It's big hit for Juventus, but that painful as getting kicked out to Serie B. And I think it's unlikely that decision will be revoked after appeal. Now chances for Juventus to reach Champions league is almost minimal and it will be painful for them, especially considering that they don't show good financial results in recent years. Getting to Europa or Conference league will be very difficult too, being 12 points behind.

Wow I can't believe how far off track I am, did not even manage to discover this until very late when I checked the table and saw Juventus' placing!

This has to be Napoli season, proof is Inter losing yesterday!!

Still messing about with my Atalanta prediction. SO tempting to back Juve to go win every game from now on after their drama but odds on Atalanta are just. so. tasty.

Good things happened to Juve, they still manage to get a point even though Atalanta is clearly on the track to return. I hope you didn't waste any money on anything other than btts here?

Damn you, Sampdoria. Initially thought the draw was smart, then switched allegiance to the home team, not that I'd have gotten points either way  -- winless in 5 games but still in 7th place now (thanks Juventus). Wonder if I need to start taking them a bit more seriously now?

Yeah, it appears that Juventus is now down to 22 points on the season...it will be difficult, but not impossible to return to the top 6, top 4 and Champions League may be out of reach at this point.

I thought they'd only receive a 9-point penalty, but i see it's been increased to 15, which seems a little harsh given that other teams were investigated, but only Juventus received a point deduction. According to what i'm reading online, they've appealed the decision, but i doubt it will be overturned.

It sucks but it's not the end of the world...certainly better than playing in Serie B.  Grin Tongue

Really nice one morvillz7z that meme about the -15 points deducted to Juventus, i think Juventus was plenty of luck because everybody knows the Serie A its not in his best, so they cant send Juventus to Serie B this can only make more harmfull to the tournament.

But we have to say Juventus its always involved in this kind of shit...

will be interesting to see that, what will happen - Juventus to keep clean sheet, or Atalanta to play their offensive
not looking too much on Serie A, I am still stuck with Trofo's Juventus is playing as in 1:0 series, and Napoli is a glitch, so I am voting for clean sheet

is there a particular reason for Lazio to play on Tuesday?

I've backed Atalanta, just surprised they're not having better odds given the form of both teams. Juve will probably still take a 1:0 win though, but I'm happy to gamble on the result. No idea about Lazio, not following news...

Did you hear guys, still not confirmed, but I am hearing Juve is getting 15 points deduction due to financial shenanigans. Can't be too sorry for them, hopefully this will be more than enough for Napoli to win Serie A.

Milan clubs do not look like they have it what it takes to go the distance.

Hah! I knew something was coming out of the World Cup season investigations. Not sorry to hear too -- not like they were fighting for the title neither for the way they're playing nor their tactical mastery. Seems like the people in charge over there don't like learning their lessons.

That's a though decision and a huge blow for a team that's just getting back on their feet right after a couple season where they've struggled significantly, but the club already made a statement to file an appeal, hopefully they'll win the appeal.

Slightly related though, but former Barcelona and Juventus defender is also being detained currently (supposedly without bail) over an alleged sexual assault against a woman at a night club in Barcelona, which have made is currently club severe all ties with him immediately.

Tell you what, Napoli might also be facing a tricky game next because Salernitana (the team I still can not simply understand at all but hey it's Serie A) might be getting the "new coach" effect.

So they fired him after the 8-2 humiliation to Atalanta, and 2 days later, rehired him. Both president and Nicola were speaking in loving tones to each other after that... promising they will never lose a game like that again.

Don't you love Italy...

What a nonsense. What a damn nonsense. For me, not like Napoli to give up a lead so easily to a team that was the biggest underdog. I like them but I think they deserve to be dumped out of the Coppa.

I know, I also deserve it for choosing a cup game.

Smallest odds ruined this ticket. I totally totally deserved it.

same here, I was hedging Napoli (that I would like to win the title) with Juventus to win, and draw in the pool, so any outcome gives some good news Smiley

although, I am following more Serie B, where Cagliari is trying to catch that play-off spot, being down below some giants like Ternana and Sudtirol, but three wins from last four matches brought good vibe

Last season I spent some money on Segunda, never really tried Serie B, this season I haven't even found the time to really look at the main leagues -- definitely less Serie A awareness than last season or even 2 seasons ago. After promoted teams performance this season, might be interesting to keep an eye on the potential promotion teams too.

Napoli looked in such good shape I went ahead and added their next 2 games into my tickets, one tonight in Coppa and one in Serie A later.

Disclaimer is the odds are not good (tonight for example is home favorite against Cremonese) so I might be following bad instinct to use such games as multibet "top up" but I think this team is going to be like Arsenal, mostly dependable in small and big games.

Napoli? Without Osimhen, they're still able to win. With him, they're lethal af. Normally agree you shouldn't be using those small odds but I do that a lot with Liverpool to "boost" my accas so I get what you mean. Arsenal, Napoli, currently on hot streaks but I think their rides will be bumpy. Some teams aren't used to holding on to a lead. Both these teams I feel are those.

Atalanta gave us a whiff of their high-scoring season didn't they? And put down Salernitana quite badly to remind them of their place. No one in the pool got a point from Spezia, and only PL Guru smiled with Milan meltdown (but paid heavily with other upsets).

Old Lady comeback put on hold (and we still haven't heard developments from the December investigations) so I guess we can expect a lot of topsy-turvy moments for them this season. Silly me for backing them to win (though I did bet on Napoli).

Juventus' winning streak gave the impression that they were back in business, but objectively speaking they won difficult victories, mostly with minimal scores, even against outsiders. So yesterday's defeat put everything in its place.
The number of goals conceded, of course, surprised - before that, Juventus conceded 7 goals in 17 games  Grin

By the way, Milan - what kind of losers? Another loss of points and now Napoli are ahead by 9 points! I don't know what has to happen for them to miss out on the championship.
These difficult minimal wins of Juventusgave flashbacks to last decade when they achieved most of their Scudetto's in similar way, without playing fancy football. But personally, I didn't felt that they back on track, I actually expected that they can sack Allegri after fiasco in Champions league.
Didn't watched Milan game, noticed result when they were 2:0 down already.

Yes, I also expected his dismissal, but the management, on the contrary, supported the coach and this gave results. Quite an interesting prospect in the fight for 2-4th place in the next round: Inter have an easy opponent (as like Napoli), and Juventus and Milan are waiting for very difficult games and I'm sure that at least one of the clubs will lose points. Inter thus can return to the top three.

Heck. Di Maria ruined my accurate prediction (2-0). Judging by the game, I'm even unlikely to get 1.5 points, since most likely in the second half we will see a few more goals scored. It is a pity that Juventus played one goal so quickly - if the first half ended with a score of 2-0, then everything would be clear to everyone, but now we are waiting validol in the second half.
After all, nobody will get more than 1 point from this game and there was no validol ending. That Di Maria goal wasn't factor at all. Napoli was simply on fire today and another brilliant performance from Kvaratskhelia. I had Napoli ML with bet boost @2.09, but after their game with Inter I didn't had that much confidence. And especially after looking in recent Juve results, it was very difficult to predict such big outcome. Today they conceded more goals than maybe in last 10 official games combined.

First to all, its any news about tomahawk?

About yesterday game, i didnt expect that masterclass by Napoli, i think the people from Napoli doesnt  feel this power from the time when Maradona destroy Juventus in the 80.

The georgian guy level its incredible.

Juve had only kept one clean sheet in their previous visits to Napoli in the past 25 years, so keeping one tonight (despite their run since October) was never an option imo.
-snip

congrats, good guess

I didn't expected this kind of match, Napoli scored early and played all round much better
didn't know about statistics for Juve in Naples, but obviously it is no coincidecence that they cannot keep clean sheet there

this one could get Napoli to title, huge booster for morale
