Both fiat and bitcoin oscillate in value, the main difference is that fiat has a much larger volume so the oscillations are not as
noticeable as it is with bitcoin and other crypto currencies.

For me bitcoin is far more valuable than any fiat, and the main reason for that is that it has a limited supply and is independent of all countries
and man made laws, whereas fiat isn't and they print it more and more, even as we speak now..

cheers
I think you've just pointed out one of the major benefits of Bitcoin over other fiat currencies, that not a single nation or entity has exclusive control over the amount of Bitcoins in circulation.
Just for this reason alone, Bitcoin is worth more to me than fiat will ever be. And for me personally, high volatility doesn't cause me to spend less Bitcoins than I would otherwise.

Apart from time for me bitcoin is the future. I don't expect it to be gone anytime ever, period!

It's very convenient to buy and sell items and best of all it is already usable quite a lot.
Placing bets, buy services like hosting or a vpn and even clothing can be bought with bitcoin. So yeah bitcoin is worth quite a lot.

Bitcoin allows me to be my own bank and keep my savings safe from anyone that may want to take them. I don't trust banks or fiat so to me bitcoin is worth a lot.

That is not speaking just USD/Euro terms that is talking security. I use it as a currency in a small way but waiting for the day everywhere accepts it and i can pay my mortgage and bills with it. (without the need of a middle man to rely on to pay for me) Even until then it is worth so so much more than worthless fiat.

I see Bitcoin as very valuable, but not only looking at it through the value in dollars. Of course, it's primary value is in dollars, but Bitcoin is all about technology as well. Bitcoin is about all of us finally having an alternative to send our money anywhere without relying to any Fiat currency, bank or payment processor as PayPal and such!

Of course it is worth for me. Currently as an investment, because i feel the price is raising, but when more stores will accept it, it also be worth it for shopping online and in physical stores.

It's a pretty simple question. If you had the option of paying in bitcoins or dollars and the price was exactly the same, which would you pay with? One thing you never have in the back of your mind when paying in dollars is 'hmm, maybe this'll be worth twice as much next year.'

i was invested in USD but that was a bad choice  Lips sealed

It will go even worst with this trend because of the inflation every year if i remember it was -2% every year. So in bitcoin we see it rising at least this year.

Well, as long as i can buy real stuff with Bitcoin it has a value for me. And $450 is a strong value.
it is the manner of a currency that it only has value if people believe in it.

and that was even before the crisis, since the crisis started around 2007-2008 and was more established later

so it is right when they said that fiat is worthless

Given the rate of which it has changed in relation to its worth against the Dollar, yeah, I deem it to be worth more at this moment in time.
