Oh man! I really love the odds for Bayern, but playing away from home and Bayern Munich haven't even been flawless in the Bundesliga, I'm more tending towards both teams to score or over 2.5 goals. Although my pick in the pool is the contrast of this. I went with a 2-0 win for Bayern.

I really don't know what to expect or who to back on Chelsea vs Atletico, I've got the game Under 2.5 goals for my slip but I've no idea on which team to pick in the pool  Huh

Looks like we both got what we wanted for Bayern. I did take a simple ML so that more than made up for what I thought would be Atleti's night (strange that they rather switched back to their old dogged ways in Europe competition, reminds me of how they played against Liverpool) but finalle Simeone got undone by Chelsea. Still, maybe this is his plan after all and second leg is where it unfolds. Tuchel 1 so far though. And Giroud as usual bringing in the goods!

Thank you, I'm actually still down on big Liverpool bets, but not by much thanks to that win. I'm risking a bet on my Superbru predictions for a correct score 2:0, but also some favourite parlays with tomorrow's matches. Now I am also considering Lazio ML but I want to see the lineup first fully confirmed as odds aren't QUITE so exciting with not even 45/10, so no value there. But definitely worth predicting an upset for Superbru haha.

Bayern 1.8 is arguably super value... any takers?

0 points from 4 Champions league games so far. I was afraid to look at the table on Superbru after games, I thought I will be near to the bottom. But I checked it now and everything is better than I expected, I'm still 2nd. But it will be to reach @Harkorede, he is up by 7 points. It's big gap, considering that there is not so many games like domestic leagues every round.
All 4 games had more or less unexpected outcomes. Liverpool and Borussia were understimated because of poor performance in national leagues, but both teams had very solid games in UCL. Damn, I'm not even talking about how much money I lost on Champions league betting recently...

I honestly wouldn't consider 7 points as huge gap until the semi finals, even in the quarter there will be very close matches and it will be tougher to choose a side, except there are certain picks where most users  might have in common, so in essence on good for anyone can make significant changes to the leaderboard. It's just myself and Bigdaddy with 3 points so far in this round.

In hindsight I think I got overly excited about that spot.  I thought it was value so I made the bet...  Little did I know the match was gonna be played in Budapest.  But it was too late.  I’m an idiot.  But I’m not too sure it would’ve made a difference anyway without any fans.
It was a value bet and I took 1x on Leipzig so got rektd as well. Did not watch the game but from what I read it could have been whole lot different if Leipzig score something while it was 0:0. I knew the game will be played in Budapest but thought that Leipzig will manage to hold their own purely based on current form. Had it in a double with both to score on Barca game. That one passed nice and early just like I prefer it.

I am leaning towards Sevilla win today and both to score on Porto game. Sevilla is playing great football and Dortumd seems unsettled at the moment. Juve is not that granite defense as they were in previous seasons and I expect Porto to find the net once.

Well I got zero points from yesterday. Didn't watch either games and have yet to see the highlights but I didn't expect Liverpool to win especially given their recent performances and how well RB Leipzig are doing in the Bundesliga and then Barca getting turned over at home with a Neymar-less PSG. Tonight's games are very hard to pick as well as both stronger teams are playing away. Don't know whether to go for draws or narrow away wins but home wins wouldn't surprise me either. I'll probably get another nil points from today either way  Grin.

^  That draw no bet for RB Leipzig, at home priced at 2.12 vs a physically and metally fatigued Liverpool looks good value tho.  Grin  RBL lost only once at home in the Budesliga this season and no losses in the CL.

And it’s hard to back Liverpool rn.

As I said somewhere when draw was made, it's too early to predict something, lot of thing may change in tthese few months.
If Liverpool were favorites initially, now I would say it's 50/50. Leipziglooks really solid and I can't say it about LFC.
I thought that Barca will haveno chance against PSG. But now they improved a lot, while PSG lost Neymar. Now I'm not such sceptical about our chances.

PSG on the wrong end of my 3-1 bet, and way out on my 2-0 prediction, ouch! Can't see Barca coming back from this loss. Paid the price for Griezmann's profligacy otherwise, not having eyes on the game but some highlight I saw suggest that game could have swung either way.

Much like Leipzig, to be honest. Plenty of close shaves, another day and we'd be behind but Salah snapped up the mistake from defence happily. Hope Alisson and co get a lot of confidence from this. Kabak applauded really loudly his keeper's first rushing clearance hahaha. I don't even mind just getting 1.5 points for this pool, happy for the win and something to take back to the return leg.

I can finally sleep.

yeah, but while Barca has no chances to go through, I could not say the same for Leipzig, they will try to overcome this lose in second match
it was a neutral ground, and second match would not make a difference for Leipzig, and Liverpool has issues in their play, which could not be fixed with 0:2 win, if Leipzig scores fast on Anfield, and they will certainly try, and could do it, it will be a fight there, whereas goals do not suite Liverpool at home, each after first conceived would mean easier go through for Leipzig

It's all square at all ends of the both matches, Barcelona couldn't protect their 1 goal lead after Messi converted from the spot, it's been all PSG there after, and Greizmann as usual with a huge miss.

PS: Has the pool fee payment started already ? Or am I missing something ?

I so much hate the fact I'll be backing both Liverpool and Barcelona despite the fact both teams aren't in their best form, as for Barcelona they'll be playing at home and PSG  are just equally as inconsistent, but for Liverpool, I'd say it's a different tournament and I'd expect a different approach/performance.
I have taken a different approach today and chosen Leipzig to not loose @1.6 which seems like really value odds when we all know how much Liverpool is struggling lately and would probably be happy with a draw.

In other game I have both to score on Barca game, I would be even happier with this bet if Neymar and DiMaria were ready to play but anyway there should be goals in this one.

Definitely the smart bet, but I've been watching the games of Liverpool and yes, I'm the undying supporter, but we've really lost a lot of games where we actually played good football. Again, expected goals mean nothing in terms of eventual goals but you keep creating the chances we do and we're bound to win more regularly, returning to the mean.

Leipzig's a crazy good team, might even pip Bayern to the title if they keep performing like that (and Bayern keep dropping points), but it's generally against open playing teams that the Reds do well.

A lot of good promos on. Correct score Barca PSG I went for 3:1 haha -- massive 167/10. Been having pretty good correct score wins in EPL, gonna see if it transfers over to UCL. I know it's hugely underestimating PSG but yeah, without Neymar, they're just not as good. Even if Moise Kean is proving his mettle.

Been a while. Looking forward to see Liverpool shrug off EPL woes and do well in this competition, I'm pretty sure Real and Barca will feel exactly the same. Even Chelsea. Redemption for one team, but Bayern still the clear favourites, along with Citeh.

Put your picks in boys. Domestic league form change your minds yet?

It is still not perfectly settled even with booking points. There are sites out there that count red as 25 points and some that count as 20. Do you know how Sportsbet counts them? At least yellow is worth 10 points in all bookies I know Smiley

Yeah, 10 from yellow and 20 from reds (straight, not after 2nd yellow). So their lines are always from 9.5 in increments of 10, at least from Betbuilder.
I just checked booking points market and cards market on Sportsbet and you are wrong. Red card is worth 25 booking points or 2 cards, you are correct that second yellow is not counted. Therefore when one players gets second yellow red card he has actually collected 35 booking points or 3 cards depending on the market.

I was checking it today since a guy Spurs bench got a card (not player) and I wanted to see if it counts (it does not) and then I remembered our conversation.

Here is the quote from Sportsbet their rules:
Quote
Booking Markets

Yellow card counts as 1 card and red or yellow-red card as 2. The 2nd yellow for one player which leads to a yellow red card is not considered. As a consequence one player cannot cause more than 3 cards.
Settlement will be made according to all available evidence of cards shown during the regular 90 minutes play.
Cards shown after the match are not considered.
Cards for non-players (already substituted players, managers, players on bench) are not considered.

Booking points markets

Yellow card counts as 10 points and red or yellow red cards as 25.
The 2nd yellow for one player which leads to a yellow red card is not considered. As a consequence one player cannot cause more than 35 booking points
Settlement will be made according to all available evidence for cards shown during the regular 90 minutes play.
Cards shown after the match are not considered.

yeah, and how will PSG be counted in our pool, I have actually predicted 5:1, and seems that they are calling the game cancelled, it is not going to help me to leave the bottom, but would be nice to have this exact score counted Smiley

Some balls on you my friend, well done on that. I've got them to lose their next domestic game against Lyon so I'm "happy" they blew off all this steam, hope it flattens them on the weekend haha.

@hilarious Varchester United for sure, I'm avoiding wooden spoons but not exactly topping the charts meself.

Also, watched the video, and it does seem Demba's asking why he used a word that does sound like "negru". Reminds me of Suarez using a similar word, all of which means black anyway. In Malay, they still say "black skinned" which is probably going to get an official in trouble some day. I won't say my views but in this day and age, you really can't afford to be that naive.

From what I saw from the footage the player was complaining that the fourth official referred to him (or someone else) as "the black player", which if that was it then it's obviously silly, unless he takes issue with the Black in Black Lives Matter too:

I saw some people mention that they're might have been some confusion over whether the assistant might have said 'negru' which is apparently 'black' in Romanian which he might have misunderstood and taken offense to.

It seems a little more complicated. Each medal has two sides and all this gets new details. the Romanian refs claim Webo called them 'gipsy', maybe that was enough of a provocation. Football journalist from Romania Emanuel Roşu posted about this on his Twitter.
