Hello,

I have been using bitcoin for some time now as a miner. I am rated at http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=quellhorst&sign=ANY&type=RECV

I plan on updating the site abtain.com to accept bitcoin for payments for posts among other things.

Professionally I am a web developer since the mid 90s and plan to create several new web services related to bitcoins.

My plan for the forums is to help others and get feedback on my bitcoin experiments.

Hi Guys,

I've read many posts in this forum and thought about: hey, why not create a mining pool. So I did :-) If there are some guys who want to join in, here's my address: http://www.bitcoin-server.de . Oh yeah, I've forgot to tell, that I'm from germany, in my opinion there are to less mining pools in germany, or off course to less mining pools with native german speakers...

My development knowledge reaches from html, javascript, php over sql and mysql to java, c#, visual basic .NET, a bit of c++ and even a bit of python.

Also if there are people who want to transfer knowledge from one pooladmin to another I'm very interested.

Best Regards.

Boris

i am a cakephp developer and working on a bitcoin plugin for my online shop right now
the plugin is open source MIT and the first tryouts can be seen here:
https://github.com/dereuromark/CakePHP-Payment-Plugin

if anyone is interested in joining in or knows PHP/CakePHP, feel free to help making this a solid plugin for webshops.
i think it will really help the community as it provides another payment systems for shop owners. the more shops the better for bitcoin Smiley
there are already plugins for other shop system like OtCommerce, but for pure PHP or CakePHP there is not much at all.

the basic idea is that the php script asks the daemon every few minutes about the pending payments.
if the payment is received with enough confirmations the callback fires which then sets the order to "paid".

Hi!

I'm a webdeveloper with a lot of time on my hand the next months, and I'd like do build something (a webservice maybe) that the bitcoin community can use. If someone has any ideas, please don't hesitate to contact me Smiley

The community desperately needs a fully function set of eCommerce plugins for WHMCS and HostBill to get BitCoin usable as a viable currency for buying goods and services.

Can you do that?
