I would rather stick to ETH. Their consistancy in price growth is decisive comparing to these two coins.
Key factor to choose ETH was knowing the fact that owner of this coin apparently "just got started" with further work. With few year plans that are about increasing involve in networks in following years to come.

For today, bitcoin loses its price from almost 20000 to 10000 dollars and ETH rises its price from 500 to 1000 dollars. Every price of every cryptocurrency fluctuates from low to high or from high to low depending on the situation. Bitcoin and Ethereum are both great coins and we cannot predict what will their prices will be. If I will be ask which one will I choose, I will choose bitcoin because it was the origin of all coins and even it loses its price, there is still a high chance to recover its price and make it double or greater. Just waiting the time that it will happen.
I prefer both bitcoin and ethereum because their are good in investments. Bitcoin and ethereum are the most promising coin than other currencies because their are most valuable in cryptocurrency. From now the price of bitcoin become lower but I'm still support for it. I think fron now I choose to work in ICO because the price of ethereum get higher and higher like bitcoin.
I always choose bitcoin, because in terms of stability of exchange rate and its ease in exchange to other currency and never let me down 
both are excellent for investment. but if you want to make a profit then bitcoin is the right choice.

Ethereum
its ok if you buy both. but i prefer to buy eth because low in price
I think both will do well in the long run.
My 2 cents:
Bitcoin will always be the first cryptocurrency (first-mover advantage) and due to it being limited (and harder by the day to generate a new coin), will remain a highly sought-after coin.
Ethereum, thanks to its environment will, IMO, enjoy the most widely accepted milieu for the blockchain developers and entrepreneurs alike - NEO will give a tough fight to Ethereum but the latter will have an edge due to its maturity.

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum will go for shaping the world fully digital payment across the world. In less than 10 years everybody will see that 1 Satoshi will become 1 dollar.
For me both because they are important to me. And both of has a high value, but we all know bitcoin is higher but I use them both. I use bitcoin for investing ang I use ethereum for trading. Choose them both and manage wisely.
I think buying the ethereum more appropriate because these coins are more promising and more have the opportunity to go up in price. let alone the ethereum good for long-term investment, thus more accurately if the choice falls on the ethereum.
Take both, just allocate your funds, invest more with what is good and doing better in the market., learn to read the market so you will know what to do.

It always Bitcoin on the first hand. Now the price is 10000$ above. Look at the past year it is moved 10000$ on the past year and hope it will past 50000$ in this year. So it always better to keep bitcoin on hand.
My prediction for ETH is good, many of it's ICO have been very successful. I think it will go for 5k this or for the coming months, hope i'm right.
But i think Bitcoin will be staying on 11k support for now and is going to be tested.
I don't want to predict anything big but for the fast playing method i think if bitcoin reaches 10k-ish probably 10.8k it will dip 8k we will have to see.
So for now you should not buy because it's very volatile, some SHIT altcoins are also getting pumped and being bought, but mostly goes down along with BTC.
You should wait a little bit more or do a little more research before diving.

hallo friend, I think it would be wise to choose both. ie by dividing allocations according to potential coins, eg 60% to buy bitcoin and 40% to buy ethereum (60:40), or it can be 50:50.
There both good to have i think Eth will be better but who nos.
The news about ETH that end of january this will multiply hardfork enough to make many people shocked. including myself who was surprised to see the ETH price is quite slow but certainly experienced movement
Bitcoin probably will hit again his ath in near weeks so get it as soon as possible for you and earn some after short time.
I Think Ethereum have a better platform but you can not ignore BTC effect in the market! With current ETH Price, I think it will soon take back it's second place from XRP in the market caps!
Result changes according to your perspective, if you are talking about Technology behind, Ethereum with no doubt, but if you are talking about brand image, popularity, definitely BTC, currently we are at stage that people just started to realise the tech behind coins and coins started to gain popularity by their properties as well as brand. In long run I believe ETH might get more credit.
