Bitcoin maybe included in IT subjects as topics but I dont think its necessary to be included in curricullums as subject. Bitcoin is also considered currency,  and there's no specific subject for currencies. It might be helpful to students to augment in their financial problems.

For bitcoin, you really need to create training courses or study it in college. Only in my country it is not yet legalized and there is no possibility to train many people who need good earnings.

Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.
There may not exist courses in colleges about bitcoin but then i do know a website which offers to explain stuff related to bitcoin. Let me list that one out for anyone who needs help:- https://www.khanacademy.org/ ; this site offers so many courses for free and has videos for better understanding and learning. So good luck!

Studying bitcoin in college or at special courses will be a good idea to get more interested users in the crypto currency. Only a ban in some countries will not allow such an undertaking to be organized.

In my country bitcoin still not popular, there are few seminars about bitcoin but never taken seriously by the government, so to implemented bitcoin teaching is going to take a while, if a college is teaching bitcoin then it will be good for all the bitcoin users, it will add the popularity and the user and people will more understand about this coin

ha ha. I think it all depends on the government. because it is the government that holds everything, up the regulations and regulations that must be set in all circles. maybe the government is not yet 100% with bitcoin, so they prohibit the insertion of bitcoin materials to college or school.

I think it is an interesting idea. adding subjects about bitcoin into school. this will teach students to become online investors or online businesses that are very profitable and influential on their lives in the future. since the young age they are given business economics lessons so they can prepare themselves in the future. investing bitcoin one way to become a tough businessman .. they will try to invest bitcoin and benefit from bitcoin. it will make them earn income in the future.

Bitcoin can't be officially taught because it is not legalized worldwide and some actions would be taken against those who would teach about Bitcoin officially. And for those who are willing to know about Bitcoin, this forum is the best place . There are many topics where people ask doubts and hundreds of people answer them .

The use of Botcoin as a means of payment in schools is increasingly widespread. This time, the college of The King's College in New York, United States, announced they received payment with virtual currency Bitcoin, Friday (13/06/2014). Through a partnership with Coin.co, a company that facilitates Bitcoin transactions, The King's College allows students to pay tuition, donations, and other expenses with Bitcoin.

I have seen threads that have discussed the possibility of adding a new Crypto section to high school economics or a college/uni course. I would vote for something like that since right now a lot of jobs are being replaced by robots and newer things. The cryptocurrency world is a new version of ecomonics and people need to pay attention to it. If you would receive credentials from a college, backing that you, saying have knowledge in the crypto world, it could lead to better job opportunities. This would be hard to implement though since changing the curriculum of the entire education system would have to have heaps of support and a willing government to back it. Could be nice to see this implemented in the future though.

With the continuing interest which Bitcoin is gaining, I am sure that soon we can see many learning institutions to include the subjects of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology into their curriculum. Blockchain technology is representing a revolution and soon this revolution can go down to the application level where even schools can take advantage of.

Here in my country, there are already schools which accept Bitcoin as a form of payment so it is likely that students can get elbow-to-elbow with Bitcoin. I am waiting for a time where a critical mass of entrepreneurial young people can get excited with Bitcoin.

That what im talking about, nice to hear about that. The administrator of that schools has a wide understanding of value of bitcoin and might have thinking the advantage of it for student even learning about bitcoin just paying school pays. Soon those student will be in bitcoin.

I think rather than solely teach bitcoin as a subject in college, they should focus on teaching blockchain.
I say this because blockchain makes way for much more innovation and has infinite possibilities. Bitcoin is just one piece of the pie, wouldn't benefit students much to have a course dedicated to it.

I'm sure that in the next few years, Bitcoin will be part of the discussion in many classrooms. Because in almost a few years almost all businesses will be through Bitcoin.

It will be possible to engage or put bitcoin into college curriculum to be one of their core subjects to be taken up especially when it is related with the usage of modern technology because we all know that bitcoin is currently generated and accessed through technological mediums. But it might be not a necessary thing to do if still on your country bitcoin has not yet been legalize and also, the decision to put up bitcoin into college will be depending into their government specifically the department of education if they will implement the engagement of learning bitcoin anf using it into college courses.

What do you mean by inserting it in education? Like making a new subject for college students that is all about bitcoin? I think that is a bad idea, maybe it might be better just to have a lesson about it in their Economics subject. Just so that they could be aware of crypto currencies especially bicoin right? By learning the basic knowledge about bitcoin, it might give them ideas and opportunities that could turn their life for the better.

This is actually a good idea but I think before teaching this in school or offer it as a course the government need to legalize bitcoin first so that the students will be more interested in studying bitcoin. Maybe in the future we can see students study blockchain besides there is no impossible in this modern world.

In my country, right now still there aren't specifically bitcoin materials for students in college. However, now are many seminars discussing about bitcoin and have been held at major colleges in my country, of course it is very good to introduce bitcoin to the younger generation, as those who will continue the struggle to achieve bitcoin glory in the future.

If a country legalize bitcoin as one payment option maybe there are possibilities that  many will open a training program to educate people about bitcoin. As long that its not legalize there will be no programs about bitcoin.

In my opinion. It should just be a topic to any courses offered. Since learning about bitcoin for a very short time is possible and would not be practical to make it a course itself. Cryptocurrency should work all the same. Topics luke how it works, how did they make it, the programs needed and many more.
