really hope that WC will not bring Napoli down, they deserved title for show-ups in last few seasons, but did not get any, this should be their season, and without WC almost certainly, but now they can fall off with form afterwards

Seems like WC brought Juventus down, in a way, even without Italy participating haha. Just read that the entire board has resigned along with the president, bye bye Nedved VP too. This time, government investigation into financial fraud and hidden payments to players. Investigation itself is not new, but this move suggests something surfaced.

Don't know what to say or comment as too early really... but a mass resignation of key decision-makers implies we're going to see something bad happen to them next season. They didn't take long to rebuild after the last time they got relegated and stripped of honours (that was a different scandal but same roots of evil in football)

Not to say I don't count my blessings, was a pretty cool weekend for me but I'd have been a lot happier if not for damned Mourinho who got sent off haha, but shame on me for trusting his team today... and you know, they got a penalty in injury time, but missed?

did not know that Roma had a penalty in injury time and missed, hell, they are sliding further down with each round
city rival, Lazio, on the other hand, is with Milan only team that can keep up with Napoli, although on a good distance from the top

Insurance is of course better than nothing back but anyway, it's going to be a long month before I get back to getting mad at Italian football, as they're literally absent for the next few weeks heh.

Atalanta and Inter BTTS was probably the easiest thing to guess, but I was so sure the home team would have this one. Lost out to Napoli narrowly, fine, that was against a great team but Inter's been so vulnerable away from home.

Couple of you guys getting exact score from this too, 3 Inter goals and only 1 shot on target, thanks to 2 lucky own goals ha!

This is how Napoli will win, all their rivals taking points off each other on the most important games. Do need Milan to win today as they're on my ticket along with Roma and Monza... something I could never imagine myself saying in early season haha.

Time to bring the topic up.
Serie A pisses me off! Of the five games played, only one (Napoli's victory) has an adequate result. Judging by the fact that I am in the pool in the second half, someone else regularly makes successful predictions such as a Milan draw or Atalanta's loss to Lecce. I would like to know how do you do it?  Cheesy

The worst thing to me is the odds on Napoli to lose aren't even attractive -- it's as if bookies don't trust their form well enough, making them good value for accas all the time, until they lose their first league game of course.

Thought to even start adding them to HT wins on my accas, but of course World Cup is now in the way.

I cant understand why im doing so bad in this pool and in LaLiga, what a shamefull performance for me.

just do not give up, eventually it is getting better Smiley
Juventus took Verona down, and that is ninth lose in a row for Verona, they are stamping their pack to Serie B already

Romero scored, and Lazio is up, would be nice to see one more goal in Monza net, Lazio is holding tempo with Milan, but Napoli is running to title this year (shame that there is a World Cup to break the season, smelling some down form for Napoli after WC)

We have really complete diferent situation here.

For one side we have Trofo (with 4 exact score) and Mo salah with a lot of points and in the other side we are us, the people very poor in points Tongue

I cant understand why im doing so bad in this pool and in LaLiga, what a shamefull performance for me.

Big day in Serie A tomorrow. First, Derby di Roma between Roma and Lazio and soon after it Derby d'Italia between Juventus and Inter. Considering how teams are looking this season, Roma and Inter is favorites, but when things comes to derby, you never can know what will happen, even if one of teams is struggling.
Roma - Lazio is historically the game with most red cards, now last 6 were somewhat tame from this point of view and I recon it is time that changes. I think I will bet on over booking points, over yellow cards and rover red cards, depending what I find in markets on bookies. I would prefer to bet on booking points since it covers both yellow and red cards but I don't see that one often these days.

If indeed game turns to a bit of riot I am giving advantage to pragmatical Mou over Saribal or whatever it is called these days.

is Berlusconi an owner there? or the press is just relating Monza to him?
yeah, three wins in a row were somehow more than unexpected, but they are back to losing route, where they meet Verona, with even longer losing strike - 7 games, 8 lose in a row will make a history for Verona, in a negative way, they never lost eight matches in a row - statistically I have Monza to win, history has to change Smiley

Yeah, he bought them when they were in Serie C 4 seasons ago, promised to take them to Serie A, which has happened, so he's kind of a god hero cult status in some parts (obviously because of his past also a villain so Monza is also Team Evil). Milan, on the other hand, have been improving since he sold them so win win I guess.

Will Napoli have an insane 8 points advantage over second place?

update: 2-1 finally  Smiley

The 1:1 score does look statistically attractive, the problem is that it is in a range that is narrower than the score range where one of the teams wins. A draw is an event more rare than the victory of a favorite or an outsider, oddly enough.

Watched only the first half, but as it turned out, was all I needed to watch. Great game for the neutrals, as usual, though I did have Napoli to score another for an exact score, but Lookman and Osimhen are the heart of both team's precision. Couldn't agree more with Trofo they are such a joy to watch (and pretty awesome they did most of the hard work without Osimhen).

Sort of a shame Nigeria doesn't have such a great midfield to allow them to play the way they do in Italy.

This seems to be my most successful round for Serie A - I'm in a clean second place. It's amazing - I'm used to all the Italian teams surprising me with their results. Although I'm in the second half of the overall standings, I'm not that bad - I have half as many exact results as the first 4 places (which I consider pure lottery). Hopefully over time the lottery will be in my favor.

I believe I've poured enough love/hate on you in Champions League pool, no need to throw you further evil eyes in this one. I'm doing so-so in Italian and Spanish, but still a slide down from what I was doing in terms of performance from last season.

Monza is my bogey team this season, I think they're crap, they win, then the bookies start favouring them because of form, and they prove they're crap. On both terms I fail to detect the trend.

Exacts are definitely pure lottery... then again, so are picks when it's featuring midtable teams with almost nothing to separate them. 1-1 draws are the most tempting and should be the most picked in those games but I always lean to a narrow win.

That's true  Grin I got harassed in the Champions League pool thread like I won it 10 times in a row  Grin Such attention would be nice and fun, but the pool hasn't even ended yet.

I don't keep track of which team lets me down more often, but of course it's annoying when you make a choice (or even worse bet) and in the end the result breaks everything.
By the way, now Milan is already finishing the match but still cannot beat Spezia (and the score is 1-1 lol). Will Napoli have an insane 8 points advantage over second place?

^Napoli the only constant in Italy for me, they are playing their game, wining almost every game and almost always playing to outscore the opponent which results in both to score to pass early. My favorite team this and would really love them to win the league. And I am not saying just because they brought me so many winning tickets Smiley

Granted, they did let me down with both to score market in CL against Liverpool but they are good for it in Italy and it seems CL is cursed for me no matter what I play.

Indeed, how nice for me, as Monza took the lead and then proceeded to lose. I knew the odds were a lie, should have backed Bologna as gut intended but I decided to follow the experts and the odds.

Darbit got his yellow cap, so well done him (secret hate). Even if Monza got me my perfect score KTChampion would have the cap, so bleh.

Milan a culprit for me, as well, but not the only one, I made a mess out of so many teams. Roma about to blow us all up tonight possible? And Monza for a while now is favourite at home but I'm still reluctant. Should I trust odds since I don't really know these teams well enough? Or rely on gut and go with what I knew should have been a shoo-in pre-season? I mean Bologna's position doesn't lie, but maybe Monza's does?

Well Roma gave you an exact score with that very late goal of El sharawy. For the other match of today.... i reallu dont know what to say im not following so much this league and minor this kind of teams.

A really tight end of the round for the yellow cap.

Thanks, and yes i win the yellow cap, the past week win the EPL yellow cap and now the Serie A yellow cap, maybe the next week i can win the La Liga yellow cap Tongue.

In the final game when monza scores i think i can t win the round but Bologna react and finally win.

We are heading to the finals rounds before de World Cup.

Serie A teams needs to recover not only quality also regularity.

I would not call irregularity over Lazio loses, they are simply not properly managed
watching closely, since I have them to win championship, Lazio tried to rest some players, but things got out of control

it is really hard to lose from Salernitana, after early lead, but Salernitana scored two great goals, and Lazio failed to control the match

And....... YES Lazio making Lazion things, WHY? why they cant be regular? .
