Both are very potential coin. And major coins of the cryptomarket but Btc now one of the most valuable coin although eth are goin to touch btc price.eth price is stable than btc price I think.because btc price fluctuations is little bit high.
I wish that ethereum strengthened its positions and approached bitcoin. But it is very difficult to do this. Bitcoin has not yet lost a huge army of fans and other ethereum competitors are not far behind.
I think they will both be successful but with much different use cases. Bitcoin will be a store of value like digital gold and ethereum with be the platform in which other cryptocurrency companies are built. It will also be one of a few transaction currencies.

Both have their respective potential. But I chose Bitcoin rather than ethereum. Not that ethereum is not good. But if I have to choose yes I choose bitcoin. My strong reason is because bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is best as a payments platform/storage of value. Ethereum is much more about becoming the world's computer, running decentralized apps and smart contracts.

In terms of value bitcoin is high and in recent days due to the network issues bitcoin transactions were quite expensive to be made when compared to the transaction fee on Eth. This has made users to switch towards Eth for transaction needs. Apart from this bitcoin has got good number of markets accepting bitcoin which is low for Eth. Altogether both are growing mutually. Bitcoin will always have the first mover advantage and the branding so it will always be at the top.

Bitcoin will still be the king, at least in 2018, but Ethereum can be easily caught by other promising coins with platforms for ICOs like NEO or Stellar. We will see in several months or a year from now!
Bitcoin price is always increasing and also ETH price is increasing but ethereum price is low. Bitcoin and ethereum are best for investment and both gives us huge profit by invest there. Bitcoin is the best crypto and also ethereum but not like BTC
etherium is fantastic investment it is a great project as well as a great team BitCoin is the same but too high, so the profit for new entrants is low
My thoughts on Bitcoin VS Ethereum is that both are great investing coins, I can't choose which one I want most because both of these coins have different platforms. They have different objectives as well, Bitcoin is the original and is the father of all coins and Ethereum is somewhat the next big thing next to Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is still #1 but ETH might overthrow them in the future. They seem to be more stable going into 2018 anyways
It seems to me that people are starting to get a bit disappointed in bitcoin. If bitcoin is not upgraded in the near future, then ethereum will take first place.
I choose ethereum because I like to participate in the ICO. Also in ethereum it is much more convenient and less expensive to make payments. Transactions are much faster than in bitcoin and the transfer fee is not that big. 
Bitcoin is number 1 crypto that's why many people trusted to this coin and continue to increase and that's why also they reach $20,000 last december 2017. But the price as of now is $12,800 even price decrease it is good compared to the previous price. Ethereum as of now is 1,150 dollars and for sure it will increase more the price in next few months. If you are talking about the profit that possible you get better if you invest in ethereum brcause it's not hard to become double or more the price brcause price is cheaper than bitcoin. While bitcoin because of high price it's hard to double it takes long time to reach that for sure. But better if you have both this coin.
I think that both will be bigger than now.

My opinion is ethereum most reliable coin in cryptoworld because now altcoins generally are ethereum basement rigth now. bitcoin is main coin rigth now but it can change in short time. Trusth vitalik trust ethereum

After being a while in crypto I think Bitcoin is a bit boring compared to Ethereum. Maybe Bitcoin will catch up with Ethereum eventually when it gets Lightning and smart contracts, but most of the action is now taking place in the world of Ethereum.
I still believe that Bitcoin is the leader of Cryptocurrency market because although it's dipping this week but it had the potential to peak $100,000 by the end of 2020 but Ethereum had a place as the second strongest Cryptocurrency and the most valuable coin in the market. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are on the moon today and soon will be on Mars after a year.
