I think it's normal if most people suggest to sell altcoin and replace it with bitcoin. because bitcoin is the main currency in cryptocurrency. and bitcoin is also always a reference for altcoin. when bitcoin falls, some altcoin bears will also experience a decrease. if we have limited capital then I also recommend investing in bitcoin only. but if we have a lot of capital I think it's okay to try to invest in altcoin. and suggest investing in the top 10 altcoins of CMC. the existence of altcoin makes the crypto market bigger and crowded.

Bitcoin can survive alone because it has done this before when it was first created without any other cryptocurrency in existence. Altcoins will rather struggle if Bitcoin dies because Bitcoin is what the world looks up to in other to make general comments on the entire crypto space.

Bitcoin should survive alone, bitcoin have more potential, recognition, acceptance and much awareness than other cryptocurrency, hands holding bitcoins are top notch people and world wide it is being speak about so with or without market I guess bitcoin would be able to stand firm and survive without any attachment of whatever. And also with time more people will buy bitcoin as some government like China are speaking good about bitcoin.
Bitcoin has a very good role in our lives and can exist alone without other help. In fact, this coin has never disappointed investors because the benefits of this coin bring us too much and anyone participating in this market will choose Bitcoin first. The future of Bitcoin is predicted to grow very high and I believe that legalizing this market will only be a matter of time.

Currently, China is planning to develop crypto and if it succeeds, this will be the biggest event for everyone. Of course we cannot use their coins but surely many other countries will start to create their own coins based on blockchain technology.

Bitcoin has always been the king of cryptocurrencies. But Bitcoin cannot stand alone because the cryptocurrency market needs competition, then the platforms make sense. If Bitcoin stood alone, it would be worthless.

Bitcoin does not need the help of altcoins because the coin is always very valuable in this market and any investor will have to buy Bitcoin when participating. I think Bitcoin's dominance will continue for several more years and altcoins will not have a chance to compete with Bitcoin during this time. In my opinion, appropriate capital allocation for investment and BTC should always be the most holding coin in this market.
Bitcoin needs altcoins but it has nothing to do with the price it has to do with the technology, at the beginning bitcoin was an experimental technology but since then it has become incredibly valuable, the developers working on bitcoin cannot take any chances now because if they do and their ideas are mistaken then bitcoin could fail and the whole market will fail with it, bitcoin needs altcoins to take risks and test new ideas and see if they work and any altcoin not doing that is not good at all.

in my opinion bitcoin can live alone, precisely altcoin which cannot live alone, because in most cases it's almost the same that when the price of btc goes up, altcoin also goes up. so I don't think that bitcoin cannot live without altcoin.
far this altcoin is still dependent on bitcoin in my opinion. because if you look at price movements, when the bitcoin pump altcoin starts the pump too. but if in the perspective of the market, altcoin it becomes one of the choices for traders. with many altcoins that can make trading more attractive to the public
This is the biggest truth of crypto coins’ world that all the altcoins highly depend on bitcoin for their performance and progress. If bitcoin is not going bullish, it is impossible for even the king of altcoins to prosper. People who understand this much are not losing faith in altcoins. The investors of crypto currencies must keep themselves prepare for all sort of situations and make bitcoin their priority.

yes you are right, bitcoin dominance will continue and altcoin will never be able to replace or compete with bitcoin dominance in the cryptoqurrency market. but the fact is bitcoin can live alone, it's just that the presence of altcoin can offset the price of bitcoin and nothing more than that.

Many support that altcoin is the only crypto currency that is independent from the first time it was created until now, while solid altcoin is the best only crypto pumper and has done many things for bitcoin and crypto so it always gives the best starting from ico paltform until the trade, bitcoin is currently still in further development to be able to survive and want to be supported globally all developed countries

Like I always say, to survive in this space, you have to ignore what people say and DYOR and when you are convinced about any coin you have invested in, stick to your guns and don't let another person's opinion sway you, ofcourse bitcoin has done well but some Altcoins are doing better and I believe that it's an Altcoin that would eventually lead to mainstream cryptocurrency adoption.
Doing your own research should be the minimum standard when it comes to deciding if we invest in a coin or not but as you may guess that is not the case and many decide to invest in coins based on what they read on social media, however I do no agree when you say that an altcoin is going to be responsible for the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies, if you were to ask a person outside of this forum for the name of a cryptocurrency I can assure you that almost 100% of them will answer bitcoin.

It's true that Bitcoin is still struggling for the survival purpose, I think it's not easy to make established without the legal status, another important thing is that the government's approval When your government doesn't approve your project then definitely the worth value will decrease towards people. so it's very difficult to stay alone in this system because there are a lot of cryptocurrencies in here, I think Bitcoin and another cryptocurrency will get approved within very soon and then cryptocurrency platform will be the most used currency for the payment method, So those days are not so long.

not depending actually, it would be more appropriate if bitcoin influences the altcoin market. not dependency because there is altcoin that can do their pumps. but the effects of bitcoin price movements can make the altcoin market follow the move of bitcoin. but the function of altcoin is indeed very influential in trading and increasing bitcoin adoption in the market. when trading on the market increases, the value of bitcoin will get better with an altcoin exchange rate that increases.
Bitcoin is the best choice it has so many benefits and we should invest our money in bitcoin it’s really reliable. In the case of investing in more than one coin, I like to buy ETH as it’s really good and having a good future almost the same as bitcoin. But sometimes  I buy bitcoin only but I never felt unsafe to invest in bitcoin and buying any other coin with it is totally optional for me.

I also know about your advice, like (removing altcoin for bitcoin) actually it's not a bad idea because we know that bitcoin always dominates the crypto market and is highly recommended for investment. but I personally have high potential altcoin such as ETH, BNB, EOS & LTC. so I will not sell it, because before investing in altcoin above, I already have a BTC investment first.

altcoin could have gone up with the efforts of the pump they made themselves from a planned update that made altcoin requests increase. but without the support of bitcoin on the market, it will not last long and most likely will not get the maximum pump and then go down quickly.
although the price correction is reasonable, if bitcoin can increase and be stable I think altcoin can make price-stable after the pump is done.

Real use cases plus real life working products, let these two be your main focus when picking altcoins to invest your money on, do not listen to those saying 'dump altcoins for bitcoin' when you are holding solid altcoins

Altcoins hasn't impressive the community for the past 22 months so you can understand why majority of the community members are advising to dump altcoins for bitcoin. Although the cryptocurrency market is very unpredictable so the final decision should be yours to make. Invest only money you're ok with lossing but don't invest with the mindset of losing. Always own some bitcoin but don't underrate the altcoins.

as you have said that almost 2 altcoin seasons have lost their value, a weak market situation can also affect the price of altcoin including bitcoin. as a wise investor take 2 good choices, between bitcoin investments and also some altcoin that has further price developments

basically bitcoin will always be supported by altcoin. it is proven when the price goes up because of ICO, or IEO. people sometimes buy bitcoin for their altcoin needs or their projects. so, when bitcoin is not supported by altcoin, I doubt the price will be this high and has this high function.
But before born Altcoin, we can see that Bitcoin can really stand alone without the support of Altcoin,
so I judge if Bitcoin doesn't need Altcoin to increase the price. Altcoin was born only as an alternative if you want to trade in online.
Yaps, I think it's a matter of price. an altcoin is supporting bitcoin prices to be higher, and better to date. because of this, bitcoin always influences the price of an altcoin. Unfortunately, altcoin won't survive without bitcoin. imagine, when bitcoin is no longer reliable, and the price is a very low dump, I think it will make altcoin at a greater disadvantage.
So far altcoin has a low level of trust from investors so, it is very possible if someday altcoin will experience a weakening price that can even reach $0 and this is caused by altcoin developers themselves who indeed implement a lot of ICO is only for the action of raising money and not developing altcoin This is true, so it makes investors very fraid to invest in various altcoins, in contrast to bitcoin, although it often experiences a price fall and then re-experiences a price revival, moreover institutional investors' interest is higher and makes the price of Bitcoin will continue to surge, so that this possible if bitcoin will can survive without altcoin.

Despite the fact that most of altcoins is still heavily dependent on bitcoin's price movement doesn't mean that the altcoin could not survive alone. maybe if bitcoin is gone the altcoin will adapt to the circumstance, you need to consider the fact that there's stablecoin aswell. Also, Bitcoin could survive even without alts and it's already proven since the first emergence of bitcoin and there's no denying to that. It is just the market is not healthier since the market capital will probably become far smaller than it is now.
