For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.

I definitely think so as well. It is becoming more and more popular these days, thus many people are drawn to investing on it. Perhaps, one of the great factors that contributes to it's popularity is the advertisements that they put online. You can see bitcoin advertisements in Facebook and on Youtube as well.

Unfortunately at the moment this is impossible because many countries have blocked bitcoins because amount of dirty money which are spent through bitcoins are simply indescribable. The only thing that can contribute to legalizing bitcoins in all over the world is person identification in bitcoin system and then perhaps in future bitcoin will become number one currency in the world.

If way back in 2014, when this post was made, Bitcoin was already a global currency, how much more now that we are already in 2018. There must have already been a huge change in the market. And the change is surely for the better of Bitcoin. There will be more demands and transactions to come for sure because Bitcoin is now occupying a very important spot in the financial horizon around the world.
Well it is really a globel currency now a days because it can be used through different country as a good source of an extra income that is really profitable now a days i believe that bitcoin is really now getting more popular and maybe slowly it will be use by so many country because of its advantages.

South Korea has just banned trading/exchanging with Cryptocurrency. I suggest everyone to be careful as a lot of coins have fallen by a considerable percentage.

I'm not sure if bitcoin becomes global currency. It needs legality between countries to do just that.

Because bitcoin itself is not yet legal. Maybe bitcoin is not banned in some countries only bitcoin yet legal.

Bitcoin just as an investment as gold. which you can save and then you will benefit.

Maybe once, in the near future, bitcoin will become a global currency, but so far there is no legalization, no one can say that bitcoin is a currency, rather it is an investment and a bit successful for many bitcoins.

I think so as well. With what's happening around the world as people widely accept the whole idea of bitcoin being a sort of way to use for their payment and the fact that most people prefer to earn bitcoin rather than regular money gives justice to bitcoin being a global currency. Still, we have to wait and see for what might happen in the future.

I dont think so cause we all know there's a lot of country that didnt accept bitcoin in their own country. Like china. China creates its own cryptocurrency.  People nowadays had enough knowledge in bitcoin but not all people know what really is and how can bitcoin change their lives. many people are afraid in change so i probably can say that bitcoin will not become that global currency.

Bitcoin is indeed becoming a global currency. There is increase in the awareness level and lots of folks are now buying in and investing in the cryptocurrency. The previous negativity associated with Bitcoin is largely due to lack of knowledge and information about its workings, usefulness and processes. Globally, people are now investing in Bitcoin confidently.

The thing that makes me curious is the stock of 21 million bitcoin and 1 bitcoin containing 100,000,000 satoshi, and I think it would be a problem if bitcoin is used globally because a lot of bitcoin is lost and the stock can not be added anymore.

I will just make a simple correction in here; bitcoin is becoming a holding currency*
It will never be a global currency because no one can pay $20 for a single coffe because of fees. Do you?
I would never pay fees for a tiny transaction, that is why bitcoin is being considered as a holding currency, like gold.

hopefully this can happen in the world and implemented in various countries in this world, because now its era to digital currency like bitcoin and have not use paper money again, and hopefully this can be trigger price increase of bitcoin.
Bitcoin is growing because it's already use in different side of the world, we know that it has only limited supply so the result
would be a price increase. It's a global currency in the sense that is has no restriction and anyone who has money to buy it can use as a substitute for money to be use in online transaction.

I think it takes a long process and the full support and struggle of the various countries and the real needs of the whole society in many parts of the world, as long as it is under consideration and has not been legalized by an influential country.

Yes, Bitcoin is popularity increase day by day whole county in the world. Bitcoin is the mother coin all cryptocurrency. There will be a time when Bitcoin will become the world's global currency.
Since it’s was created, one of the main features of bitcoin is global currency. It’s all about countries that not support bitcoin that why bitcoin is not used in their countries and they only think that bitcoin could be a big threat to their centralized payment system. It’s all about acceptance. Bitcoin is for those people what to change the way how they transact their money and it’s open to all who was freedom. And the global implementation will be the huge target for bitcoin.

if bitcoin becomes global money then it will trigger an increase in bitcoin price will be very expensive because all want bitcoin, but that seems to be difficult because the availability of bitcoin is currently very limited and will make it hard to get.
