Bitcoin could become a global currency but it will take years, I really have no doubts about that its all a matter of time before it will happen.
The bitcoin is the future of all currency's because everything is gonna be digital plus it now already has a step ahead on other currency''s.
In my mind, Bitcoin has been already a global currency for many years. People are now using Bitcoin everywhere online, especially in some online marketplace. Thebot.net, mpgh.net, etc, all these places very very love Bitcoin. Even Steam has accepted gamers to use Bitcoin in order to buy games. It is wonderful, right? I hope that in the future, we will witness the Bitcoin adoption in many countries. It will be the most important event to Bitcoin.

I agree thay bitcoin is already a global currency. why? because when many people around the globe use bitcoin, it means that it is global currency. besides, many countries now accept bitcoin as a currency. so no doubt that bitcoin is global currency.
It seemed like a good idea, and certainly great fun when we're in any place can use the bitcoin so we don't get confused with the currency conversion or exchange rate. But the problem is that State regulation has still not approved the bitcoin. Of course a lot of rejection from official agencies to transact and accept with bitcoin.
yes, some countries do not accept bitcoin, because bitcoin does not give them an advantage. in addition, receiving bitcoin may also be a negative impact, but I do not believe it. today, many people are beginning to seek out and use bitcoin as a means of transaction and their business, and even if the government does not accept bitcoin, I think, bitcoin can become a global currency by itself
Besides, it is a matter of controlling function, bitcoin can not control so that if the rising or falling prices make confused. The Government indeed must establish that the transaction i.e. fiat money are fixed, not fluctuating as happen with bitcoin.

I believe it absolutely can become a global currency. All we need is more time to make bitcoin more understandable, easier to use, easier to adopt, easier to trust. Who knows how long until that happens, but when it does, it will cause a revolution.
Bitcoin’s rise is causing a global rethink of the concept of money. For thousands of years, gold was the currency of the land, and many of gold's qualities have allowed it to stand the test of time, printed money on the other hand showed that it cannot stand the test of time because it is corrupted, but bitcoin has the potential to become because it is similar to gold in many ways.

I agree thay bitcoin is already a global currency. why? because when many people around the globe use bitcoin, it means that it is global currency. besides, many countries now accept bitcoin as a currency. so no doubt that bitcoin is global currency.

Even though we are still not even 1% of the total world's population but I can see that bitcoin will be a global currency since its users are found in every region of the world. And that is making bitcoin more popular because we can simply use it no matter where you are in this world as long as you both are accepting and using it, it doesn't matter.
Just because you can use it in different countries does it not make it a global currency. I could make an altcoin and send two friends to two different counties to make some transactions. Would you call that an global currency? The problem is still acceptance. If it is not accepted everywhere then it is not a currency. I could walk all day today and would find no one that would take my Bitcoins as payment.

You have the point with that but the thing is bitcoin now being used by considering millions of users all over the globe. What you are expecting? Maybe you are wanting that bitcoin should be accepted first by all the people in the globe before it can be called a global currency? Bitcoin is already going there to be come a global currency a little by little.
The number of people using Bitcoin is still very low. It will increase little by little, but we have to be realistic here. It is not there yet. Just because i want to be a Movie Star and i have improved a bit and some people know me, does not mean i am a Movie Star already.

The potential people that might adopt bitcoin are only those who are business minded and has interest in online transaction, though it's easy to say that it will become a global currency but without the acknowledgement and support of the government it wouldn't be possible.

We need the media all over the world to cover us, so we can spread awareness to the people who has not heard of bitcoin yet.

Hey, we've gotten this far without the help of any centralized government, right? That's pretty impressive to me, isn't it to you too? Remember, bitcoin is still in it's infancy. Everyone can do their part by spreading awareness of bitcoin to make this revolution a reality.

With some time it can really achieve this, I think that the bitcoin is gonna be very profitable and that its a good investment right now too.

It could achieve it but some time.. it needs a lot more time than that, I think we are than still 10 years from that before it can really become something like that.

You are right but I still do not know a lot of countries that are seeing it as a real currency some do but this is just only a small amount..
We have our own opinion on what we call with our bitcoin, but with the definition of a law it's not considered as currency and we have to wait for the proper law regarding the usage of bitcoin, they will surely create now that we are growing.

Bitcoin can really become a global currency and we already witnessing its progress to that goal. Bitcoin has a very high potential to reach that label called 'global currency' and it will become easier for bitcoin if other people will start using bitcoin from now on. Promoting bitcoin on different sites can lead us to that.
The awareness of Bitcoin is rising, but the total number of user is still relatively small. The price is also rising, but at a much bigger rate. If the price will keep excelling the rise of the user base, then we will have a problem in the future.
Although the number of bitcoin user is small, there is a significant increasing in the number of people who start to use it. What problem we may face if Bitcoin prices are higher ? can you tell me details about what you are saying ? I do not think it is a problem at all. It is a great chance for Bitcoin become a real global currency

Why do not you want to see what Bitcoin has become an international currency. He took a major place in the lives of many people. And it can be used anywhere in the world
You can say that Bitcoin is an international currency, but just because it is not fixed to one nation. Internationally known and used it what many want, but we are not there jet. Not even close.  I can not use it everywhere, because only very few stores accept it. This is a crucial point.
People will soon accept bitcoin and there will be more Bitcoin shop for you to buy goods and daily need. In 2016, we have witnessed many events which strongly affect Bitcoin and make more people pay attention about it. In 2017, I believe more stores will allow customers to purchase with Bitcoin
And why do you think so? What is different in 2017 then 2016? So far only the price. If a shop owner did not want to accept Bitcoin for technical reasons in 2016, why would he want it know? Just because the price is higher?

yes, some countries do not accept bitcoin, because bitcoin does not give them an advantage. in addition, receiving bitcoin may also be a negative impact,

Bitcoin gives the advantage no matter how you use it. If you want security and fast transaction, bitcoin could provide it and there is nothing that fiat could do to beat except for the cheaper fee ( the fee is quite high nowadays with the price rising high ). Government just wont accept the fact that their fiat means nothing to bitcoin

BTC becoming global currency. bitcoins is gaining popularity day by day..

We are in quite an early phase here albeit it is hard to know this when you are 'inside.' It seems that in order for Bitcoin to reach a phase where units are small enough for use as currency we first need to reach one where it is deemed quite valuable, even if this means being spread downward from the early whales/miners/etc. We have actually seen some of this in action already since a lot of movement in Bitcoin has been contingent upon those early adopters not just hoarding, even if, from our perspective, they seem to hoard quite a lot.

It think it's still too early to say that Bitcoin is a global currency. The reason is not the fact that some countries restrict the use of it, since there are actually a few countries taking such measures.
The main reason, in my opinion, is that there is still a small percentage of people using the currency compared to the number of people around the globe. So, it's not yet a global currency, but I think we can say Bitcoin is on the way for this.

Bitcoin can be called a global currency in the sense that it is usable in any corner of the world, but in not the sense as you said of being used by all the world because we are still too far away from that, we are still not even 5% of world's population, so for becoming global in that sense, we still need years.
Well, I think Bitcoin have been already a global currency for many years but nobody want to accept that fact. Most of the people scared to use Bitcoin because they think it is illegal and not worth to try this new innovation. Nowadays, our world is rapidly developing and I believe they will soon realize the Bitcoins' benefits and people will use it in any corner of the world. This future, I believe is not very far
I love the "Bitcoin is a global currency, but nobody wants to accept that". Is it not part of the definition of a currency, that it is widely if not everywhere accepted?! If i go to a store and want to buy something, but i can only offer some wood stick as payment, then they will laugh at me and send me away. If i tell them that there are people who accept my sticks and that they cost $1000 each, then they will suggest to go there exchange them and come back to pay in real money.

What about a global financial asset then?

It is traded throughout the world for all major currencies out there (the US dollar, Euro, the Chinese Yuan, etc)? The homespun truth is, though, Bitcoin is not even a currency so far (let alone being a global one), but that doesn't take anything from it being universally "accepted" all over the world as a valuable asset in its own right. On the other hand, I don't think that with gold bars you would do much better than with Bitcoin, though gold is still considered as money by the most influential central bankers in the world
