It can survive this is what I believe after ten years and with big gap in dominance, Bitcoin is doing great at this point of time, it's the altcoins that cannot survive without Bitcoin, but it's better that there are altcoins around that has different features, it can serve other industries with their features and of course, we, investors like to have a lot of choices and options when investing.
you correctly say that altcoins cannot survive without bitcoin, but it is also true that bitcoin cannot survive without altcoins. think a little bit about what will happen to the market if all altcoins will die? people will simply no longer be interested in the cryptocurrency market and very few people will remain on it, and then only a very small number of people will also need bitcoin

Bitcoin can survive alone. Just like gold if the demand will be be going up then it there's no reason for it not to survive amd now. There are so many altcoins floating in the market we accept it or not that is how reality is going on. Bitcoin will still survive and can survive alone in the long run.

But how or what if no one would use it and then there are some good generation of money that are better than bitcoin? How do the bitcoin will survive alone?

Sometimes even if it is strong we can't say that it would be still here forever because there's a time that the coin would be ruin.
Well we can't say that but its possible, for now while no other created a bitcoin like ledger but who knows. Because of the advance technology. I still believe bitcoin is the best invention of digital currency that we are having right now. I might prepare in the future if other inventions comes along the market that might beat bitcoin.
for me bitcoin is the biggest invention in solving transaction problems. and although there is currently a fair amount of market competition between bitcoin and altcoin, the market is currently still siding with bitcoin and altcoin, which is currently still dependent on bitcoin price movements

Bitcoin has already experienced several crises in its short life, which means it has become even stronger. All other cryptocurrencies depend on bitcoin and are exchanged for it - this is the core in the construction of cryptocurrencies.

rarely does anyone hold one bitcoin, often everyone shares their portfolio in several parts, and bitcoin takes 20-30% in it. If he is there at all. I have seen many times that people trust altcoins more, in that altcoins can make larger Xs in growth than bitcoin. And you can focus on it, rise-fall, to compare with the behavior of your altcoins
altcoin can indeed make us rich faster now, if you buy Waves, Tomo, and INS you will get almost 100% profit, this is what traders and investors like, but the high dominance indicates that traders still hold large amounts of bitcoin
Yes, and altcoin investment is also the fastest way to get you to zero, altcoin investment is a very dangerous investment because the price of altcoin can rise and fall at any time. A few days ago I saw the collapse of Matic in just a few hours and thousands of other altcoins have collapsed 10-100 times in 2019, Don't be too greedy when you choose to invest altcoin. 95% of altcoin investors in 2019 are at a loss and the number of altcoin collapses will surely increase in the near future

I totally agree with you. Bitcoin plays a vital role on Cryptocurrency in every transaction but it needs support from Altcoins. Altcoins also gives a good option in diversifying your money in terms of investment. Putting your money on a single basket is not really a good idea. In terms of trading coins, some altcoins really makes Bitcoin norr profitable and vice versa.
altcoins now should not only be a tool of diversification for investors, but they should also support the technological development of the market that will help achieve the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in the world
It's not a tool to be used for diversification but about the technological development some altcoins have been doing it and it's still continue and you can take ethereum, credits, tron or even eos as example.
The majority of the altcoins are being used for speculation. Only the long term investor that used it as diversification.

That is because the crypto field has been divided into bitcoin and altcoin. then people have choices about their respective portfolios, now bitcoin and altcoin are already part of the crypto market and I think both have different roles in meeting market needs

can or does not survive alone i think it all depends on the adoption and support, when adoption continues to be done and of course support continues to be done for the growth of bitcoin that can be used and also beneficial for many things, so i think bitcoin can still survive but with the growth of the industry this continues to improve so at least bitcoin and other crypto will at least continue to strive to be the best and will surely survive for a long time
Since the adoption of altcoin, the growth of crypto world is increasing, but in retrospect the current market conditions already need each other bitcoin or altcoin already have their respective users but so far in fact altcoin is more dependent on bitcoin movements

If they develop something crypto in my opinion the price or price increase is greatly influenced by everyone here. You can see how many junk coins are stacked in the purses of people who play in the crypto world.

Pantek Talacuik you are responsible for your portfolio, if you are choosing wisely coins you invest in, your portfolio will be without
junk-coins! It's the same for all others. Junk-coins will go to zero, the ones that worth now will worth more in the future.
I think Bitcoin and alt-coins created crypto-ecosystem. I think it would be a problem for us if we would have to use only Bitcoin,
or to use just alt-coins and not Bitcoin. It's not the point in surviving alone, it never was. Point is in creating ecosystem that will
work for all the people in the world, Bitcoin together with alt-coins is doing that.

I once did the same thing by believing in some Altcoins that grew last year but with 2019 like this it keeps bad things going and seeing coins that I expect to be worthless.
So many time it use to happen and we will have to face it because else we have nothing as we know rise and fall both are part of crypto investment and we should believe in ourselves. Bitcoin is my only priority to invest in and I hope for the best always so if it falls i Know it will again rise and will make profit for me so I never lost my trust on abilities of bitcoin.

difficult for new altcoins to mass adoption, you can see there are more than 4900 coins or tokens listed out there, maybe that can be used as bulk adoption maybe only coins or tokens that are good, like ethereum, waves, neo, eos, if for binance I think they have proven
The new coins that keep on releasing every other day hardly effect the old coins and investors. People who have been in the market for long or truly understand the concept of crypto coins, definitely cherish bitcoin regardless of what altcoins are doing. It is bitcoin on which the whole digital market depends. Those holders who choose new coins over old ones always end up in regrets.

There should be more projects that support crypto as their main form of payment. When large retailers accept BTC and also altcoins as a form of payment and not just to dump it and transform it to fiat then the momentum for BTC and all altcoins will increase a lot.

Over 850 millions of people use alipay as means of payment mostly in china and i heard lots about wepay as well, i come to think of it that what if bitcoin was been used in their places instead? if alipay and wepay can get to where they are today then altcoins have all the chances of survival as well. Wepay and Alipay are just online payment solution, crypto can do better.

Real use cases plus real life working products, let these two be your main focus when picking altcoins to invest your money on, do not listen to those saying 'dump altcoins for bitcoin' when you are holding solid altcoins
I think, government has control over alipay or wepay payment. If Bitcoin takes this process than government can't control it. China government can't accept any payment process where they have no control. Although cryptocurrency is banned in China.
