Bitcoin will surely have competition in the future.probably it will be ethereum as it has the 2nd in ranking in terms of prince. But these are just pure speculation. We can just wai and see the future.
I see the competition is always here. There is still a lot of high-value virtual currency behind the bitcoin. But bitcoin is still king and I keep investing in it and will get a lot of profit soon
Bitcoin is far by the most adopted cryptocurrency by peoples and business because he is here for a long time. But the most important aspect is always an additional value of a product and regarding technology Bitcoin isn`t best compared to some other coins like Ehereum or Ripple. I think Bitcoin will be replaced by a technologically better coin.

The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.
Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. All crypto currency including bitcoin compete to get a good place in the market. Even bitcoin as the leader of crypto currency also has a heavy rival. If bitcoin can not make innovations and improvements then I am sure that the position of bitcoin as a leader of crypto currency could be shifted other crypto currencies.
I will only say that bitcoin has a heavy rival when the dominant of bitcoin will decrease. Right now, bitcoin is still holding the over 40% dominant rate, which means any move of bitcoin will affect the entire market.
I can say that BITCOIN has no rival, there are no competition with BTC.

Yes bitcoin has no competition because bitcoin goals only is to help many person and not make them feel competition. I think other currency only thinks that there is a competition because they wanted to be better than bitcoin.

I don't agree that bitcoin lacks competition, but I agree that people are too quick to declare that bitcoin will die or lose its top position. Even during the scaling issues bitcoin proved itself to be a good store of value for savers.

Yes Bitcoin is no competition, it an easy to make some money ,but we have some competition you refer to is mostly because Bitcoin price has become more stable as of recent, no more devastating volatility as it had been just a couple of years ago
in the begging i think bitcoin had no competition, because it was new on the market. now there are so many more crypto cuurencies, while bitcoin may still be ahead question is for how long
I am not utilizing some other digital currency right now, yet I don't consider any them will ever overwhelm bitcoin. Its the standard of all, its like cash presently, do you see cash contending with something else? I truly don't see that. So I feel bitcoin will hold it possess in the market and would presumably continue developing.

I think that's reasonable enough that some altcoins get to compete with bitcoin because some investors are diving their investments and some other just turn to other altcoins because they think that altcoins are more profitable right now.
