I'm so looking forward tonight, I hope Barcelona would be able to advance through to the next round, against all Odds and for that to happen, I think it's safer to expect a win from Barcelona than to expect Benfica to slip up tonight, isn't it ?

In the end it was too much for 2 things to happen. First, for Besiktas to lose or even draw. Second, and more important, to ask Bayern to lose when they've won every game so far.

And I dropped to 4th place so no consolation for me either.

Yeah, sorry my friends. I was contemplating a Barca outright but it's really hard to see them get anything out of a stubborn Bayern -- the other team to register 6 wins in the group stage.

What's crazy now is that three tough teams wait for the next round in 2nd place (PSG, Chelsea and Atletico), so it's not out of the question that Liverpool could come up against Chelsea or even PSG -- though I fancy our chances against either!

Now tonight left to decide who's the last team to enter. Sorry Yellow Submarine, but Atalanta needs to go through to make it interesting.

Well, guys, there it is. I now say goodbye to watching my team play in Champions League and say hello to new friends in Europa League  Cheesy

Wolfsburg is in terrible form and Lille has gotten back to the form so maybe Lille to win @3.2 or Lille x2 @1.56? Need some ideas definitely.

this would be an option if Lille is good form, this group is really a booger for me, expected Sevilla to pass easily, but they obviously like Europa league too much, to stay in Champions league kick-out phase

Zenit and Chelsea played 3:3, draw is not a surprise, but 3 goals in Chelsea net, second game in a row, it is something unusual

I'm right down here at the bottom of this table now together with you Trofo. Halab on the top, and everyone else in between, but yeah, still another round of games tonight before the table as we know it shouldn't shift too much more once we enter KO phase.

Ruined my life with City in every single pick I made, and missed out on a big Liverpool win as all were accas. Is it too much to ask to get Barca to save me tonight?
Doing terrible in this pool but at least I got most of my both to score games right yesterday. If just inter had one goal in them, I would have won all my tickets. This way i got nice profit plus 8 mBTC insurance free bet to try and convert today.

That being said I don't like the games tonight. I am thinking Bayern - Barca should be goals since there are rumors Bayern is resting some first team defensive options and all attacking players should play. Wolfsburg is in terrible form and Lille has gotten back to the form so maybe Lille to win @3.2 or Lille x2 @1.56? Need some ideas definitely.

I'm actually getting better by the round, I'm currently up 2nd just behind Halab I think.

I do not think that Bayern will let Barca get away without few goals in their net
there is a rivalry, Bayern won against Dortmund over the weekend, so title should is not questioned (it is still early, and small difference, but for Bayern is important to be on top, and they will have winning strike in the second half, to ensure the title)

but, I would like to see Benfica out after their episode with Belenenses, there was no fair-play there, so cheering for Kyiv is a best option
I would rather wait for an gift from Dynamo than expect that we will beat Bayern. Though, Dynamo fight for nothing already. For me Bayern don't look like a team which is going to rest some players. As said already, they have easy life in Bundesliga and in recent years they have rivalry with Barca, so, I doubt that they're going to play like in meaningless game.
Don't know how big factor it will be, but this game will be played in empty stadium. I watched Leipzig - MC game today and without fans this game was hardly watchable for me.

Ajax might still be able to advance further this season, they're playing on almost the same level like they did that year or even better, but then the draws/fixture might actually have to be in their favour too, because it's tougher if they have to play big teams at every step of the way.
Completely agree about Ajax. I think this season they're capable to go far, maybe even reach semifinal like few years ago. They look amazing, they score a lot and concede very few goals.

Mbappe scored in second minute, so goals should be guaranteed here, and should be a lot

hoped for Brugge to be third, but after last round match with Leipzig and 0:5 at home, if that happen, it would not be deserved, and probably would not happen at all, and they started really good, with a win in Germany

it is already 2:0 for PSG

Of course I expect to lose, just going to enjoy the show tonight, and hope for loads of goals. Work sucks, so football is my salve.
I am on both to score in most matches tonight so I hope for goals as well. Line ups for first 2 matches are up and it seems all teams fielded quite respectable line ups. City decided to give rest to most used defensive options, Cancelo, Diaz, Ederson and Rodri so goals should be coming in this one. Their bench looks interesting though, lots of youngsters there, would love to see some of them in second half.

^Great minds think alike, Slaman29, except I've only got City as PART of my acca heh. I went for the big favourites expected to play second strings: City, Liverpool and Real. And then dumped Atalanta in from Europa, and Oxford in from League one football. All in all about 42/1. A bit stupid to go for one, never mind all 3 big teams but I don't know, UCL's always proven that experience matters.

Of course I expect to lose, just going to enjoy the show tonight, and hope for loads of goals. Work sucks, so football is my salve.

Ajax would have been on the ticket too if they only managed 15/10 odds but 13/10 feels pretty bad value for me (as they also somehow know how to draw).

Don't be shocked for draws or upsets losses for teams already qualified, I would see a possibility for Manchester City and Liverpool both to lose. Or are Leipzig and Milan unable to fight Team B from each side?
I am mostly looking forward towards Bayern - Barca game. Bayern at home portrayed as big favorites by bookies @1.7 but they are first in that group whatever happens and Barca needs a win to be sure of their progress. If this was some English team playing against Barca I would have already placed high stake bet on them since I know they would rest all their players but Buyern has "easy" league with winter break coming up so they could field maybe even first 11 to get another win against big name.

Nothing to do but watch for statements in German press or wait for line ups, but those odds drop so fast at that moment and I know I will get worse odds.

I agree here. If this was any English team, Barca would probably be too good for them and this is true even for City's second squad who could still fight for first place but inexperience in Champions League is always something that shows.

Bayern is happy to play full squad now though and they will have a rest to look forward to so the odds seem right. I was sort of hoping Barca to be 5x but guess I have to be happy with it.

My simple multi is City+Barca = @8.9

I am giving them a chance against most of the clubs in Europe now. Maybe something like City or Chelsea would be too much but against United or let's say Barca I am putting a big bet on Ajax for sure. They are the team that will capitalize on any defensive weakness opposition shows. Just take a look how Dortmund fared against Ajax, they conceded 7 goals in 2 matches.

Ajax is playing some incredible football this season, they are my dark horse in this competition and I expect to back them even against heavy hitters in later stages. Have a feeling we are due to see one "small" club come far and I expect Ajax to do that. Of course if they manage to hold on to all their players during winter transfer window. Could be very different Ajax team after it since there is always plenty of rich clubs targeting their players.

Ajax had their chance in 2019, kicking out Real and Juventus, but kicked by Tottenham late goals in Amsterdam
they were already seen in finals after win in London and lead at home

I cannot imagine seen this season different, maybe semi-final is too far for them, IMO, but they need more than great football to reach final, stability, and I think that they lack it again, will be interesting, for sure

Hey all I saw my reminder from Superbru about UCL, just found out also I fell to 2nd place but this final game of the group stage will be the best time for all of us to get our points.

Wasn't watching but yeah, they've also been absolutely dominating in Eredivisie (thanks also in part to some good steals from their closest rivals)  but nice that you picked them as the dark horse. That's my "thing" most seasons, to pick one in a competition and back them all the way for high-value bets but I actually only do that in Europa.

The good thing about Ajax is they know what they are, which is a factory for the rest of Europe. So they always build with short-term ideas, knowing they can't hold on to their stars. So it's a permanent flux, and they're used to it.

Of course it also helps they do have a pretty good coach... whom I hope doesn't cross the channel to go Manchester...

Ajax have just equalised, that means trouble for Besiktas, it's been quite an even game so far but I'll expect Ajax to go all out for the win night.

Ajax is down in Istanbul and Inter is having trouble with Shakhtar
what a start for Wednesday

Shakhtar is playing solid football, and they could make a surprise in second half in Milano

looking forward to Sporting - Dortmund tonight, will be a fair fight for second place

Inter have also just taken the lead against Shaktar, with a goal from Dzeko and there was an impressive build up to go goal, It's been coming all along.
