well it's been over 8 hours now & I haven't heard anything, not that I was expecting to of course & I'm still unable to withdraw my slowly dwindling Net Value balance now at $350.99 or liquidate or do anything at all on my Bitcoinica account & yes a base price of $4,389,544,719,889,099,776 hmmm - a little steep maybe  Undecided

this is what my account looks like, it's been impossible to sell it to zero as it's gone completely haywire, I've just taken out all the funds that I could, still leaves $175.44 trapped in maintenance when I have a -1 billion position apparently due to Bitcoinica's code not being able to do maths, can't press liquidate either because the Account setting button field is on top of it - haven't bothered to contact support because there never is any response

edit: or as it's refusing to let go of maintenance on a closed out position then it's keeping back twice that locked in $351.70 - open request to Zhou to release this today & explain what's going on

And I thought I was having issues with Bitcoinica, 4 thousand trillion as a base price on 99 femto-BTC, wow... I think they need more extensive tests for their software. I really hope you get that worked out soon, looks like you have a fair bit of money frozen thanks to that.
Please update us if you ever get any (non-Automated) response, I've been waiting 6 days for a response from their support, and then Zhou has been seemingly ignoring me on here for about a week between the this thread and the Zero-spread one in Speculation.

this is what it looks like on a Chrome browser to show it without the liquidation price app

now under Actions the Liquidate button is more visible but it still doesn't work, just goes to an error page & won't let me close this false position that I never had & withdrawal my Net Value of $351.53

hi

kindly release my net value on account Richardlogo that is trapped in false maintenance from closed out positions, it's $351.70 thanks

see the forum bitcointalk.org Bitcoinica thread for more details

urgent

thanks

Richard

edit: I have never been able to log on to Bitcoinica support, from the auto response which is all I've ever had or those I know who have also never had requests answered, has anyone ever been able to do this?

"Alternatively, you can keep track of this conversation at http://help.bitcoinica.com/discussions/problems/976-kindly-release-my-funds-as-i-cant-liquidate-due-to-your-site-not-working"

Zhoutong, please give more details!

Please explain why you are offering ZERO SPREADS for the bad ticks to all customers instead of giving a full refund to those who suffered most?

Thats smells like the beginning of the end. No refunds. Zero spreads. More customers for you. More profit when close bitcoinica down and run away with all our money. That is quite easy to anticipate.

Biconica will soon be the next Bitcoin7!! It's a shame.

Take out your money, people or you will loose it all.

We have refunded everyone who genuinely suffered. (They are the people who were forced to sell below $4.5. That's our fault.)

We don't give refunds to people who were forced to buy at high prices, because they should be liquidated anyway. (Even if we re-enable their positions, they will still be liquidated immediately.)

There're some people out there who got confused.

This makes more sense in regards to your post in the speculation forum, as you merely said liquidated shorts, not shorts liquidated below 4.5.

Actually, I wouldn't have been liquidated at all had I not had stops set up, and would have most of my money at this point. It's almost like you're telling me I shouldn't take measures to manage my risk because huge slippage should be expected. I got liquidated because I had buy orders set up for after my short had been covered, which then executed and then were liquidated pretty much immediately afterward because suddenly my order that would have maybe been 2:1 turned into leverage perhaps 10:1, and then with the spread and slippage, put me into a liquidation position.

I would say a loss of 96% is genuinely suffering when I "should have" lost ~35%, or even 75% if my second buy order to set up a long position hadn't executed and there had only been the problem of slippage. Implement stop limits and then people won't have legitimate complaints about slippage. I don't want, nor expect, reimbursement for my full position, or what could have been my profit had my short been covered in a reasonable manner and my long instated where I wished. All I want is the 61% percent of my loss that shouldn't have been, and stop-limits. I will never put more money in Bitcoinica until I see stop-limits, I really don't see what is preventing you from doing that.

These losses I'm calculating are assuming a 10 cent slippage by the way.

Edit: It also tried to execute a sell I had set up at 4.74, but luckily (or not, at least I would have gotten compensation for that), the slippage and long position buy meant I didn't have enough margin to do it.

Zhou.... anything? I've emailed support, posted on here, posted a few times on the thread in the speculation forum and I have gotten no response. Any chance my position can be restored, it was a relatively small position at that? Am I out of luck?

question: how long does it take to get your account verified? I did start the verification a good week ago, the process page still tells me it's pending, and I didnt get any notification by mail. Also: What are the limits for (un)verified accounts?

Currently we don't impose any restrictions other than approval of large withdrawals. There're no hard limits in place.

We will review all the documents once we finalize our terms of service and other policies.

so I wont have any unpleasant login surprises with you guys like I suddenly had with mtgox last year which then lasted 3 months to be resolved on gox's end?

Zhoutong, ok. The 160$ are back.
Please restore my position as offered w/ 200 BTC Leverage 5. I bought somewhere between 4.70 and 4.80. I can't see the excat buy price on the history page.

Done.

Congrats! Your account equity dropped from $160 to $138.33 after the requested change.

I don't understand why some people think the compensation is too low to cover the loss.

Away on an extended break
MtGox would be broke by now if all so called 'hacked' people got their refunds from them.

I believe that it's only for smart phone users, I've already asked that a simple 2FA could be an option for others, like a PIN or email confirmation needed for withdrawals, a drop down secret info input or better yet Yubi Key  - so easy to set up & with so much at stake I wonder why this hasn't it been done as yet? There must be other clients that don't have a smart phone, blockchain.info wallets have a Yubi key option like Gox, Dwolla has a PIN, I have much less coins/cash on them than in Bitcoinica, please implement something soon Zhou

Well it appears I joined the boat today.  No understanding why.  The price has not moved in several days so I am not understanding why my positions sold off and liquidated.  The funny thing is I had more of my own bitcoins deposited in there than I actually purchased so to have a balance of $0 is quite impossible.  I guess this is how you recoup money that was stolen from you weeks before.  You promised to take care of everything when that happened because you had a very profitable year.  I see where the profits came from stealing from all the little people.

All I saw about your account is that you liquidated your own position and withdrew everything. Why you say that we are stealing from you?

I did not log into my account today.  I received an email stating my withdrawal is complete.  When I never logged in so I went to check my account and all funds had been withdrawn.  I sent this issue to the support dept. a couple of hours ago when I received the emails.  The transactions appear as they do for the others listed here.
Lesson to be learned for everyone: Bitcoinica offers 2 factor authentication. Use it!
