi.me/ntal

2) I've invented a special martial arts self-defense tool. Handmade, they'll run around $25. I'm going to have adds in black belt magazine, and I'll be noting I accept BTC.

Anybody know of a good cart/backend to accept BTC? I've been too focused on my content/development to investigate this further.

We are going to introduce a new currency exchange in the next few days, https://coinzexchange.me
It allows trading all current "bitcoin forks" <-> BTC. We are currently still hard working on the site.
