You don't think people don't already use bitcoin with wepay and alipay? Now that china has banned bitcoin trading on exchanges with yuan, all of the trading volume has gone online underground, via groups who encourage people to just buy and sell directly to each other. Trust me, they are doing it, and paying with every possible method out there;)

Over 850 millions of people use alipay as means of payment mostly in china and i heard lots about wepay as well, i come to think of it that what if bitcoin was been used in their places instead? if alipay and wepay can get to where they are today then altcoins have all the chances of survival as well. Wepay and Alipay are just online payment solution, crypto can do better.

Real use cases plus real life working products, let these two be your main focus when picking altcoins to invest your money on, do not listen to those saying 'dump altcoins for bitcoin' when you are holding solid altcoins

It can survive alone, it's the altcoin that cannot survive alone, the Bitcoin dominance is eating all the altcoins in the market. but I love to see some altcoins surviving alongside Bitcoin, some of the altcoins I like surviving are Ethereum, Eos, Binance, Dogecoin I don't like to include those Bitcoin forks to survive.

I think it's very difficult, which one do you mean altcoin solid? Stable coins like USDT, USDC, PAX, etc. or like ETHEREUM, BNB, LTC, etc. for a stable coin, I still have hope, if one day it will be used officially. but for other altcoins, I doubt it. the reason is like bitcoin (anonymous, personal, decentralized, no middle man) and the main thing is the fluctuation of altcoin is 2-5x from Bitcoin. so the state won't allow that.

Actually bitcoin is very independent, because before altcoin appeared, bitcoin was already there. The emergence of altcoin itself was inspired by bitcoin, so that now more complete between bitcoin and altcoin, the exchange market is also increasingly popular with trading activities with a variety of coin choices. So that circumstances like this can increase the interest of traders to choose the coins they like.

thats right, and the OP was right with his opinion if bitcion can't survive alone
bitcoin need alts, and altcoin born because of bitcoin
i think this is very good relationship between bitcoin and altcoin, except shitcoins  Wink

Few years after the launch of cryptocurrency, the second coin I ran was also launched. This was done because there was need for it. Had it been it was not need, then it would not have been accepted. This even came alongside with fundraising and subsequently, other altcoins were launched and gradually, cryptocurrency started becoming more popular.
So, one of the main reasons might be its popularity.

Bitcoin can't survive alone. Just as USD or EURO, they work together for the stability of the financial market. This brings about competition. This Since the estimation of every currency depends on their financial quality. Currency is exchanged between people, if Bitcoin is the only crypto, it will make it be in more request (expanding its worth) than another. But the presence of Alts aids the fluctuation of Bitcoin thereby spreading the worth among other currencies.

in my opinion what the OP says is aimed at the Bitcoin market sector. Yes, obviously it's difficult to compete with this biggest coin, after all, for the problem of bitcoin payment is superior in my opinion, because it is very easy, safe and reliable. but people are more focused as an investment business in the crypto world. altcoin is a sector to make bitcoin grow even bigger as we know it today. there are many other platforms to support bitcoin, so it is appropriate that bitcoin cannot live alone or need a supporting sector.

basically bitcoin is independent then it becomes an inspiration for many developers to make it too, more developments are needed by humans so i think altcoin can help it with the platform they make and now crypto investment is getting more and people interested in bitcoin and altcoin is a good place for investment.

Yes, Bitcoin is independent, it can stand on its own, although Altcoins plays a big role in the crypto world, it's a big help in the world, as Bitcoin becomes more famous because of altcoins.

But for 11 years, despite of thousands of crypto in the world, still Bitcoin remains the king and number on in the crypto world.

Absolutely yes, Bitcoin cannot handle the numbers of it.lovers if it was to be use for payment platform by those who love it existence. Bitcoin is been celebrated because of it case use and being the first survival digital currency. The issue here is that, people are scared of holding the coin for a longer period because of it volatility. Altcoins are also another means to have the future if they'd choose wisely among the rest. Bitcoin cannot live alone, survive alone it need altcoins.

added it could be a way for crypto to get space in the world online as a new payment method. after that crypto will be more easily accepted. In addition, another benefit is crypto that can survive and also improve the quality or excess of the product in the market and also the real product can work well.
Maybe that is true because any other cryptocurrency have different platforms and blockchain technology that has different use and help. So I think the subject is somehow correct. The more project that succeeds the more help and innovation in different kinds of use. Just like the transaction, there are lots of projects that are making their system or device if they have one faster and secure. They have also different features depending on the focus of their project. Every project have their focus on what they want to innovate either the transaction or wallets and any other platform that they can innovate using their blockchain technology.

Bitcoin enthusiasts (I am one of them) tend to forget one very important fact... Bitcoin does not have the scalability for massive worldwide adoption considering the fact that it can only handle about 7 TPS (Transactions Per Second) last time I checked, so anybody saying that bitcoin can survive alone is basically saying that Cryptocurrencies would never achieve worldwide adoption, as much as it pains me to say, Altcoins are likely what would help us achieve that and we have to be open minded, this doesn't mean that you should invest in every shitcoin out there, DYOR and be very careful to avoid loses.

Bitcoin doesn't need altcoin to survive, bitcoin has been in existence before the creation of altcoin. Almost all altcoin needs bitcoin to survive presently. Altcoin price keeps decreasing and some are turning to shitcoin while bitcoin keeps staying at the top. Bitcoin is a well known cryptocurrency that attracts big investors globally without the help of altcoin. Altcoin is known today is because of bitcoin existence

that's because bitcoin is one of the biggest coins among other cryptoqurrency, bitcoin always dominates the crypto market and becomes a profitable investment in every period. As you can see when the price of bitcoin exploded in 2017, many investors have just started to take part in investments there until now, so I think bitcoin is a profitable investment and altcoin is an alternative investment besides bitcoin.

crypto already get space in the world online as new payment method at several merchants, maybe it has not yet become a mass payment but crypto already has its own market. I see there are already several token projects that aim to be payment options and work normally and still survived until now, example Pundi X.

Although bitcoin can survive on its own but altcoin still contributes greatly in the crypto world, at least 33% in coinmarketcap are transactions conducted by altcoin.

I agree that bitcoin cannot dominate the cryptocurrency market alone. Investors will not risk their funds only for bitcoin and they need alternative investments to reduce the risk of one of which is altcoin. It's true that if we already have a solid altcoin in terms of liquidity and also products, I think we can hold it for the long term

I think bitcoin and altcoin complement each other, especially if you hold the highest altcoin then there is no need to worry about investing, it's just that you need to be patient while waiting for the market to recover, unless you hold bad altcoin, then discard and replace with altcoin which is better than before. .
you can’t be sure of the altcoin if it even enters in the top 10. large-capitalization does not guarantee that this coin will remain in this market and survive, and therefore you should always know what is happening inside the project

I believe Bitcoin can survive for long time without any other alternate cryptocurrencies. It happened and that is the reason we are here with these much amount of cryptocurrencies in the marketplace.
If there is no Bitcoin these things might not happened and we need to think in that way only.
Then we people need to check out the volume and circulation of other coins with Bitcoins to compare yourself.

Only if lots of country have their own stablecoin paired with Bitcoin. Yes, then some altcoins will be useless since people from their country can monetize or trade btc with their own money. That's is actually the efficient part on btc, which altcoin can match up but still far from it. I like altcoins cause they are useful but on global economic scale, btc no doubt will out run them.

Like I always say, to survive in this space, you have to ignore what people say and DYOR and when you are convinced about any coin you have invested in, stick to your guns and don't let another person's opinion sway you, ofcourse bitcoin has done well but some Altcoins are doing better and I believe that it's an Altcoin that would eventually lead to mainstream cryptocurrency adoption.
