Hi - we're DataDiscretion - we are offering a security solution for BitCoin wallets!

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Please see below! Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

Security seems to be a bit of a problem for Windows users.
We have come up with a solution using our ‘DiscreetKey’ product – all it requires is an additional download on your part.
Here’s how it would work after the initial set up:

•   Insert your DiscreetKey into your computer (via the USB port)
•   A padlock icon will appear on your screen
•   Simple drop the wallet file onto the padlock icon
•   Your wallet is now encrypted and the BitCoin application starts.

You can now use the BitCoin program as usual. When you exit the program your wallet is automatically re-encrypted. The wallet file encryption is highly secure (256 Bit AES with one-time password) and can be backed up (via e-mail, cloud computing services, etc.).

We expect the final product will cost around 3 BitCoins – this includes the physical DiscreetKey and KeyMaker as described on our website http://datadiscretion.com/products/discreetkey

What do you think?

We would appreciate any ideas!

Offering webhosting (Shared, VPS, Dedicated). Sadly, my current payment terms do not allow me to accept bitcoins... Yet. Also offering dedicated mining computers, or general GPGPU servers, with more custom payment terms, including the possibility of BTC. General IT consulting also available. Electronstorm.ca for generic hosting options.

What's up coin community?

Long time listener, first time caller. I'm an applications engineer, and I've started making some BTC related stuff over the last couple months. Figured I'd see if anyone has any interest in a shopping cart that lets local merchants accept payment in bitcoin for cash-in-hand style transactions. Or interest in an e-wallet interface for your local bitcoin client. Or an exchange babysitter that shuffles BTC/USD(or whatever) depending on market fluctuations to yield ~5% returns on active trading days. Or any one of the many things I've made related to BTC. So, you should go ahead and white-list me and I'll start taking some feedback from the community as far as what I should build next.

I'm not sure this qualifies as a business, since I intend for it to be a one time event.  I'd like to post to the Goods board about selling a set of printed parts to build a RepRap 3D Printer.

I am here as a developer and will be representing btchash-dot-com which provides btc web tools to the greater bitcoin community.  You can see an in progress preview of the Hardware finder application by visiting  http://btchash.com

The web application is aggregating data from various vendors to help find those hard to find GPUs...

There are currently more tools being developed and will be released shortly.

Would like very much to partner with an established exchange service to support developing Asian economies, such as Vietnam where the population is highly tilted towards the youth and a real interest to make things free and transparent. Being locked to the dollar and watching your Dong inflated away year after year and have no legitimate alternative except buying massively overpriced gold deposits makes Bitcoin in Vietnam not only an interesting idea but an enormously intoxicating one.

Sorry about that ... but I'm afraid the the current BitCoin implementation is not suitable for a national currency for countless reasons.
Anyway ... there are some very interesting things BitCoin pointed out so i DO encourage you to study it (and some real life economics books too ... it will help you find how to integrate/adapt the "BitCoin concept" in your country economy.

Ciao.

I am here to start a bitcoin mining rig business. I have at my disposal access to a supply of 5830's gd65's and 70's, and other components to sell bitcoin mining rigs for US dollars, or bitcoin equivalent.  I am an avid supporter of bitcoin, and I have been actively mining for about a month.

Thank you!

Long live bitcoin!!

I'm a senior software engineer and I'm here to help transforming the "BitCoin concept" in something really useful.

And as an answer to the terraforming guy quoted here:
The BitCoin in its present form will not have a very long life! Now it needs more brain injection and less mining equipment (there is enough power in the network) to survive as something useful.

I would like to open a short term yet very high volume thread in the goods section.

All stock will be checked before being send out.

I'd much rather sell my stock directly to the community, I can provide verification if requested.

Thank you,
Nick
