Is there any way of exploring Bitcoin addresses to see if there is any Bitcoin Gold associated with them?

I was moving BTC from various paper wallets around the time of the snapshot to my Ledger but I'm damned if I can find the right address with my Bitcoin Gold.
At the minute it's costing money to sweep wallets into Coinomi to check so was hoping there is another way  to see where they are.

Disclaimer: it is understood that you'll be handling privvy keys not holding any BTC amount, as an extra safety measure.
FIRST: Send the whole BTC amount of the wallet holding BTC at fork time (24 of October) to another local wallet of yours on another PC.
Once done that, export the privvy keys from the original wallet. BTC won't be stolen.
If you don't understand what I'm talking about you'd better keep off.

1)Use Bither to import keys. It will tell you if a key holds a BTG amount. For free when I did. I guess it is still so.

2)Then send the amount to Bitpie's BTG address (after having created it).
This needs to be done for every single imported privvy key.
It will be considered as a transaction on BTG's blockchain, thus a fee will have to be paid, obviously enough. One tx for each privvy key. Sent from Bither to Bitpie's BTG address.

3)Finally, choose your exchange supporting BTG and send the BTG total from Bitpie to the BTG wallet of that exchange. Of course if you don't want to hold BTG.

That worked perfectly! Thanks very much.

At first, I thought it was just another coin but after a few days it went up absurdly and still keeps going up in value every day. But this show I'm going to watch from the audience because I do not see a very prosperous future for this coin and its fans.

For now, I'm here to accompany it to watch all its outcome. BTG is a very good currency to invest inn for now as its price is also increasing and there are many new investors coming and joining this community.

The coin value keeps going down. It has been in a steady state of decline. Are you watching the same coin?

I see lots of ppl having questions about how to import keys and claim BTG...
Why just now inform yourself before the fork and if exchange support the fork, just leave your BTC on there and you'll be credited with new coin automiticaly.

Did they also do this with bitcoin cash?

Also are they going to do it with bitcoin diamond and all those other forks later on?

Because if they are, isn't it good idea to move your btc to bittrex instead just so you don't have to go through the process of having to claim the bitcoin fork etc?

Not a good idea at all: see what happened to Nicehash  Roll Eyes

EDIT:
As far as Bitcoin Diamond is concerned the snaphot had been taken already at November the 27th so moving BTC to any exchange now is completely meaningless.

Can some body tell me did bittrex supported bitcoin gold fork or not?

yeah it did, Bittrex awarded equivalent BTG to all holders of BTC at the time of the fork, when BTG got listed on their exchange.

I hope to see this on polo soon as I would like to sell my BTG if they ever release it. It's just another fork that was just about making money from. It holds no purpose other than a clone of bitcoin.

Two weeks ago I was thinking too about btg, but after first btc correction I have seen at this coin its  a no alternative for btc dumps... Probably it will die soon.

They already made their money and multiplied their capital, I mean main supporters of bitcoin gold thing. I don't thnik they will care that much about BTG anymore.

The BTG, was not the lats fork of the pioneer blockchain. Exceeding all market expectations once again, Bitcoin surpassed the US $ 16,000 mark this week in anticipation of its debut in the futures market which, as we have reported here, may not be a good thing in the medium term for the coin. In addition, positive news has surrounded the currency as the first tests of the Lightning Network a solution for the scalability of Bitcoin, in addition, more financial institutions have announced that they will list future negotiations with the currency, increasing its credibility and its interest by the large players in the financial market.
So much success, did even arise a "God" among the cripto-coins, in fact, "GOD", a new fork of Bitcoin, scheduled for the day, intentionally, December 25.
