download the bgoldd and run it, don't worry there is no blockchain, so its just a "git clone", and then run, then

type "bgold-cli getnewaddress"

This bgoldd doesn't do anything, like it does support "gettemplateblock" so it can't be used for mining, its hard coded to only work in -testnet mode

Then you will have your address, your address, do not accept one from a 'wallet' site.

Oct 25 'fork' came and went, nov-1 came and went, still no software, no block, no wallet and no gui, not much of anything, but promises

If you got to Shatoshi labs GitHub, it has a list of coins who have applied for a BIP44 coin key and their coin number. BTCG registered and got number 156. Now just grab your private key, mnemonic phrase, and first couple public addresses. You're good to go. If you do it correctly your public addresses should begin with an A or a G.

Edit: Also, the coinomi generator can be saved locally and used without any internet connection to generate paper wallets for many coins on a non internet connected PC for complete safety! Yes it's garbage coin and if you are talking about why and it caused by the bitcoin gold was containing a lot of the pre mined token just like garbage coin. So, there is no difference with the garbage coin. I think you can see some or a lot of people are accused that garbage.

It's perfectly normal taken into account numereous forks that happened/are about to happen. People see they are printing money out of nowhere, and that these kinds of forked coins are worthless. I'm actually surprised to see it at over $130, as soon as they become available for trading (in real form, not as futures), I believe we will see it around $20-30.

Every potentially new and possible good coin have team that is always to greedy to have more for free.
This is the typical case from my perspective they will have more then you think and many are falling into this trap.

Just hope that when bitcoin gold fully functional dont be price less then at least 3 digits for early adopters.

great news. but im not sure yet about this coin. we knew for sure this. coin was in the past. it had a great fluctuation yet its so supicious. it rise termendously and its fall deep down later. so if its mining able maybe what happen in the past would not happen again

Currently bitcoin gold is on test mine stage, you can mine but you cannot get anything since they are just testing
wallet are on the btg website link, ive tested the site as of the moment its ok but, be aware, all miners are waiting
and ready to jump on the boat of btg, in slack they are so eager to start, and that is not a good news for small miners
we just need to wait until when the dev are ready to face the wrath of the gpu's
i the first week of mining when it goes live will be bloody, and full push the difficulty like never seen before
im sure it will happen
