You can't be caught napping in the defence against Bayern, that was a cold out demolition of Salzburg with all the damage done just after 22 minutes into game. I wasn't expecting a competitive game, but at least Salzburg held their ground. Glad you won your bets, and could have had a triple night if you went with your wish of Inter making a game of the tie.

Nobody got more than one point in the pool for the night, not even a single user went for a draw in Inter game, I'm sure it will be a different story in the next set of fixtures as a I expect divided opinions/choices on that one.

I hope you're wrong Trofo man. It would kill me to see Inter go through haha. I'm still pinging Steve like a kid to get SB to offer a Quadruple special. Free money for them right? =p

Not sure what to bet on tonight... Salzburg already has my money (again) but they are so going to get a whooping today after giving me false hopes 2 weeks ago. Liverpool odds are not great at all but they're sneaking into my acca started from last night as just over 15/10.
Read my post again, I said (or wanted to said) that I hope Inter will make a game of it but that I expect Liverpool to win it or get the draw at the worst Smiley

For me the way to go is goals, I have Bayern on both to score and I will add another on both to score & 3+. Thinking of playing both to score on Liverpool as well, Inter has to attack, right? And that means a lot of chances on both ends.

Bump

We have new games tomorrow, don't forget to put your picks in Superbru Smiley

Nothing except Real - PSG really interests me, Bayern, LFC and especially City are trough almost certainly. I watched first game between Slazburg and Bayern and I must say Salzburg could have scored more goals so I will honor them with my customary both to score bet.

I hope Inter found their attacking boots and that they will make and interesting game but realistically LFC will kill the game and it will finsih 0:0 or 1:0.

I got screwed by both Ajax AND Atleti, but as you and others pointed out, Spaniards weren't to be relied upon either.

same here, and it was good at one moment, with both teams on the lead
but in the end, finished with two draws and zero points

with whole round finished, seems that Chelsea, Liverpool and City are the only one secure in next round, Premier league domination continues

Had Atletico - MU on second screen, so, can't full comment game. From what I saw, result reflect game more or less. Had BTTS here.
It wasn't much of the game, Atletico was better and arguably deserved more from this game. United was nowhere all game and got lucky with that one action. They could have maybe even snatched a victory if Ronaldo let Fernadez/Telles to take the free kick. As soon as he placed the ball I knew it was gonna go well over the goal. He should get reality check and stop taking free kicks. I am quite sure he is the worst free kick taker in last couple of seasons.

Ended up being able to see this game as well bits of the first half, was away from home but saw a tv for about 20 mins on a tiny screen haha. Definitely looked good for me seeing them 1-0 up and playing the way they did, not being brilliant but keeping United absolutely quiet.

I got screwed by both Ajax AND Atleti, but as you and others pointed out, Spaniards weren't to be relied upon either.

Nice wins, Harko. BTTS was too low for me to include in my acca below, and I thought I was squeezing value out of Atleti ML but you know, I suck.

I'd stick with Under 2.5 for Man Utd and Over 2.5 goals for Benfica vs Ajax.

I settled for BTTS for Man Utd vs Atletico, thanks to the late goal from Elanga, I don't think Simeone and Atletico Madrid are away that away goal rule is no longer in play, because I wonder why you'd want to sit back on the 7 minutes single lead over two ties ?

Ajax vs Benfica was an easy Over 2.5 choice yeah ? although I had Ajax for a 2 Nil victory in the pool though, I didn't change my pick, and neither would I have opted for a draw even If I did.

Benfica were way better than I expected, especially in 2nd half. Draw is well deserved result, but Ajax is still favorite. I had Ajax ML, but at least over 2.5 goals bet went easy. Anotony tried to make Zidane, but Darwin Nunez deserves Oscar for best acting Cheesy.

Atletico and Ajax for me as well, Dutch should get through without too many problems but can't ignore 25/10 for KO specialist Simeone.
Ajax ML for me as well but I don't agree on Atletico ML. That game with 2 teams with arguably worst defenses in all top 5 leagues just scream both to score for me. This game if it weren't played for such high stakes would have 10 goals in it. As it stands I still expect at least 4 goals but can't decide how they will be spread so keeping away from ML.

I wouldn't trust Atletico Madrid tomorrow, and their porous defensive line would be the reason, I'd probably go with BTTS (if Ronaldo is in the Man Utd starting XI), He loves playing against Atletico, or else I'd stick with Under 2.5 for Man Utd and Over 2.5 goals for Benfica vs Ajax.

Can't trust Juve and I still ML'd them, but they're arguably up against another team worthy of distrust (United). I might wait for a betbuilder superboost on Atletico win, over 1.5 cards each (UCL is very lenient but I'm hoping it gets nasty) if it's over 6/1 on that.

TBH, did not expected for Villareal to be back after fast goal by Vlaovic, but Juventus is obviously far away from team that was few years ago
after Torino, Villareal was also back after being down against Juventus, and that proves that Juventus is not having champion winning mentality

regarding tonight, I will go with Atletico and Ajax to win

Yeah, that was painfully true watching it myself. Though to be fair, the team already looked so different when Ronaldo was in it, they just need to keep the good core and assess their decisions over the past 3/4 years (well, to me, Ronaldo was the biggest decision they should really reflect on to never repeat).

and for Atletico Madrid vs Manchester United, in its history the two teams have only met twice, namely in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1991, when Manchester United lost 3-0 in Madrid by Atletico and was held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. And I hope Manchester United will win the game even if it is difficult.

Oh wow, that's a long time ago, if Ronaldo wasn't playing before in La Liga, then he'd never have met many of the guys here. I wonder who else has met each other before though. de Gea I am very sure knows a lot of the players there.

1991 was the period just before United became the global force, Atletico is I would say more effective than them in winning lately, if you remove the spending power of Old Trafford.

Good calls, both

Dusan Vlahovic's quick goal against Juventus did not weaken the mentality of the Villarreal players and they remained calm and played consistently, because usually the team that scores earlier than the opponent will make the opponent nervous and will most likely score again.
but Villareal was not like that and he continued to play well even managed to level the score until the end of the game and dominated the game a bit.

I'd go for Under 2.5 in both games for tonight. Although I've got both Juventus and Chelsea to win in the pool.

under on both matches seems as a good choice, but one should be careful
on the other hand, Chelsea to win is no value bet, and Juventus is hardly poised to win tonight

I will go with draw in Spain, will see what will came up, it is a beer money ticket, with some other bets, hockey and volleyball

Good calls, both. Unders I guess were about 2/1 and the Spain draw I'm sure was also 3/1 same as Juve win.  I lost Lille and Juve MLs, but secured the BTTS for Juve-Villareal on an important acca (worth 1.98 so very happy) for a moment in late first half the stats began to rack up and I thought maybe... but I was watching Juventus match instead after that guy scored the fastest goal for a UCL debut -- 31 seconds! Have to say it turned out to be as drab as the scorelines suggests. Kept giving ball away to each other.

Hope tomorrow's better. Atletico win is next on my acca Wink

1 exact score, 1 wrong result. Up 2 spots for this tiny pool hooray...

Despite the early goal from both matches, I thought either team would turn up with more goals, but I'm glad they didn't. It was just hard to bet against Juventus, but the win/draw for Juventus would really have been of some value as well.

So who else thinks Juventus 3/1 ML is great value?

Sure, Villareal's done really, really well, to reach this stage after finishing 7th in La Liga last season (and in 6th now actually so we know they're not really a different or better outfit than they were last).

Just to remember, this is the team that forced a draw to United and won their CL ticket on penalties.

That good enough to take them to UCL Qs? I don't think so.
I know that you like such big value bets, but it's not for me. No way that I would back Juve today. They're not looking much better than Villarreal. I think will be not most exciting and low scoring game, so,  I go with 2.5 under.
I expect confident Chelsea win today. They're in good run now, while Lille, with all respect is just mediacore Ligue 1 team. Over 2.5 @1.90 isn't bad value, right?

Yeah, It seem betting on Juventus would be not so good as an idea, they're missing a number of players, even Dybala would be unavailable for the game.

Chelsea lineup also seem more like an experimental squad imo, looking at the lineup and substitutes, I wonder why Jorginho and Mount are on the bench, at least it's understandable that Lukaku have been really off his best form lately. I'd go for Under 2.5 in both games for tonight. Although I've got both Juventus and Chelsea to win in the pool.

I don't know what to bet on this match. My initial idea was to play 1x on Villareal but I expected Juve to be favorites. This way there is no value in 1X and I don't intend to play on Juve since I don't believe they can win. This smells like low scoring draw to me and then Juve will win the second leg 1:0 and pass trough.

Could be worth some money to play under on Chelsea game though, but since i don't play unders, just tennis for me today.

I think Juventus ML is really and could be worth the risk, I think the odds is a perfect reflection of Juventus performance so this season, I might go for the Juventus double chance, but I'll wait for the lineup and other details before placing my bet.

Chelsea to win should be an easy ML and under too is good, Chelsea have been horrible in front of goal recently.
