Not looking good for my Coppa bet. Need to kick myself each time a game looks tempting, but I thought Inter would continue their slump, while Atalanta might go on scoring. Still half an hour to play but I'm switching off. Don't remember a recent time Atalanta haven't mustered a single attempt on goal... while Inter are trying for fun. Maybe I wake up and Lookman becomes a hero again but Zapata and Pasalic are shades away from themselves...

not sure if anyone was watching first half, but Milan conceived three goals until 30 minutes, and it is 1:3 at home with Sassuolo, they seem as low range team at the momebt, and sliding down

thought for a minute to bet on a win, but @5 is not good value, maybe @1.6 on Sassuolo, while leading 3:1 is even better

Wow, the bookmakers believed in Milan until the very end. I didn't see the game but 1.6 for a team that leads 3-1 is very generous, especially given that there are obvious problems in Milan. I'm not sure if I would have made this bet myself if I had followed the game, but this choice would have been very convenient for hedging, since with every minute played and the score unchanged, Milan's odds should have increased very quickly.

Hope you took Monza in the end since they are already 2:0 up. What a day in Italy, will be nice bonuses for bookie workers.

Have no idea what is happening with Milan, they were good before World Cup and then total disarray after the world cup. There has to be some problems in dressing room, not possible that everyone just forgot how to play.

Unfortunately not. I was about to pull the trigger when Monza's first goal was disallowed, but then I spent too much time looking at horrible Liverpool play (more on that I'm too tired to explain). But yeah, time to get serious about Monza, I predicted 2-1 on them on Superbru but that was more hopeful than anything else to try and climb the table.

Honestly don't know what's going on in Serie A other than much-publicised Juve... but Napoli seems to be the only one keeping form.

And dare I say, Lazio's the one now improving theirs?

Wow. Just as I thought Atalanta finds a way to score the goals, they let in 5 at home against... Sassuolo haha. If Giroud's opener had stood, it could have been a whole different ball game after.

It was such an interesting prospect to see Sassuolo at 1.09 live even leading 3-1 at HT, I took them and tagged them on a Liverpool ML... so let's see how my Sunday pans out. Might be tempted to go on Monza later if all is well in 40 mins. Heh.

Yes i think exactly the same way, for me its like the players wants Pioli to go out. I saw some parts of the match against Lazio and was like nobody wants to play seriusly, and today dont see any but... 5-2 against a shit Sasuolo? and in home.... its really strange.

Here in Argentina we are going to say " they are making him a bed"

The current scores is 2-5, and we are into additional minute, so it's likely going to be the final score, maybe betting against AC Milan until the end of the season might actually be a very smart idea, they've conceded 12 goals in their last 3 games, and it's not getting any better for them to be honest, there are just way too many issues with them right putting any more of them is nothing but an absolute waste. with their current trend, I'll definitely check if I can still get some good values on outright bets for them to not secure even an Europa league spot.

If Napoli doesnt win this Scudetto, they dont win NEVER again. The most easy in his history, practicaly all the teams are playing for them, no one its strong and plus Juventus asides of being weak they lose 15 points by administrative way.

Milan needs to recover the memory the game of today was pathetic, and it seem like they are playing this way for a few games.

My god, that was not just a loss but a complete dismantling, and the worst thing is they just gave another top 4 rival even better footing now. So all games in hand are gone and Napoli have a 4 loss cushion, with only 19 games, then the title is for sure theirs.

Like you said, if they crumble however, they will never recover again.

Milan lose or draw this game tonight and I will make an early call on Napoli... they may not end up with 100 points (50 at exactly halfway now) but everyone else is dropping points for fun I suspect they can even seal the league with 85 points. Napoli really that good? Or everyone else just really that bad?

Lazio totally humiliated AC Milan 4 goals to Nil, even though the scoreline doesn't completely depicts the game play and how it all turned out, perhaps a 2-1 or 2-0 scoreline would have justified the entire game in all fairness.
Milan seems in free fall after the world cup, most players totally out of form. Some with contract negotiations like Leao to further distract them. I never thought they really have the quality to mount title defense but it was sort of working while they had form.

4 goals diference for Lazio was unexpected even with Milan in bad form.

As for Napoli being really good, or every other team just being bad or perhaps, not just good enough is better description is this case, just 1 lost and 2 draws halfway into the league in an absolute brilliance in any league, even in that of the French or German league where there is a kind of monopoly haven't been that good this season. The only league where we have something somewhat similar is in the premier league with Arsenal, and we've come to terms with the fact they're just absolutely class above every other team this season, and I think nothing short of the recognition should be said about Napoli this season as well, and if for nothing else's sake the fact they finished top of their CL group stage almost unscathed, against Liverpool, Ajax, and Rangers.

At the moment, Napoli is head and shoulders above everyone else in Serie A, and that's enough for them.
Over the past 10 years, the minimum number of points for the championship was 83, and the maximum was 102. But if you look at the average, it is 87-90 points. Thus, Napoli remains to gain a fairly modest number of points on average in the remaining half of the championship and they will still become champions.

It's big hit for Juventus, but that painful as getting kicked out to Serie B. And I think it's unlikely that decision will be revoked after appeal. Now chances for Juventus to reach Champions league is almost minimal and it will be painful for them, especially considering that they don't show good financial results in recent years. Getting to Europa or Conference league will be very difficult too, being 12 points behind.

Wow I can't believe how far off track I am, did not even manage to discover this until very late when I checked the table and saw Juventus' placing!

This has to be Napoli season, proof is Inter losing yesterday!!

Still messing about with my Atalanta prediction. SO tempting to back Juve to go win every game from now on after their drama but odds on Atalanta are just. so. tasty.

Good things happened to Juve, they still manage to get a point even though Atalanta is clearly on the track to return. I hope you didn't waste any money on anything other than btts here?

Damn you, Sampdoria. Initially thought the draw was smart, then switched allegiance to the home team, not that I'd have gotten points either way  -- winless in 5 games but still in 7th place now (thanks Juventus). Wonder if I need to start taking them a bit more seriously now?

Yeah, it appears that Juventus is now down to 22 points on the season...it will be difficult, but not impossible to return to the top 6, top 4 and Champions League may be out of reach at this point.

I thought they'd only receive a 9-point penalty, but i see it's been increased to 15, which seems a little harsh given that other teams were investigated, but only Juventus received a point deduction. According to what i'm reading online, they've appealed the decision, but i doubt it will be overturned.

It sucks but it's not the end of the world...certainly better than playing in Serie B.  Grin Tongue

Really nice one morvillz7z that meme about the -15 points deducted to Juventus, i think Juventus was plenty of luck because everybody knows the Serie A its not in his best, so they cant send Juventus to Serie B this can only make more harmfull to the tournament.

But we have to say Juventus its always involved in this kind of shit...

will be interesting to see that, what will happen - Juventus to keep clean sheet, or Atalanta to play their offensive
not looking too much on Serie A, I am still stuck with Trofo's Juventus is playing as in 1:0 series, and Napoli is a glitch, so I am voting for clean sheet

is there a particular reason for Lazio to play on Tuesday?

I've backed Atalanta, just surprised they're not having better odds given the form of both teams. Juve will probably still take a 1:0 win though, but I'm happy to gamble on the result. No idea about Lazio, not following news...

Did you hear guys, still not confirmed, but I am hearing Juve is getting 15 points deduction due to financial shenanigans. Can't be too sorry for them, hopefully this will be more than enough for Napoli to win Serie A.

Milan clubs do not look like they have it what it takes to go the distance.

Hah! I knew something was coming out of the World Cup season investigations. Not sorry to hear too -- not like they were fighting for the title neither for the way they're playing nor their tactical mastery. Seems like the people in charge over there don't like learning their lessons.

That's a though decision and a huge blow for a team that's just getting back on their feet right after a couple season where they've struggled significantly, but the club already made a statement to file an appeal, hopefully they'll win the appeal.

Slightly related though, but former Barcelona and Juventus defender is also being detained currently (supposedly without bail) over an alleged sexual assault against a woman at a night club in Barcelona, which have made is currently club severe all ties with him immediately.
